At this New Hampshire resort, you can golf with llamas
I’m trying to start a workout, but there’s nothing about llama golf. Do you think I should go driver or like long iron off the tea? I’m getting nothing. Okay, we have some bonding to do. I need more. Elmer and Yahi aren’t your typical llamas. They’re hardworking caddies at this New Hampshire resort. They recently joined the workforce after living the funemployed life with these guys at the farm there. I came to find out if this duo has what it takes to make it in the golf world. There’s a lot of great caddies out there, a lot of famous caddies with great course knowledge and, you know, kind of just just they know how to read their golfers. They know how to read, you know, everything that’s out there that you might encounter on the golf course. This isn’t quite that. The llamas are here to make the game a little less serious. Hey, thank you for allowing that. I really appreciate that. We’re going to be buds eventually. I think we only played three holes together, partly because of the weather, but mostly because Elmer and Yahi are still learning the ropes. Did you see it? He’s a beast of few words, but those words carry weight. This could catch on. I would like to golf with one again. I don’t have any treats, man. Hey, it’s been fun, though. Have a good rest of your summer.
Join Matt Porter as he plays a few holes with Elmer and Yowie, his llama caddies, at Mountain View Grand Resort & Spa in Whitefield, N.H.
