It’s set to be another drama-filled competition as the PGA TOUR returns to Greensboro with the final opportunity to qualify for the Playoffs for some and retain membership for others. Presenting itself as the curtain closer to the FedExCup regular season, the Wyndham Championship is hosting plenty of star talent who are looking to finish the regular season strong. Matt Fitzpatrick arrives at Sedgefield Country Club as the odds favorite, with Keegan Bradley and Ben Griffin trailing just behind. All three are looking to challenge returning champion Aaron Rai as he aims to be the first player to go back-to-back at the Wyndham since the 1950’s. Fan favorite Jordan Speith is back in action and too will be looking for an impressive finish to the season. Alongside these stars are other notable players such as Hideki Matsuyama, Max Homa, Tony Finau, Adam Scott, and Rickie Fowler.

misjudging the spin. Bradley now this his third at one. Going high with it. Trying to get it to work off of that slope. This is beautiful. Here come go in. Wow. The captain the one showing off today. Nice T-shot here. Beautiful. Look at this. his approach at the second. Just 157 yards to a tucked right hole location. Trying to use the slope there to his advantage. Beautiful shot here for Hideki. And getting better by the edge here. Hideki will have that for his first birdie of the day. Ryan Gerard will just chip this one onto the ninth green. Oh, there you go. The little lost art of the straighterfaced chip. About Scotty Kennan out of the bunker at 15. Irritates you when you fix a pitch mark right beside the hole, but you’ve got a 10-footer. Aaron Ry got a 40-footer here at the seven. Oh, making bombs on this hole. Scotty made one just a minute ago from across the green. Now Aaron Ry slides in only one behind Cameron Young. Absolutely. But when it doesn’t work out, we got to we got to call him out on it, I guess, right? That is our job. Here’s Ricky Fallow with a dart at number three. Look at that. Wow. He wants that start in Memphis. Let’s see if can get one back towards this hole. Look, that’s a great spot. Great shot there underneath the hole. Finally, we got people on the server. Nico Echaria just inside 12 ft for birdie. No problem for Nico. And that gets him one under par. Entering play 101st in the FedEx standings. Getting off to a hot start. The best round out of the morning wave. And what a way to cap it off. His final hole. Sticks it. Outright lead here. An opening round 61 for Joel Damon. Nine underpar. How about that? Choking down on that grip just a little bit. This would be a great reset from Matt. If he can stick something in close here. Oh, he does. Very nicely played by Fitzpatrick as Peter Malady at number 12. Oh, come on. Oh, that’s a bonus. That was a big time bonus. Not very good. It’s been inconsistent. Key shot of Sunjm headed toward the flag at the third. Well, that’s just what he does. The screen protected by a moat. Plays a club in a bit downhill. That is excellent. Nice shot there by Small getting better and better. Matsyama rounding out this trio. Also a five. Boy, this is really good looking right here. It held his follow through. That normally means it’s right at it. thing of beauty from one of the best iron players in the game, Matsyama. Just have to adjust for the slight uphill here. Add a little bit more. Oh, that’ll play in there tight. Back right hole location of this par three. M that’ll play. Good way to kind of feel the sequence. Oh, one of the better shots from Tane Lee, which will make the right pins a little bit more accessible. Remember, he has great memories on this hole. He made a hole in one to get his card. I’m going to do something different. Check the bounce on my wedge or my my action or something. Fits Patrick. Good for pace and line. I mean, these guys are fighting it. And Matty Fitz just steps up and that’s a five yard on the way. And they got a back stop. It’ll come right off that back hill back there. It’s trying and this is going to be really good. Some course knowledge by Matsyama. Yep. And that one green he missed too. That’s cuz he went out of bounds on the previous all on the 14th. Nikolai Hoygard entered the week 71st in the FedEx standings. Already four over on the round. A miscut. His season is over. Wouldn’t advance to the playoffs. Second shot. Yeah, he’s four over though. George really struggling. Lance short of the green tracking. Oh, come on. [Applause] Huygard hooping it for Eagle. What a turn of events. Gets the hug from the caddy. He’s now a two over par. Gets two back there with one swing of the club. Up one. Rasmus Huygar. The brother for Birdie. Doing a lot better. They were the first twins to play at the Masters this year. Another record, but he wasn’t done yet. Uphill P. George, I tell you, his comeback from injury has been good. Look how much break he is playing here. This one is going to come in sideways. Another roll. Another roll. How good is that? Novak on the money. Birdie’s on 10 and 12. He’s at two under now. Check it out with our tracing technology presented by Titalist. The number one ball in golf. Well, tracing technology says that was all over it. Beautiful golf swing by Cameron. Third shot here at 15th for Hubard. 173. Got to make birdie here. The three Eagles already today. 4.593. Here’s the par five. One of the two. And that will get better and better. There’s a lot of ways to make birdie. Norard at 100. Sweet looking. That’s the right distance. Say that again. Thorgard stones it. Go from the Tarhill to the Duke Blue Devil. Smallley on 18. Toss this one up nice and high to get it to land soft. Just like that. No, but he’s primed now. First cut. That’s a pitching wedge on the way. Hello. Oh, he paid it off beautifully. Thanks for watching the PJ tour on YouTube. To watch another video, click here.
