you just can’t help but think he’s played well enough to you know get close to that spot on his own Ryder Cup team [Applause] if you like guys that drive it long and straight today this is the group you need to be out there following [Music] okay and like you said almost about the same distance as this putt i always thought a long putt on the very first hole was tough you’re not in like the rhythm of the round yet so to trust the speed well was difficult for me not when you’re a player and you’re paired with Rory and you’re in Harford you know you’re going to get a lot of distractions at Gallery just live with it but you know what there’s a lot of people pulling for Keegan he got a very loud evation at the T no question oh whoa whoa whoa hit a car pass [Music] [Applause] [Music] still that ball rolled all the way down through the bottom and it’s on the down slope that that could be the reason why he’s using putter here i mean you know you played as much golf as Keegan it goes with first instinct you take your first look at it you go you know it feels like putter then [Music] saves Trying to turn this one over from right to left that’s just fine [Applause] ball above your feet to a back left pin you couldn’t ask for much better going left except that he pulled it very clever back at three Keegan that was just a thick lie like hitting out of old oatmeal when that lie sits nice and heavy but it’s a big swing to hit it a short distance nice [Applause] keegan’s got to feel like Elvis Presley out here i mean the whole gallery’s going nuts for him tracing technology is provided by Trackman right out there perfect about 25 yards behind Rory and in the fairway there it is good job come up short a couple times today but right there good call on his part both times and back at the fourth Keegan for his par no problem that’s a little too long for my sixiron he’s exactly right about that there’s Keegan [Music] rory 5% which is 3 ft it’s excellent that’s a lot of math solid good solid stroke right there [Music] [Applause] oh boy some heavy stuff over there on the right yeah he’s been late through impact so honestly this has to be very precise sit down right in front [Music] how good is this how good is this wow almost a jump start to the round here it is catching a little air jumped up as soon as he hit it that’s right i like him right there exactly oh he was calling it too let me put that egan ain’t right trying to draw it with the 3-wood and is it to come back some it’s not drawing is it nope tracer technology is provided by Trackman and indeed one left one right here at seven goes and does exactly what he thinks he’s going to do we try to make him look good sometimes let’s see it’s a dance we do here you hit it right on Q he’s going right at it that a boy see how he did that and Rory has got a awkward lie in the fest his first birdie of the day right there he had parred the first five holes so one under we go to the very next hole and now we got a little thing going here made it to seventh and we got two in a row are the Long Island fans going to forgive are they going to embrace Keegan even though he’s a Red Sox fan absolutely i mean they don’t care [Applause] that was excellent out of Keegan Bradley here he is at the very next hole after a beautiful iron shot right in the center of the cup this is a perfect line for this club right there let’s go let’s go good [Applause] battled that for about a year the wrong diagnosis they got it right and clearly good things are happening [Applause] sit down ball a little frisky with that one and there’s going to be some work coming back for Keegan to remain three under there’s a nice comebacker here at nine to that good visual and it’s nicely done [Applause] just played a golf course with very few trees on it and the big mistake here would be long so expect this to come up just a step or two short of the flag stick oh my that sounded heavy and way right see there’s no divot there there’s no digging a guy gets that type of lie he’s thinking about holding it and that really makes a difference even that they’re it’s cut down short everywhere so he’s earned his pars on the last couple of holes after three straight birdies at 6 seven and eight and Keegan Bradley remains three under par keeping that momentum going heading to the par three 11 different colors now Keegan 159 downhill 14 paces so essentially a 145 shot and that was dialed in nice oie free three under four back for Keegan keegan first going with driver hanging right a little bit i don’t know if he can carry the bunkers but even if he does he’s not going to make fairway so we’re going to follow up on that here in a second we’ll watch Bradley at this at the 12th you were telling us you’ve lived that life we just mentioned there’s still tea times left up the hill left to right i mean I knew it was short but this is a lot more work for a Oh gosh for a two putt i was about to say first bogey today yes it is out of either one of these guys well a little bit more challenging T- shot for Bradley he’s overcooked it this one’s heading left of the bunkers it’s in one of the bunkers and that’s a scary T- shot as a guy who draws the ball guys this is just such a bad break it it rolled right up against the face if he can move this 100 yards that would be something guys saying that too [Music] oh he got it to the fairway at least as well robert Damron and Adam Sheffer on the ground following this group guys we get the strongest win we’ve had all day by quite a bit that is so good though by Keegan not messing around with long but still aggressive nailed it Robert little pep in the step too keegan Bradley a bounce back birdie [Applause] got a little boot scoop boogie as well we’re not feeling it as much as I would like to right here but it is certainly up there i could blow on your if you like that wouldn’t help we’ve got two on the