But I would carry on and just put this one with loft. I was taught that you put until you can’t put anymore. So really I could still put this, but once you can’t put and once it gets a bit too far for a put or there’s a bit too much grass, you would carry on putting, but you would just add loft. Okay. So, um, for instance, I’ll do I’ll do it with a with a lob wedge. But um you know the first shot here if I just put it with a a lob wedge and and like belly wedge it that would be a put and then the next thing I would do if I had to loft it. Did anybody get that one? That was good that was a nice shot. Um, so there’s a couple of different things maybe in setup, but only minute.

Note that when he says “with loft” it only means the club had more loft than the putter. Meaning, he doesn’t do anything differently. The wedge loft works for him. He’s not trying to scoop it up or anything.
Pros are such bad instructors
That's a great way of describing it, chipping that is, keeps it really simple and no need for fancy techniques that most golfers cannot execute, If you want to duff your chips try Phil's masterclass video on chipping because you'll need to be world class to execute what he teaches.
