Cameron Young’s winning highlights from Wyndham | 2025

It’s set to be another drama-filled competition as the PGA TOUR returns to Greensboro with the final opportunity to qualify for the Playoffs for some and retain membership for others. Presenting itself as the curtain closer to the FedExCup regular season, the Wyndham Championship is hosting plenty of star talent who are looking to finish the regular season strong. Matt Fitzpatrick arrives at Sedgefield Country Club as the odds favorite, with Keegan Bradley and Ben Griffin trailing just behind. All three are looking to challenge returning champion Aaron Rai as he aims to be the first player to go back-to-back at the Wyndham since the 1950’s. Fan favorite Jordan Speith is back in action and too will be looking for an impressive finish to the season. Alongside these stars are other notable players such as Hideki Matsuyama, Max Homa, Tony Finau, Adam Scott, and Rickie Fowler.

Cameron Young pause it. I love that in his swing just to gather yourself at the top. Hard to do. Check in on Cameron Young here. Got to pick up a birdie at the third. Missed a couple early in the round from find Cameron Young. You hear that ground explode when he made contact. Get up there. Frisky. Go. Let’s take a look at what he’s been able to do today on the third. The par three. Found a nice rhythm with the short stick with Cameron Young. Excellent two at the beginning of his round. As we head to the seventh, Cameron Young on the tea. Oh, what a shot for Cameron Young trying to dunk it. Will run out just a little bit on him, but still an opportunity there. Just birdie after birdie as we jump up to the seventh. Nice flow just on the takeback of of the stroke. I think he’s evened that out. Another one just beautifully carrying the good vibes up the leaderboard, but it’s Cameron Young. That’s an eight iron from 175 on the way. And a great looking line. This hole over 500 yards just outside four feet for birdie. Just a little longer than Colt No is tall. And it goes Jamie. Nice. Just a moment. Here’s Cameron Young. This was just a moment ago. So, he can look forward to a birdie putt when he comes back. A nicely done. and he thought about that putt for a good 15 hours or so and Cameron Young drains it to begin his day. He moves to eight under on his round. 15 under for the tournament and great line all over. What a shot by Cameron Young. See the forearms both on the same line. Young burries it. Momentum saving par on one. That’ll give him some juice on the third. His first bury. He’s at 16 under. The lead now four. That’s where it’ll speed up. Great view there. That will speed up. Did speed up to go to the hole? Oh, yes it did. How about that? Cameron Young is rocking. Six shot lead. Oh, this is a great line. Little aggressive. What a shot by Cameron Young. made a long one last all this for Eagle. Well, they might give it a little owl, but that’s three birdies in a row and a seven shot lead for Young by a touchdown. Buckets. It’s this the week he gets his first PGA Tour win. Looking good so far. Four in a row, 19 under and an eight shot lead. Stay short of the Ross. Think about it bunkers and just give yourself a chance for four, but nothing huge. Yeah, well done. Good smart play as Frank mentioned. Very smart. 125 is the number here. Slightly uphill. Air starting to heat up a little. Oh, that’s good. Spin. Great shot, Cam. Very nicely done. He went outside and it did not break. Didn’t need the little adjustment. 39 holes without a bogey and uh makes one there. damage really done on the T. Only walked to the top of the hill and picked out a spot that’s about the size of a softball, maybe a volleyball that he’s focused on. He’s walking after it’s interesting. Just walking, striding. Come on, keep turning. Keep turning. Could it be brilliant effort is a great memory for me. Wishing you all the best for the future, Nate Scotty. Just didn’t quite catch it, Frank. Wow. Been the best putter in the field this week. Oh, settle. Opening bogey. Had to work hard for it, too. Yeah, baby. All right, nice shot at the second for Cameron Young. Got a good chance for Birdie. Little bounce back there. Used the slope to fit it back down to the front. Oh, excellent putt. That’s the way to settle himself down. No problem there. Cameron Young says, “Game on. [Applause] So, he’s got to be very careful with where he lands. This over this green and to the right is no good. See if you keep his feet there with those spikes. Should feed to the hole. Oh, that’s so good right there. That is phenomenal. Absolutely phenomenal. That’s a good lesson at home. Just because you get relief doesn’t mean you have to take it. So, that would be for three in a row. How about that start bogeies the first but three in a row to get the 22 under par. Perfect hole location for that nine iron. Oh, right over the top. That’s a quick pop, but still a great second. This is anything other than flat. But it’s good. I’m losing count. Five in a row. Longest part Cameron’s made all week. 32 ft. This is Velcro in the middle and then it gets a little slick again. Hello. You’d like to think of a little bit of stress, but It’s going to make us wait a little longer. Put Matty Schmidt back in. By the way, he made birdie at 18. Nico tapped in for his three. Cameron, he records a four. [Music] He ripped it by on 16 and left this. It’s been a pleasure. Bogey bogey for Cam Young at 16 and 17, but he’s still six in front of Mesner who finished at 16 under.
