Welcome to Georgia home of the 2025 All Star week and the 2025 all star futures game. A big battle between the American League and National League right here at Truest Park , home of the Atlanta Braves. The best of minor league baseball has come from all around the country to face off with each other here today. We know they want to win, but it’s not really about winning. It can just continue to get bigger but not good enough here infield wraps it up for the national league side of things. We are scoreless as we head to the bottom of the second here in the all star futures game, as D Angelo sanchez takes over on the mound. I’m hoping we’re going to see throw with both arms and here we are seeing he’s got a special glove, he just uh struck out, mate throwing right handed. Now, here he is lefty two player guy and not, not just a two player guy. He’s 98 from the right. He’s got a good slider from the left, fly out to left and the out made and you’re getting a really good look at at who’s to come on the big league side of things here. That’s why you keep him as a 97 future is bright, still scoreless here at the All Star Futures game this year and it has been a showcase for pitchers right now. George Lombard junior here working a full count. He’s the fifth in the order to see a 32 and make it four as he’ll go ahead and advance to first and they’ll flip around the lineup’s future. Was that fun or what these guys want to show out on the, on the biggest stage, they may give good lift service to this being an exhibition and it’s fun, but they all compete. Now, Lumbard does hold at third as Clark runs through and that’s exactly why you busted every single time. I don’t think you’re going to see him taking that bat off in terms of the hustle and all of a sudden. You’re trying to somewhat hit the ball over the stadium, not just, not just over the, but you know, at the same time you got to have fun with it. And this is a really, really cool moment because the kid on the mound is Marquis Grissom junior, the son of the opposing manager, Marquis Grissom who got drafted originally as a pitcher , his son gets to do that side of things instead professionally who taught him that changeup. I mean, it is nasty. He worked at a young age and he probably when he was about 1514 , 15 and one of his greatest weapons, I think a little too much. You’ve got Sebastian Walcott now miked up, he’s going to take us through this at bat. Top of the zone has to be something for you right now in the center field and playable there it’s enough to tag a runner up. And the hitting right there sees the RB I at hand opportunity, a great piece of hitting right there and already off the bat here with hope a leadoff single , Noah Schultz is the new pitcher out of AAA Charlotte on the mound for the American League team. A two nothing advance and it gets on you in a hurry. Noah Schultz is every bit, 6 ft 10 inches back off of Schultz a lot right back to the mound. No one’s going to be able to do anything with it. And so Jesus will be safe here, a pair on for the National League and it will bring the go ahead run to the plate for Noah Schultz. That’s just tough. Don’t play ball essentially. But now you got the Paula who’s considered to have the best approach in all of baseball powered out towards right field. This one going back to the wall in the stands, take the lead on a swing, a three run shot. So seven pitches in, in trouble for Noahs, the National league who couldn’t get anything through the first three and they immediately answer off the Jose de Paula swing out to right field 108 off the bat. Absolutely no doubt, Connor Griffin stands in and again, they’ll go to a new pitcher here in a Santa throwing Dominican out of and that’s not what you want ever. That’s a hit by pitch and for Conor Griffin, you see a little flex of the hand there right on the wrist. They’re going to send out the training staff, the entire city of Pittsburgh just flinched and he’s going to come out of the game. There’s no reason for him to stay like this. I’m sure he wanted to. That was 97. You’re in case you are circling in one pitch, one count one zone. Right. This is wild here for Santa against Casey out towards the left. Is it going to drop in for a base? It does bring in another run for the National league here as Casey arrives with a stand up aa little extra insurance here now and make it 42 type of approach that he has professional approach, a big league approach. To be honest with you, a consistent approach. What did you try to talk to chipper about? Well, I mean, honestly, Chipper is one of the best hitters. Oh my gosh. What a yeah, honestly, tipper’s been one of the best hitters of all time, so I’d be dumb not to ask questions. Brilliant catch in center field. That’ll make your skipper happy bottom of the seventh and a reminder you do play the full seven here. You get these guys a chance. So it will be gates jump on the mound. The number one athletics prospect gets a chance to pitch against the number one prospect for the Padres in Leo 02. And that’s a nasty strike out there for Gage.
