RESULTS – MENS 18 HOLE STROKE 26/27 JULY – 1st Ciaran Beirne 63 nett, 2nd Killian Egan 66 3rd Gerry Rogers 68.
MENS 12 HOLE 18th JULY – 1st Martin Sweeney 24 points, 2nd Jim Callery 3rd Mark Whelan 22.
FIXTURES – The men compete next weekend (9th/10th August) in an 18 Hole Stableford. The following weekend the men will have an 18 Hole Stroke, while the women will compete in the Captains Prize to the Ladies. The biggest competition of the year for the men, Shane O’Dowds Captains Prize takes place on Sunday 31/8/25, which is later than originally scheduled.
JUNIORS – Our Junior programme has been a great success this year, the most notable feature of which has been the clubs participation in our first Junior Interclub competition in many years, the “Sixes League”. Our first team in this event were John Carty, Lochlann O’Dowd, Hannah O’Donohoe, Betsy Hannon, Bearach Madden and Timmy who acquitted themselves very well in Tubbercurry Golf Club. The next fixture was hosted by ourselves on 30/7/25, with the following team doing very well for us – Ruadhán Egan, John Carty, Leah O’Donohoe, Elsie O’Connor, Conor Hamill and Jack Murray. Hosting this event took a considerable volunteer effort, thanks very much to all the parents/families who chipped in to help on the day, Damien Moran from Tubbercurry, our Green keeper Charley Beirne and also our former Junior Convenors Moira Egan and Brendan Gaffney. We have 2 fixtures remaining, in Castle Dargan and Carrick On Shannon Golf Clubs.
