Here in the Lone Star State as the A’s and Rangers are set for game two of this three game series. Here on Tuesday night, the A’s have had a really tough time getting to Jacob deGrom since he became a ranger against the 824 strikeouts, no walks. And he’s going to try and add to that strikeout total. Keeping that walk total with a donut here tonight gets ready to deal him into Lawrence Butler. He swung on a well, garcia going back and it is gone, a home run for Butler and the A’s lead it one to nothing. We talked about how you get on Jacob deGrom. It’s a great start. This is what you got to do for a guy like deGrom. You got to take it to him, see if you can get to him early and if you can, it could be a great night for the athletics. Jacob wilson has struck out. I’m looking forward to deGrom versus Kurtz. Specifically, the youngster, Nick Kurtz has been one of the best hitters in baseball here recently and a swing and a miss , it was the fastball. So he strikes out the two rookies Wilson and Kurtz and now we’ll deal with the veteran Brent Rooker swung on and drilled on one hop right to Corey Seager. Let’s see if he can’t keep them on the ground and in the ballpark because, you know, this Rangers lineup can take advantage of mistakes that brings up Evan Carter 10 in the air to center Butler coming in, losing the cap sliding head first and making a nice catch. That is the second terrific play in center field that Lawrence Butler has made in as many games and look, there’s going to be no replacing a guy like Denzel Clark. I think everybody has already got to a point where you can appreciate that. But what I’d like for you to appreciate is Lawrence Butler ability to move from the corner spot and right back over to center field and seemingly pick up right where he has left off. That is the second phenomenal effort from the law in his many days off the bat of my, it was able to get up and Robs in second two outs. Now for josh Young 0 to 2 pitch bouncing ball to short Wilson get it throw to first and that will retire the side a little bit of traffic for Gin, but he posts a scoreless second one away. He goes with the slider as the put away pitch perfectly located. Strike three. Shay langeliers. Now Kurtz is breaking for second on the first pitch swinging miss throw down to second is high and Kurtz sneaks underneath the tag with a stolen base. Don’t sleep on the big fella. Got a pretty good jump off to, reminds me a lot of Paul Goldschmidt in the way he can run as a big first baseman. One ball, two strikes, the pitch swing and a Miss, he struck him out on a slider. That was an awkward ugly swing by Shay langeliers. The fifth punch out for Jacob the ground. Rangers trailing after the leadoff home run by Lawrence Butler. Here’s a garcia and he will send that high and deep out to left Butler on the run. I don’t think he’s bringing that back. It’s gone. Bobi ties the game big hit from garcia here he gets the hanging breaking ball catches it clean and he knows it off the bat. It’s a 11 ball game as we start the fifth Tyler Soderstrom, Miguel And-jar and Kobe Thomas to do the swinging against Jacob deGrom. And here comes the pitch to Soderstrom and that’s belted straight away right field on a line. It is off the base of the wall. Ricochet played by garcia Fires into second, but it’s late. That is a ringing double for Tyler Soderstrom swing and a miss. He struck him out on a slider that’s six punch outs for Jacob deGrom. Tonight. We’re tied at one. Kobe Thomas is coming up next and he strikes out Thomas back to back K’s now. So two big strikeouts for deGrom after the leadoff double and is coming up swinging strike three. He went around flings the bat away and the helmet as well as deGrom after allowing a leadoff double strikes out three in a row and he has fanned eight in the ball game with two outs in the sixth. Nick Kurtz will be the hitter that swing on drive to left center. It’s going to fall in for a base hit. So Kurtz picks up a two out single here in the sixth inning and not only Brent Rooker, the designated hitter and a swing and a Miss here on a deGrom heater Rooker is out on strikes for sean in his 29th appearance , two and 43.41 a 11 ball. Game. This could be a pretty critical half inning here with one out. Here’s Simeon. That ball is hit well down the left field line. Will it stay fair? It is. He’ll score. Hika pulls up at second huge two out RB I single by the Juice Seeger. One for three with a double in this game. There’s a swing and a drive deep out to right that one. A no Doubter, Corey Seager opens this one up for the Rangers and stay super hot. Corey Seager. Corey Seeger with a three run home run and the Rangers now lead six to 16 to 2. The Rangers lead as Sham Armstrong comes on. So Armstrong gets the call here. It will be mcgill on Duard to lead things off a swing and a miss, he strikes out there’s one out in the night and is the 11th strikeout for ranger pitching and here is Colby Thomas a strike three call back to back strikeouts and the A’s are down to their final out. He lift one into short center field that drops in base hit. The A’s are not yet dead but left handed hitter start of the game. The very first at bat of the contest tonight, a line drive home run. Here’s the payoff. Armstrong strikes out the side in the ninth inning and the Rangers complete their 15th comeback win of the year six to the final big homer from Corey Seeger and Armstrong finishes out this game with three K’s the first one to and hard, the next one to Thomas and the last one to Lawrence Butler. Jonah holds on to it and the Rangers have won the series. They look for the sweep tomorrow night.
