And they turn down the kick at the post to go for the try. And Bundyaki Gibson Park chances score. It was bold. It was spot on. Australia think the ball might have been dropped and not scored. I know. Is he to be denied? Is a knock on, but there’s previous offside by goal. So, we restart the game with a penalty against goal. The Lions are all in here. There’s simply no debate now about whether they’ll kick this. They’ve gone all out for a try if the Wiz can survive. Oh, they can’t. It was a dive. In the act of scoring, Dan Shin Yeah, he’s scoring that trial right and that’s what mattered to the referee and that’s what matters to the Lion supporters. [Applause] Well, it’s stopped but Gordon’s having a go and he’s strong and it’s another offside and it might be another try. Referee will take a look. Well, it’s not. It keeps going. Wilson to Mcight’s [Applause] in there. Is that it? It is. It’s Slipper. He doesn’t score many. It’s going to get worse for the Lions. Freeman goes to the Simbin. James Slipper scores his fourth international try in 146 caps. backwards. Is on here is on. He was calling and it never gets there because Gordon has gone now. They were wounded. They were always going to fight. But this is some fight. Jorgensson that footwork got such power in the step. The way he gets away is isolated here. Mcright, have they seen it? And it’s on to right. Suite. Oh, Su Lee comes into the series. Oh, they’re away again. Right. Australian confidence growing by the minute. Well, they needed the public behind them. 30 minutes into this game, they are right behind them. The MCG, like we said, it is rocking here. [Applause] Australia hitting hard in defense. That wasn’t happening last week. None of this was happening last week. Gibson Park makes the break. Coning on Curry. That happened last week and he scores again. A really good finish here from Tom Curry. This needed a bit of finishing. Good step. And he’s two from two in Lions test this this uh this this year. Sheen looks to show that footwork. In goes the nine. Now the release. Out. It comes and over it goes. Hugh Jones has been a star of this tour. And the Lions are starring here. Need something to show for it. And I think line is going to deliver it. Yes, he is. 2617. [Applause] Lines are about to change it up. Jordan inside. Gleon. Good ball. Mcright. Looks for the space, looks for the support. Sui, what a tackle that is. So important from Curry. Might have stopped to try that. It’s caused the knock on. He’s had maximum defensive effect and Australia know it. They know they’ve got to start to cut this deficit before it gets too squeaky. Low again. He’s so strong in these situations. Tugburn two. Is that a motion towards a series win? Still so much to do, but what a score. Oh, they’d love this as well. And they’ve got it. Burn goes forward. What a finish. What a test. Russell thinks about the kick again. Looks for the pass. He found it last week at the start. Doesn’t do it now. Ryan, Gibson Park, Kenan. Conan’s waiting. Get it done. They’ve done it. The story written as the Lions would have wished for. Now, what a finish. Wilson’s desperate here. Toi arrives. Go away. What do they know? I do. Go away. What do they hope for? Well, Tzano’s gone rocking back there. And I think that’s the potential issue, isn’t it? Morgan Tano on the screen. Let’s go through it. Yeah, both of the player rock at the same time in a dynamic rock. Player is wrapping. We don’t see any for play. Try that. Look at the smile from Jack Morgan. You’ve not lost it, mate. You’ve helped win it. Russell takes his time. Of course he does. And for once, he doesn’t care. The Lions win the series. Their first series win since Australia 12 years ago. But this time they’ve done it with a test match to spare.

  1. The referee played an advantage and the Lion's spilled the ball when they should have scored. Why do they get the penalty anyway? The advantage is carried on for far too long in RU these days.

  2. Highlights don’t show the sweeping move that got the lions down the Australia’s 22 at the end, poor editing to say the least…!

  3. I really couldn’t care any less who won. Just came here to point out that victory must feel somewhat empty to the lions who cant put a winning side together from all homegrown players. Gotta borrow 7 players from 3 southern hemisphere countries. 😂 what a joke

  4. Man, credit to the Lions, but really, Australia. Really good game, and to me Australia looked good.

  5. The Aussies have the cheek to call the Brits winging poms suck it up Aus the clearout was legal as the professional match officals declared.
If Harry Wilson spent as much time concentrating on playing as he does complaining to the referee he'd be a belter. As for Mr. Turinui never seen anyone squeak like a spoilt schoolgirl. Suck it up boys you came second

  6. Well I've watched the match another couple of times since Saturday…What a glorious spectacle of the best sport on this planet !!

  7. Came to see the clear out controversy, personally i thought it was a fine clear out. We have to put some onus on players too, if you run in head first and super low, you put your self in danger and if you put your head low into a ruck (maybe even a bridge) expect to get your head hit. Just my opinion of course.

  8. Only watched the game now, however, I had read articles and reviews about the game. While watching, a few things came to mind: It seems like World Rugby hired a storyteller, there is no other way I can understand the ridiculousness of the first 30 minutes. Wallabies got away with murder at the breakdown – in from the side, never on feet, plus at least 2 high tackles-, I saw at least 3 potential red cards by Skelton (really like the guy, but he was over the top), knee in the back, hand in the face, throat etc. and since when is it allowed to "thrust" the opposition player's faces with one's hip at the breakdown? – Wallabies were nothing special, they were just like any other team that gets every referee decision (for dramatic reasons?), the yellow for Freeman was a joke, Gordon's try was Piardi blocking Porter's tackle (what is he doing in that position??). Now, I read Itoje was massive, didn't see it, one good sack, one steal of an unprotected ball – invisible otherwise (apart from bad ref interactions). Stuart's double roll was another nonsensical decision, he was dragged by one player and pushed by two Lions, a dynamic situation – the whole saga on the Morgan clearout is just farcical, there was nothing, absolutely nothing in that, disgraceful how media and Wallabies tried to make it a thing.

Best man on the pitch was neither Curry (good cameo though!), and definitely not Itoje or Keenan (good game!), it was Finn Russell, man of the match, man of the tour – his defence was incredible, game control spot on, always made the right decisions. Biggar and O'Gara seem to have trouble saying good things about him…but he bossed the game, stayed calm and apart from a shite day off the tee was fantastic.

P.S. please play VDM in the 3rd match, with so much space, he will score at least twice, no need for Lowe's big boot!

P.P.S. Boks by 18 in the first game of the Rugby Championship!

  9. Everyone was so focussed on whether the clearout was dangerous that no one even noticed that both of the players left their feet during the clearout

  10. Not only is it a crusher tackle but once he’s out the cleaner grabs his legs denying him the chance to defend and the guy who comes in after Morgan has come in from the side , crusher tackle and clear obstruction

  11. So glad to see the dirty aus players humbled!! Keep the pressure and stream roll them in the third test!! Low class and poor quality side.

  12. Jac Morgan clear out cleared by world rugby, cant wait for the Springboks to capitalize on this ruling. Imagine Eben Etzebeth clearing out Nick White like this. Finger licking good.

  13. I’m sure no Aussies want to hear this but this can be a learning experience for a young squad … where was this passion week 1

  14. How can that be called "arriving at the same time and wrapping" when he clearly came later than the guy over the ball and his shoulder made contact with his head…. absolute joke

  15. There were two things wrong with that Sheehan try firstly there was elevation and secondly elevation to get over the defenders
