Klipper Golf course, Kaneohe, HI. It’s a military course, so that’s obviously why it’s cheaper. But still a great bang for your buck, best I’ve ever personally played.

Would love to hear other people sharing some hidden gems/great deals for courses they love.

I really need to play a nice ocean course.

  2. Jokes on you i paid 650 to play an ocean course

  3. Align_Ball_Marker

Surely you missed a zero or two right? RIGHT!?!?!?

  4. Internal-Fruit-1482

In 20 years the USAF has taken 15 strokes off my game. Lol. I almost always play on base these days. Nice course.

  5. jklein1114

I’m not familiar with military courses. Are they open to the public or do you have to be on active duty to play?

  6. Informal_Cream_9060

I’m glad it’s cheap because I’d send $650 worth of balls in to that water easy.

  7. MonsterManitou

Love this course! Miss slicing balls into the surf.

  8. TiCKLE-

20$ for the round, 40$ for the balls going in the ocean so 60$ total still not bad

  9. Yeah, don’t think anyone is beating that

  10. Miserable-Way-4769

I played there a few years back and it’s amazing!

  11. scratchwanabe

Are there people on the beach for me to yell fore to?

  12. stanlejm

Recently had orders for HI, swapped them up to Guam recently. I must say I was disappointed to not be going to play this course

  13. International-Rip68

Just signed up for the PPP! can’t wait to play

  14. ThreadKingM

I played it in November. Course is fine overall but those few holes along the ocean are sublime and by themselves worth more than $20.

  15. Mediocre-Sandwich-42

Sea and air on NASNI is pretty decent with 3 or 4 holes on the beach if you’re ever in San Diego. Was like $25 for E-5 last time I played

  16. Gobbaghoulie

I pay $37 riding NINE to play a walk on shit hole course because where I live every course is crowded fml.

  17. Jimidasquid

Kahuku has a 9-hole links course. Same 20 bucks no carts. Most casual course ever. Mind the beach goers crossing the fairways.

  18. Boomtown75792

Couldn’t agree more, I’m playing there on monday!

  19. LNDR_in_space

Lake balls? Please! We are talking ocean-grade now.

  20. WillingParticular659

played here 15 years ago, glad to see it’s still beautiful.

    RIP Ko’olau

The pebble beach of Hawaii. That stretch of holes along the water were gorgeous.

  22. IslayHaveAnother

Played here about 17 years ago, my first deployment. I couldn’t believe how awesome it was and glad to see it still is!

  23. dcidino

Taxpayer dollars at work to subsidise OPs golf. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I was stationed at Pendleton 18-20 years ago which also has a great course. Doesn’t look like much of anything around it. In a valley with a ton of huge trees. Back then it was around $20 (for lower enlisted). Crazy that the Hawaii military course is at that rate. Way better than Miramar which imo is boring.

  25. Leading-Score9547

They allow foreign military members to play there? 👀

  26. JeebusChristBalls

I saw this tee box and knew exactly what course this was. Loved playing there. Made the longest putt I’ve ever made at this course.

  27. Adept-Ranger8219

I play there every time I visit. Shout out uncle Hugo! I’ll be back soon. Play there then lunch at He’eia pier if I’m extra lucky.

  28. SIGFAN4LYF

thats what the golf course on guam looked like the last time i was there

  29. karmais4suckers

I’ve sent many a golf balls onto that beach. I was lucky enough to be at the golf course every other week for a while (I still suck) but the beauty made up for the lack of good lol

  30. Redneckinvest

Played there a couple of years ago. Top notch 👌

  31. mdenmark5

Incredible course. One of the best in the DOD

  32. berlenba

Mamala bay on Hickam is amazing for the price as well not know for a historic #15 on the water like Kbay Klipper, but beautiful holes by the water and the F22s taking off unrestricted doesn’t hurt the experience either. Mamala is in better condition for sure, but Klipper is a classic as well. Last time I played there I striped a drive and pushed it to a formation of marines running PT. Got a friendly wave so I assume that’s happened to them before on that hole lol

  33. golfingsince83

Yea that’s beautiful right there. Great day on the course no matter how you play

  34. MuscleFlex_Bear

Played here when my buddy was stationed there. Good stuff.

  35. bigvenusaurguy

How does it go with military golf anyhow? Can you still smuggle in beer and pot or are you going to get sent to guantanamo?

  36. Humble_Performer_790

I love Klipper. Don’t forget to look for balls in the bushes on the left of the next tee box. Or maybe its the one after. We used to grab like 20 before quitting. Its the one that is elevated, hitting down

  37. airforcemike23

Played that course many times and absolutely love that hole.

  38. Part_Timer10

I love Klipper, definitely my favorite military course on the island. I just wish it was as well taken care of as Navy-Marine

  39. OrangeConeDiety

I know klipper 13, 14, and 15 when I see em. Played that course so many times when I was stationed on Oahu. Gorgeous

  40. DonkeyHoney

Is it hard to get a tee time? Here for a few more days and wondering if there’s any chance

  41. That signature hole is embroidered on some caps in the pro shop, i indulged in a souvenir.
    Klipper is amazing

  42. LigmaUpDog_

I didn’t know what I had when I was stationed there man.

Me and the boys used to get absolutely obliterated and walk from the barracks to this course to play a round. So cheap if you’re military.

Probably lost $200 worth of balls in the ocean off this hole but it was great
