The top 70 players heading to the FedEx Cup Playoffs are set following the conclusion of the Wyndham Championship. Scroll down this page to see which players have made their way into the first Playoffs event.
Cameron Young won his first PGA Tour title in record-breaking fashion to vault from 40th to 16th in the FedEx Cup race.
The most dramatic moment in terms of the FedEx Cup Playoffs during the final round of the Wyndham came when Davis Thompson three-putted the 18th green to fall out of the all-important 70th spot.
Thompson’s bogey at the par-4 18th saw Germany’s Matti Schmid sneak in as a result.
The first Playoffs event will see the top 70 PGA Tour players in the FedEx Cup tee it up in the FedEx St Jude Championship at TPC Southwind from 7-10 August.
Rory McIlroy, who is a record three-time FedEx Cup champion, is the only player to have bypassed the FedEx St Jude Championship and so the field will be shrunk to 69 players.
The top 50 in the Playoffs after that tournament will then advance to the BMW Championship at Caves Valley GC from 14-17 August.
The top 30 in the Playoffs will then advance to the season-ending Tour Championship at East Lake from 21-24 August.
The winner of the Tour Championship wins the FedEx Cup.
This season there is no adjusted handicap start at the Tour Championship.
The winner of the FedEx Cup will earn $10m and the total prize purse for the Tour Championship is $40m.
Scottie Scheffler is the defending FedEx Cup champion.
