Voxa Sand Art celebrates women's golf

Mural by Rachel Shiamh on Porthcawl beach

A performance by the artist Rachel Shiamh in the sand of Rest Bay, imagined by VOXA, “women’s team founded by Suzann pettersen earlier in the season,” depicting a golfer in mid-swing, celebrates the strength, individuality, and rise of women’s golf. The work pays tribute to the players who are shaping the present and future of the sport.

De Ronni Yin (China) to Gaby lopez (Mexico), Charlotte Ciganda (Spain), Shannon Tan (Singapore), Sophia popov (Germany), Ashley Lau (Malaysia) and the French Adela Cernousek, the VOXA selection embodies a new generation of daring, committed players ready to take on all challenges and push the limits.

Voxa Sand Art celebrates women's golf

Mural created by sand artist Rachel Shiamh, deeply connected to women’s sport:

« I’ve been creating sand art for years; it gives me immense joy and a real sense of connection with the sea. My father was an Olympic sprinter and later manager of the British athletics team. He was a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment through sport.

Being part of this celebration of women’s golf on this beach, with the tide rising around us, is both personal and powerful. I am proud to continue her legacy in my own way. » commented Rachel Shiamh

VOXA isn’t just building a team; it’s starting a movement in a still-traditional sport. With ambition and vision, VOXA is changing the perception of women’s golf. By highlighting global talent and promoting new voices, the organization hopes to inspire more women and girls to play and stay in the game.

As the crowds gather in Porthcawl, the hope is palpable: that women’s golf will one day receive the triumphant reception that the Lionesses have inspired this week.
