good afternoon good evening and good morning and welcome to another edition of the sportswise veteran it’s Thursday guys there’s football on tonight week two of preseason starts tonight so not every game is going to be that entertaining but regardless it’s football and we have it so that’s awesome I’m sitting here thinking earlier today what am I going to talk about everybody has all these players they love and everything it’s all great but what about players that are hated so I looked it up there’s a story from Aaron Hagar that was updated on August 1st 2024 the most hated players in the NFL I just did I’m just doing the usual just top 10 but I want to get this off my chest my most hated player in the NFL I’m G say it you see it on the chest see it on the hat right now Mr Patrick Mahomes why is is it cheap shots is it this no he’s beat the 49ers twice in the Super Bowl I can’t get over that call me that kind of fan but him nope can’t stand him he is that great of a player and nope can’t stand him sorry I’mma Be that I don’t want to say crybaby but I’m not over I’m bitter but let’s hit this top 10 number 10 on his list of Aaron Hagar’s list is Jaylen Ramsey Jaylen ramsley is a trash talker not unlike any other player in the NFL but this talented player brings it to another level level Ramsey verbally attacked just about every quarterback in the league in one GQ interview last year his tenure with the Jaguars was cut short to it his childish Antics stemming from a contract dispute that overshadowed any play he made on the field number nine on the list Kareem hunt Kareem hunt had an amazing rookie year with Kansas City Chiefs back in 2017 2018 season was shapen up to be just as fruitful until that video of haunt assaulting a woman at a hotel was leaked following the leak the Chiefs released him he’s now at the Cleveland Browns and has gotten off suspension to resume his career trying to win back football fans that’s one of the hardest things to do number eight on the list this is a player that hasn’t officially retired but he’s not playing in a league but still making noise Mr Cam Newton Cam Newton has all the talent in the world however in his one Super Bowl appearance Newton appeared to have given up on a play that involved a live ball at his feed and didn’t even bother to try and recover it after this that Super Bowl loss Newton P pouted during the post a postgame press conference and showed to millions of people all over the world that he’s a sore loser that level of respect fans had have had for Newton was never the same after that Super Bowl number seven the diva himself Mr obj Odell Beckham Jr Odell Beckham Jr is a prototypical diva wide receiver obj’s Talent is undeniable that one catch undeniable but when things aren’t going his way or the rest of the team is performing at a subpar level he tends to lash out he hasn’t gotten to the Antonio Brown level of uh detrimental Behavior but he tends to be in the news for more than just his play which is never endearing to fans number six on the list and I’m actually surprised he’s not a little higher Aaron Rogers Aaron Rogers Aaron roders is one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time but with a prickly attitude and what people see as a huge ego he seems to be be loed by many fans and players alike even former teammates have gone on the record explaining their problem with Rogers and his lack of leadership skills Aaron’s done something I think he’s still living out that chip when he wasn’t drafting number one back in the draft when Alex Smith was taken by the 49ers but I’m hoping he I’m hoping he succeeds in New York but I I think this will be his last year or second to last year in the league number five on the list Ezekiel Elliott e Ezekiel Elliott may have checked every box for what it takes to be hated in the NFL he’s extremely talented he was suspended for violating the personal conduct policy held out during training camp for a new contract and maybe one of the most egregious violations of all he plays for the Dallas Cowboys plan and simple Dallas Cowboys if you’ve played for Dallas it’s like being in baseball and playing for the Yankees you’re automatically hated number four on the list and again I thought he’d be higher but indam su indam su earned the reputation for being a cheap shot artist early on in his career Sue had been fined numerous time for his onfield indiscretions which included stepping on opponents and kicking them his dirty plays have subsided to a degree over the years but his dirty Play Still pops up every once in a while I just remember watching him stomp on players Le them right in the chest right uh and get suspended it’s crazy how players do that number three on the list on the list Henry rugs in 2021 Henry rugs was involved in a car crash while driving drunk that killed a 23-year-old woman and her dog there’s no easier to hate easier type of player to hate than an entitle titled millionaire who drives recklessly and harms innocent bystander in his way rug’s actions were so despicable he was dropped by the Las Vegas Raiders and may not be considered an NFL player much longer no rugs is out of the league he’s in prison and I’m glad he’s there he there’s no place for that kind of stuff especially just in Society number two on the list Antonio Brown Antonio Brown has all the talent in the world but Burns so many bridges with his teams that he may have played his last down we all remember him Chuck and Deuces walking off the field his Antics off the field such as frostbitten feet helmet issues sexual abuse allegations and social media M meltdowns have spurned even his most Ardent supporters the dude is not coming back in the league ever since that one hit he took on the punp return he just has not been the same and finally number one on the list Deshawn Watson just what this dude did was Just Amazing Just baffling beginning in 2021 Watson had been sued by more than two dozen female massage therapists accusing him of sexual harassment and sexual assault Watson has denied any wrongdoing despite settling 20 claims of sexual misconduct disagreements with the Texas front office and multiple sexual misconduct lawsuits kept Watson out for the entire 2021 season and led to his trade to Cleveland Watson has been was suspended 11 games by the NFL for the 2022 season then he came back last year got hurt and now he’s trying to recover again I His Image isn’t coming back he’s he’s done he’s going to finish his contract his guaranteed contract that Cleveland gave him and then I think no one else is going to take a a chance on him very talented quarterback but just too many issues let me know who your most hated player is um there’s a lot of them out there everybody has their fan favorites everybody has the ones they hate I’m not saying they hate the ones that they want to see have their leg broken in a game and not play the rest of the season I’m not saying I want that done for Patrick Mahomes I wish him all the well I just hope he stops winning Super Bowls so the 49ers can win one please all right well this has been the sportswise veteran I hope you guys
