Just like countless golf fans around the country, Tiger Woods paid tribute to a legendary announcer this Sunday.

Former Open Championship winner Ian Baker-Finch announced earlier this year that he’d retire from broadcasting at the end of the PGA Tour season. Well, that moment finally came this Sunday at the Wyndham Championship.

Baker-Finch, who joined CBS in 2007, called Cameron Young’s tournament-sealing putt for this year’s Wyndham Championship. It was an awesome moment for Young, who won his first PGA Tour event this weekend. Leading up to it though, the spotlight was firmly on Baker-Finch.

Before the final round of the Wyndham Championship really kicked into high gear, the great Jack Nicklaus had nothing but great things to say about Baker-Finch.

“Ian has been great for the game of golf,” Nicklaus said, via CBS Sports. “He was a good player with a wonderful personality, and he has been a great addition to the CBS golf broadcasts. We wish him well and congratulations.”

Tiger Woods, meanwhile, went on social media to share his thoughts on Baker-Finch’s career.

“Congrats Finchy for 30 incredible years behind the microphone,” Woods wrote on social media. “You brought insight into things that the viewing audience could understand and relate to. From all of us – thanks for the memories.
