Pretty pure track just outside of downtown Wilmington NC. Quick greens and a grass range. Thinking about pulling the trigger, what do you guys think? (M24)
If the course and practice area are nice do this immediately, that is a killer deal. If you end up doing this make sure you join some clubs and make friends with other members. You can make some great friends and connections this way.

Young professional membership looks good except the cart fee. I pay $750/year for a family cart pass. If I had to pay each time I bet it would run me $500/month

If it’s well managed and you can get tee times go for it. Some courses oversell and it becomes a log jam on weekends

What’s the tee time lottery system?

Tee time lottery? I would need to dig in on that a little bit more.

Here I am getting weekend tee times at Olde Fort 😭

No such thing as semi-private. If the public can play without a member, it’s public.

The pay for cart shit grinds my gears

Golf in America is so damn expensive.
Revelst0ke
Price is right but “semi private” concerns me. If you, a member, have access to the same pool of tee times as the public then you’re paying for nothing. You’ll never get on.
smash07865
can someone explain to me to paying for cart fees? I have been reluctant to join a club with a similar price range because of cart fees (plus food and beverage minimums). I’m already paying for the membership, what’s the justification for a cart not being included?
beharris624
Worked there for a few years, nice course. Definitely worth it if you can get in with some of the member run golf groups there. It is very very busy though so if you’re trying to get out as a solo and play in 2 hours it’s really not gonna work too well.

“Access to tee time lottery system” wonder if you’re just as likely as tenured members to get a tee time lol
RealLou_JustLou
You lost me at semi-private.

Bargain vs the courses here in Arizona

Creed fan … don’t see many out of the closet like this.

Big NO. Throw away 5K and for what? Competing tee times with public (?) and @ $259/mo + cart fee. Gotta play a lot of golf to make that worthwhile. And to call it Semi Private is laughable. WTF does that even mean?

Golf in the USA is so expensive. My local course is £100 a month. As are most in my area. They are all fantastic courses as well. That’s fully private with about 400ish members.
Bartsimho
For reference membership fees at a Top 100 in England “Private” heathland course (This is private members for England so you’d call it Semi-Private in the US).
I love these clubs that have one rate for “young professionals” and another, higher, rate for everyone else. As a “young” professional who is 39, I ain’t suddenly gonna have more money in a year or two when I would roll over into the higher category. In fact, with family and everything, I’ll probably have less money.
My local courses all have the same categories, most are 35 year old caps. I passed that age and now don’t have a membership anywhere because they would rather have 0 dollars then have me paying the reduced rate I had already been paying for years.

This is a good deal but I love to play different courses all the time. I am part of a men’s league twilight but other than that I rotate about 8 courses a month with the guys.

I feel attacked by the fact the older I get, the more expensive it gets

That’s not a bad deal
Do I also have to listen to Creed to play?
