Adjustment way. What is that
way? I thought there’d be a bigger
adjustment but I mean it’s just you know, it was fun. I had a
blast on that scrimmage day, just going out there, jumping
out there, still taking some Center reps but, you know, just
to be able to jump in there and you know, it’s like my back when I was a rookie playing guard,
you know, I was swimming in there, you know, trying to
figure out now having the whole centers perspective I could, I
just feel like, you know, I can play so fast just because I
know, you know, the calls, I know what’s going
to what’s going to be called Old and I had a blast out there
who’s a good time, I had fun on Saturday, you guys can be as a rushing
attack. You got obviously the runners that you have, but
also the way the line has progressed. I mean, I think we have a great o-line for especially for
the Run game. You know, we got a bunch of tough physical
guys that will get on their blocks going downhill. And
then, you know, when we do get into those combos, we can
move people. So I’m really excited, you know, we’re still
taking those those next steps, but I’m really excited about the
whole Run game that we’re doing. Is there any concern about the
passing game? No, no, I wouldn’t say so. You
know, we always got to keep getting better but, you know,
it’s still early in Camp and we’re still still working
towards, you know, kind of that, that,
that end goal that we have in mind. But, you know, we’re not there yet,
but we know we just got to keep moving forward. Keep, you know,
every time we go into the meeting room, you know,
coach is honest with us, we’re
honest with ourselves and we’re able to
kind of just take that take that on the chin and learn
from it, observe about Justin fields. He’s freaking awesome. I mean, he’s done a kick-ass
job, just seeing him, you know, back there slinging it and, you know, just the way he
carries himself as a as an athlete, as a quarterback.
He I mean, I, you know, really respect the
hell out of him and you know, what he does, and how
he kind of prepares himself. And
then, you know, it shows on the field, what he can do and it’s amazing. And then, you
know, just being dynamic as he is, you know, being able. I’m
sure you guys saw in the scrimmage the other day. being able to take over the game
on his feet and, you know, it’s just I’ve never
played with a dual threat quarterback, so it’s an awesome
feeling so you don’t have to don’t have to How would you describe coach
hybrid style, run 50 times, the win? He likes to run the ball and
that, you know, as a no line then that’s what you know. We
take pride in, you know, our ability to run the ball. So you
know, just being really excited about him. He’s a great coach,
you know, former player somebody who definitely respects
the game and you know, is able to kind of get a pull
the curtains back and really teach us, you know what, we’re trying to
accomplish. And yeah, I really like, you know,
being in the room with Steve, It’s exciting, you know, I’m
just like, you know, we bring to bring up the backs, you know,
we got such a great group of running backs back there with
Braylon Isaiah and Breeze. Cash. That’s, I can’t
believe but they I mean, just that
triple threat that we got back there and then even Ken a and
you know the other guys it’s just it’s a good feeling going
into the season knowing that That we just have such a great
running back room with such. You
know, the guys, all got a good head on
their shoulders. You know, who want to win. Want to run the
ball and want to run the ball physically. So I’m
excited about it. Did you ever go to Rambo when
you were in Madison? I did not know actually. I never even
caught a game up there. I think what did I do out there? I actually only went up to Green
Bay once and it was for my buddies, sister’s wedding. Yeah, oh yeah. Oh yeah, absolutely. We’re
actually supposed to in college. We had a with Notre
Dame, we are supposed to play them at Soldier. We play them at
Soldier Field and then, we never ended up playing the game
at Lambeau. The second one that we
were supposed to which I was definitely excited
about. I know it’s, you know, a lot of people say, it’s
different different plane up there. The turf is, you know, or
the grass. It’s just that I’ve heard, it’s a lot
different. So you know, I’ve been excited to play up there
and you know, if I take the field and we all be excited
for it. Thank you guys. Yeah, I think it’s a, I think
I’m very blessed, you know? I was able to get it off season full of, you know, just training. And I feel really fast quick and
comfortable out there going my second year, you know,
staying at one position. So, right now I’m from the
really comfortable and, you know, playing on my boo, makes
it easy to Why is that? I think we remember who, you know, you just he has such
raw talent and then I feel like he’s almost almost kind of ahead of
his game, you know, and in terms of like technique and
then knowing what to do and knowing how to execute a play. So yeah, did you say this is what you
guys have a front side. Is better than the best.
This is potentially the best group
you’ve had with the Jackson. Yeah I think there’s
potential for that for sure. I definitely see in the future
of me saying that you know right now that I don’t
ever like to you know make make future you know comments
you know until you get out of camp and then nothing’s like
that first game. You know I’m saying where everything’s got a
click and you know all 11 players got to
be on their assignment so we’ll see. Learned about Justin Fields as a
pastor. I think he’s very calm in the
pocket. I could see that, you know, when I when I, you know, watch the
tape. I think he has good paco2 pocket awareness to and then when he’s out there,
you know, being comfortable he knows how to sing that rock and get. It’s our you know, our
whiteouts 50 times again the wind. So I
mean I would like to try as you know like running the ball. I
think of this online. We can too. But I mean when you got Jay
feels back there too. You know, I think it opens up a
lot of opportunities for the office. I’m really excited
about You may not run the ball 50
times but just has side, is it just, you know, put more of an
emphasis on the running game? Yeah I think the coaching staff
is told a straight-up like we’re gonna run the ball, you
know I’m saying? And that’s different from the past and as office line we’d like
that you know obviously we like hearing that because you always run the ball
and get the defense Tire it out, you know? So then, you
know, the play actions open up and then, you know, you can get
a couple drop back seen therefore, you know, g-dub and all other
seems to do a thing. Why it’s so the The game is very important
to any offense. Any, you know, any team knows that. So we had
to go out there and execute you guys. Last year, you were, the team was last in rushing
attempts. You guys didn’t run the ball that much. It was that
something you were aware of at the time. Or you look back at that would what
thoughts? Go through your, you had to be honest? I had no
clue that we were we that was a stat. But, you know, looking back at it. I
could see that now, you know, just what the type of
offense were running. But yeah, this year, you know, I
think the evidence is is a is run, you know, run the ball
and and execute at the highest level
possible. This group of Friday said you
have to say it’s training. Camp about what do you like about what you
guys have, you know, that the potential
started group via? Well, the one thing the
first thing is physicality, you know, I think each of us, you know, coming to work every
day and in our example of that, the
physicality then also, you know, just our communication,
our for a I feel like it’s been you know really key to the execution you know, especially when you
got a guy in there like tip you know going on its third year you know kind of knows how to
run this up offense and then Josh Myers is a really good job
as well too. So just physicality and communication
are key. I think it’s just kind of, you know, players and,
and certain groups, you know, certain individual
groups after practice shown it in team
meeting, you know, or showing it in offensive and defensive unit
meetings, I think, you know, other teams
kind of lack accountability, you know. I think that’s The main thing you got to
have, you know, for a successful team kind of
ability and, you know,
discipline, he’s told us wants to cut the
penalties, and you guys are the mother of my city. I got
here. How do you practice now to do
nothing until Feast? Was the season gets here? Yeah, I
think it’s just about now. There’s so many things that
can go into, you know, I’m saying, first things first, as
priests night Pony’s, got to go, that’s easy stuff, right? And
then, when you kind of get into the into the game, all the
holding penalties and an employee penalties, you know,
you could work on those but I think the first thing you
got to start with is pretty steep. Penalties got to eliminate those off the bat, he know, just kind
of recognize, you know, what you’re doing out there and you know, don’t be a I’ll be somebody who repeats
mistakes. Thank you.
