Discussing the hospitality component of golf courses on Tee Baggers 🍻 #golfgods #teebaggers

So, I think a lot of FnB staff around the country kind of just think it’s I’m just there to serve the member. Yeah, the members are easy to serve because they play the same time every day. They they play with the same people. They order the same thing. You can just guess. You just walk up there and put another pint down and they’re going to they’re going to take it. So, for them to be able to go out of their way, I think, and anticipate a visitor coming and ask them how their day was. And if it’s average, they can save it. And then you guys walk away and go, “Actually, gez, that person that Jimmy in the bar, what a what a what a what a fella.” You walk away thinking that was a good golf course. Cuz to the average punter, we don’t separate bar to pro shop to to us, it’s all the course. So if we walk away from a course cuz the bartender was great, you think, “What a great course. What a great experience.” Yeah.

  1. I was put off golf as a kid due to the snobbery of members and staff in the clubhouse. These places definitely need to be more welcoming.
