It’s set to be another drama-filled competition as the PGA TOUR returns to Greensboro with the final opportunity to qualify for the Playoffs for some and retain membership for others. Presenting itself as the curtain closer to the FedExCup regular season, the Wyndham Championship is hosting plenty of star talent who are looking to finish the regular season strong. Matt Fitzpatrick arrives at Sedgefield Country Club as the odds favorite, with Keegan Bradley and Ben Griffin trailing just behind. All three are looking to challenge returning champion Aaron Rai as he aims to be the first player to go back-to-back at the Wyndham since the 1950’s. Fan favorite Jordan Speith is back in action and too will be looking for an impressive finish to the season. Alongside these stars are other notable players such as Hideki Matsuyama, Max Homa, Tony Finau, Adam Scott, and Rickie Fowler.

Some early final round fireworks happening at the par three third just a bit ago. PGA Tour rookie Carl Phillips already a winner this season outside the top 70 bubble meets a special Sunday and that’ll help his first ever one on the PGA Tour. The first ace this week at Sedgefield Country Club. How about this start for Phillips? 341. He’s three under through three. Kiss some babies on the way in. And General McCarthy said, “Nope. Going to make you sweat a little bit.” Oh, did he do it? Oh, did he do it? He did do it. This guy’s outrageous. Nordell. Balls above his feet here at the second. He’s more of a cutter. Started on a good line. Oh, nearly jars it. How about those two shots? I told you it’s a little more accessible today than yesterday. Oh, we got to take another look at this because I know this ball took a look about going in one bounce. Oh, hello. Almost [Applause] freshman year. He was the first player to win all four major collegiate awards. Haskins Hogan, Mickelson, and Nicholas in the same season. And he starts with a birdie out of the gates. Jackson Kovven looking for his best ever finish on the PGA Tour. He’s now at 12 under with a share of third. Yeah, baby. All right, nice shot at the second for Cameron Young. Got a good chance for Birdie. Little bounce back there. Use the slope to fit it back down to the front. Oh, excellent putt. That’s the way to settle himself down. No problem there for birdie here at 13. This would get him to 13 under. Move him up that FedEx point list. started there. Check it at 81st. Moved him up five spots. That’s at 76. Cameron Young says, “Game on.” How about that response? All right, second shot for Hubard here at 11. Projected right there at 86 now. Oh. Oh, that’s a beauty. I prefer birdie hit a beautiful shot in here. Okay, it it caught it. Snuck it in that corner. That gets him to 14 under par. So, he’s got to be very careful with where he lands this over this green and to the right is no good. See to keep his feet there with those spikes. should feed to the hole. Oh, that’s so good right there. That is phenomenal. Absolutely phenomenal. That’s a good lesson at home. Just because you get relief doesn’t mean you have to take it. So, have to be for three in a row. Another look here. See those feet? They stay nice. This is anything other than flat. But it’s good. I’m losing count. Five in a row. Yeah, obviously 30 legs. This long stretch of land. It’s just the coolest photo ever. We watch Damon from 145. So he won by 30 lengths. Yep. I think it was 32. So, you remember the Kentucky Derby, was it a couple years ago? I thought it was the greatest race in the history where all three horses were separated by a nose. Well done, Joel Damon gets the double digits. Meer trying to break out of that tie for second. He needs it. Oh, yes. How’s this for a front nine? And well, the amateur Jackson Kven for birdie at the ninth. This guy is good. He is amazing. At 13 top of the hill, Joel Damon 5 yds behind this flag. Do not want to go long. Excuse me, just go in. That is a deuce. Saw one last year actually by Max Grazman on a Sunday on this very hole. 37 now is Joel. It is not. He’s got a wispy lie in the tree is not a factor. Gap wedge 129 somewhere on the green next to the hole. Wow. He has that putt for 30. You see that nestled down? It’s got flyer written all over it. Bows that left wrist down there. Make sure that that face doesn’t twist closed on him. Over at the 11th now, Mark Imman down with this group. Oh, FYI, you’re loving nippy spinny chip. Shout out on that. Beautiful ball back in the stance. Frank tells me he’s going to try to flight this low and skip it onto the plateau. [Music] Said he’s never been so fundamentally confident in his putter. Ah, that is so good. Unlike the opening hole where he didn’t get it up and down with Alex Norin 111 on the projections. Five under today is Oh, he’s going to come back here. Would be really good. Oh, what a shot. And that will tie him with Hubard at 15 under par. Just played brilliantly all week. Certainly looks like he belongs out here in a big way. Finishing up a great week with the birdie. That is his third straight top 11 finish on the PGA Tour. How good is that? This putt moves him into fifth. Tied for fifth. Final round 67 with his parents and a couple of Auburn Tiger teammates on to watch it and support him. In record fashion, Cameron Young wins the Windom Championship of 2025. His first victory on the PGA Tour after seven second place finishes. An old head on young shoulders indeed. What a win. Father, Dad, so proud. Where do I go? I’ve never done this before. Congratulations. Really proud of you. Well, there’s Mark Basel, wishing him all the best. But down there with him is Amanda. Amanda, take it away. Cameron, you have been knocking on the door so often. You just ripped it off its hinges. What does it feel like to officially be a PGA Tour winner? Yeah, it’s um I’ve been waiting for it for a while. Um yeah, I mean I I never thought I’d really be that emotional about it, but uh you know, it’s the end of my fourth season and I’ve had my chances never never quite like this and um I wasn’t going to let it get away from me today. This is an emotional place for you to get it done. Your dad has been walking with you every step of the way. You’re in the backyard of where you went to school. We’ve been hearing goes all around this place. How special and meaningful is it to get it done in North Carolina? Yeah, it’s great. My my dad’s here, which is which is really nice. Unfortunately, it’s one of, uh, a couple times my my whole family’s not here. Um, so I’m missing them. Uh, and looking forward to seeing them. They’re going to meet me in Memphis. So, um, yeah, I mean, a great great spot to do it. I think it’s a great test of golf and, uh, I proved that, you know, I can play really well around here. I did it last year and happy to give myself another chance this year and get it done. I know you also said you have a lot to prove to US RDER Cup captain Keegan Bradley. What did you prove today with your performance and having a considerable lead which is not always easy and never letting up? Yeah. Um, obviously that that goal is or that team is a goal of many of us and um I’ve tried to put that in the back of my mind is where I see myself in the middle of September after the season and um yeah, I mean I obviously would love the chance to play and I’ I’ve got some more opportunities to to really earn my way on the team, but um you know, if you have to look back at something I’ve done this season that’s a positive, I think winning by a few is is a good one by more than a few. Cameron, congratulations. You are forever now a PGA Tour champion. You have earned this one. Thanks for watching the PGA Tour on YouTube. To watch another video, click here.
