Welcome back guys to another video and a quick driver hack that will hopefully help you to save 3 shots on the golf course this year and lower your handicap.
By using these three tee heights you’ll be able to play a variety of different shots on the golf course and ensure you can hit the fairway no matter the situation.
There is a time to tee it low with driver and a time to really push for that extra 10-15 yards of distance, so be sure to use these driver tee heights at the right time.
Thanks for watching, Chris.
right welcome back to the channel you’re being spoiled today we’ve got another coaching video and this one is with the driver so you might have seen this in my studio if you follow me on Instagram but we’re going to talk about three shots that I try and arm all my players with to give them what I call insurance on the golf course okay insurance being a backup plan many amateurs just hit the driver if it doesn’t work they put it away and start hitting irons and they just tell me “I just can’t hit my driver.” And often you know I’m a half decent player i’m not great but I’m okay i hit my driver average at best a lot of the time sometimes terribly and I have to draw on insurance or a backup plan so if you look in front of me here I’ve got three T’s okay these are the three T heights that I would use with the same club depending on what shot I’m trying to play so the first one I’m going to try and play is I’m going to move this a little bit just go the other way is I’m going to play the fairway finder now the fairway finder is a shot that I use a lot of the time cuz I’m quite an anxious player and if I’m not feeling particularly great I will tee the ball low and I’ll try and squeeze it now when the ball is teed really really low it almost sends a signal to my brain that I don’t want to lean back which a lot of amateurs do to try and swing up on a driver and when I typically do that my body stalls out and I can lose the face i can hit blocks or I can hit hooks so when the ball is really low it makes me feel like I get onto it almost like an iron and I almost feel like I’m hitting down and left and ultimately you’re going to see a little bit more tend to see a little bit more of a fade it’s going to come out low it’s probably going to carry 20 or 30 yards less than your normal drive but it’s going to run a little bit more and it’s more likely to hit the fairway so let’s show you how I’d go about doing that so I te it this low i would always aim with this shot more left because it’s going to tend to fade a bit more so I pick it on holes if it was out of bounds down the left I may not use this shot but in this instance I can do it so I’m going to aim at the bunker on the left side i want to aim the club face square i’m going to play the ball because I’m aiming open I’m going to play the ball actually not too far forward in my stance if I did play it further forward in my stance then I’ve aimed left and I’m hitting it later in the arc that’s too many left elements i’m either going to pull it or slice it so I’m going to aim considerably left club face where I want the ball to start set my feet slightly open to that so they feel slightly more left but the ball just certainly does not feel too far forward it almost feels kind of just forward and middle the key for me on this shot is I’m trying to feel like I’m hitting down and onto that drive let’s give it a go and you should see if we get the tracer on it we’re going to see a little low a little low cut oh that is so good why do I not do that more often low fade straight down the middle absolutely smoked my attack angle might be two or three down on that one my swing direction will certainly be to the left and I’m going to see a little spinny fade but it’s going to run forever second one this is my stock movement now for me personally my stock movement I like to hit a pull fade because I don’t like to see the ball move right to left too much so this is now more of a neutral tea height the ball is probably 1/3 above the above the ball uh above the club head crown i don’t tee it too high on this shot i’m going to play the ball I’m going to aim straight on this particular shot i’m certainly not going to aim left i’m going to aim very very straight i’m going to play the ball much further forward than where the other one was cuz I want to hit this one slightly up and slightly left and again if I move correctly that is enough to hit the little fade so we’ll go ahead and hit this one again this one I’m probably moving at like 80% where the one before I’m probably moving at 70% intensity so I’ll just move this one at sort of 80 odd percent intensity and try and hit a little pull fade that is unbelievable by the way I’ve not done that all day in the actual video that I’ve done but this that is a joke and then the third and final one which I do not use very often is the bomb now this is not my speed set swing that you’d see in my studio this is just the one where I want a few more yards out of it it might carry 10 yards further i might use it on a wide par five or a drive ball par four if the risk is worth the potential reward i don’t use this much i would say once every five rounds I will do this but I’m going to tee the ball much much higher okay so you can see the ball is pretty much all the way above the club head i’m going to play the ball a little bit further up in my stance i’m going to close my stance a little bit to offset the amount it’s up cuz remember the more up it is the more I’m going to swing to the left so I’m going to close my stance to the right a little bit so if you notice the pattern here with a low T1 I aim to the left then I am straight with this one I’m going to aim slightly to the right and that’s only with my body by the way on this my face is still going to stay the same i’m going to widen my right foot a little bit on this one all I’m going to simply do is turn a little bit deeper on my back swing and I’m actually going to try and jump out of the ground a little bit and what I do with that is I feel like I’m literally trying to jump and throw someone off my back in this direction let’s give it a go the ball’s going to travel more neutral still shouldn’t draw because I’m hitting it so late in the arc but he will go a little bit further little bit higher a little bit more intensity this is probably 90% wow that’s a smoke as well what is going on i’ve just hit three of the best drives of my day exactly what I what I said on the tin they’re the three choices i really rarely use the last one i almost certainly most of the time use the middle one if I don’t feel quite as good I use the first one hope it helps get you off the tea a little better and see you on the next one

Will this work if you already hit a low fade with a pink tee? Thanks.
I top my low tee shots. Don’t play it forward for sure if you low tee it.
Hi Chris this video really helped me, especially the 2 lower tee heights. Upped my fairway find from 50% to 90% still with good distance. But most importantly gave the confidence to hit my driver instead of my go to 5 wood on narrow fairways. Thanks always enjoy your approach in your videos. 😊
PS still can’t hit a draw with my driver despite confirmed 5% in to out swing🤔
Great tips mate. I knew this in theory already, but you explained it great with the different setup tweaks as well! Cheers😊 i have actually quit watching YT instructions lol, but this i can get with😎 Sub🤙
