One time we found a (admittedly beautiful) skunk during my buddies fraternity golf tournament. I was born and raised on a farm and know from experience that if a skunk gets me, I have to burn my clothes and shave my body… so I don’t fool with them. Well one of my partners was up for some fooling and headed over to give it a pet against my suggestions to move along.
So he gets within skunking range and buddy perked up pretty aggressively like it was gonna spray and thankfully cooler heads prevailed. So the skunk bolted anyhow when we got back in the carts, and we saw our buddies on the next fairway coming from the opposite direction so we corralled this majestic skunk with beautiful flowing white hair into their fairway towards their cart. The skunk missed, but it was still funny.

Our Local course is called Fox hollow. When they were redesigning it two decades ago they found two or three fox dens with dozens of golf balls… Foxes thought they were eggs 🙂

Had a fox take my ball off the green once after a sweet approach. Wasn’t even mad.

I’ll take that any day over the rattlesnakes we have here.

We have them in our neighborhood from time to time, they are sweet and probably keep the rabbit population in check, I love seeing them…
They’re beautiful animals. I’d love to have one as a pet lol

It’s the best because the wildlife get so used to the people being around that they’re around too. I grew up in a rural area and whenever I go back and play, there will be deer or turkey within 5 feet of you and not even care.

We mostly get Cobra Chickens up here, but I’ve seen the rare occasional fox!
