Na these things are definitely getting touchy with the boundaries. Last time i played it did this to me when i was on the dang cart path
Depends on the course but sometimes I’m 20-30 ft away from the geofence and get dinged by the cart. I’d happily give up the screen to have cart freedom and use common sense
Been driving the carts in reverse lately to avoid this problem
About a week ago, I had a cart shut down on the cart path because it wanted me to return to the cart path.
One time my friend parked the cart with a sliver of the right front wheel off the cart path and it got locked. Granted it was around the green, but still. Lol.

Had one going off on the concrete path. (Slight rain) Called pro shop to bring me a new cart..
Played a hole and a 1/2 in reverse.. called again. They said to keep it on the path in an attitude voice. I said I am on the path, you got till I finish this hole or this cart might be on fire…
Kid showed up 2 minutes later with a cart.
They’re absolutely sensitive at some courses. Had my ass driving in reverse right next to the cart path for no reason.
Yeah I got far enough off track last week that within 10’ of it beeping at me it shut down and I had to push the cart back by hand. I was so pissed.
It’s all fun and games until you’re out on 13 and lightning or tornadoes spin up and you’re trying to bee-line it for the clubhouse.
I’ve got a course that locks it out on the concrete path.
Anyone know if you turn off the GPS, it kills the geofencing ability till you turn it back on? I too am getting a little tired of courses that chirp at me when I’m 100% on the cart path and I just need to get through the area where it’s blanking out.
I played at my brother in laws course. Little did I know you can adjust the geo fence in real time and he had the controls. It was a long round.
Fastest route back to the clubhouse after the lightning horn sounds is a straight line…but you’re not going to make it if you’re ridin’ in one of these.
Somebody should call the government. 🙂
Had this happen four times on a round one day when it was cart path only. We were on the cart path. First time we put it in neutral and pushed it like a lineman sled until it was back to normal then the other three we had to make a big loop in reverse and continue in reverse for like 30 yards.

Played a course that had geofencing. Locked the cart on me while riding ON the cart path. Had to drive in reverse and to get from the tee to the green. Then it wouldn’t move at all. Had to call the pro shop to unlock it. Hole driving on the path from the green the next tee, it locked up again. Absolutely infuriating
There’s a little switch behind the screen/ up the top on a lot of them, I turn it off everytime I play in a geo restricted cart.
Back in day you drive to the bottom of lake pick up the ball and drive out like nothing happened
I played the Lake Buena Vista Disney course in Florida and the geofence wouldn’t even unlock after I drove backwards all the way back to the tee box from path beside the green…

This paired with speed controls is my worst nightmare
It can be both lol. Either way, it’s fuckin obnoxious.
Sometimes I the geofence tags me and I end up having to go down the same path I was going originally except in reverse. It’s definitely annoying.
Sometimes GPS is off. But if you get into a restricted area you should be able to reverse out
We’ve had a couple of courses in Vegas relax the triggers on them, thankfully
I got stuck on the cart path near the tee box. Had to reverse over the tee box to get free.

I’ve had this happen to me, on the cart path, which we had to push backwards because it wouldn’t even go in reverse.