dance floor here at the 14 with his distance we’ll see what they do on this hole with their birdie pots this is Keegan’s birdie putt over at 14 just made a long one at 13 to cash that not quite enough back up the hill a little bit tiny bit right to left time to get back on the horse do the double bounce back keeps him at three under par same thing same thing exact thing we’re both within a yard of landing on the front high perfect te shots unfortunate [Music] lovely formality for Bradley no trouble they made that look pretty easy because you [Applause] I’d say he figured it out a Bradley beauty has hit a gorgeous T- shot easing off that’s why we try to avoid the high spots and stay in the low spots keep our job a little simpler walking around tremendous variations in the terrain [Applause] ideal yeah shortcut that’s perfect [Music] get down get down get down would love to top Rory obviously a foot or two of end of the green fringe it hobbled through 10 straight on it just hopped early and then you know back into the win let’s make the par official bradley at 17 [Applause] [Music] tracing technology here provided by Trackman it traced a beauty yeah that was perfectly done little draw center of the fairway this should have a great opportunity to birdie his last to get to 600 bar oh he’s driving the ball a lot better even though that’s a nice birdie by Keegan Bradley who matches the 600 par 64 of Rory Mroy that’ll be a fun group to watch the rest of the way lots of fans will be following this pairing today heaggan Bradley just underway 42 line it’s the first fairway but a good angle into this whole location getting a very very nice shot here left side fairway is much easier than the Bradley for birdie really nice shot rough course that left and bit of a misread there we saw a short little hole here you have left control your spin he’s just going to send this one a little too long there fortunately you can see a lot of that ball so it’s not a horrible lie but that’s a pretty big miss putts that can really give you a lot of momentum in your round if you can get these to go it gives you confidence with that club in your hand look at that step he’s feeling pretty good Mr usa here’s Keegan Bradley back here at the third [Applause] this is that quick putt that falls a little bit to the right as it slows down this one needs to slow down [Applause] just a little earlier after Rory missed his par putt keegan misses his this is third shot for Kee [Applause] stay stay on stay on keegan with a short and left of the left hand fairway bumper and here’s Couldn’t do anything with end of the day i’m sure that’s what they’re hoping for there’s a good look at the grip of Egan Bradley who also misses see that grip is put on there sideways keegan now at five guess it’s gone a little to the right everybody that’s tried to draw that ball into that and he was probably a little bit spooked after watching Rory’s go racing by [Applause] yeah good afternoon Kurt yeah and the wind is playing havoc these guys are really struggling off the start opportunity here for him at six playing with Rory Mroy really difficult to get good contact here and elevate it we got a nice kick there kind of a forward bounce very well done keegan and Mroy playing together had fantastic days on the greens yesterday mroy was good up and down there for Bradley mroy was the best putter in the field yesterday keegan Bradley was second best they really fed off each other here in Cromwell Connecticut now Keegan on the tea trying to buffet that crosswind boy I’ll tell you what that wind is blowing so hard left to right and kind of into the players here that got up and didn’t have a prayer i think he can put it on the green at Nest oh he skips over that bunker and rolls through the green windy day go pretty quick now bradley third and seven yeah really fast coming down this hill and that’s going to have to sit up and over that rise these conditions totally different Steve it’s two shots harder than what it was yesterday [Applause] where is Sheffy just reporting on some NFL stuff today come on man bogey bogey on this group so there’s been a 58 here from Furikert and a 59 from Cameron Young yeah when conditions are right they can take advantage of it this is Keegan Bradley on the way at the eighth that’s a sixiron there a lot of players right there we saw Sam Burns there a minute ago that water in front can come into play ah yes you can absolutely take it deep around here right here and I think this is a complete mind shift today with this win kurt downhiller here for Keegan had to respect that speed didn’t he yeah he did [Music] yeah with the prudent play steve just taking less than driver fairway medal of some kind just trying to find that fairway give himself a short [Applause] job well done for Keegan kegan Bradley second from the fairway just trying to knock something down here skip it up to that back hole location [Music] did not need that much more two on day one keegan Bradley now for birdie a New England cheer and a fist pump from the captain all day long aaron walking around it’s unreal it really is beth Paige will be jumping in September and Just got to be careful missing it right gives a little touch of chip see the flag top of it there in line with the TV tower in the background oh what a beauty this is really good what a beauty that is right there uh round uh I was a little surprised they love him here yeah another birdie here he’s used to doing that he shot 23 under here a couple years ago when he won that’s the tournament record down wow that was a pitching wedge and it didn’t look like he swung real hard at it either as far as difficulty I don’t think it’s as difficult as the lie makes it look yeah he just got too much ball yep came out a little bit hot right in the middle both players good putts to save Par keegan Bradley off that nice par save at 11 yeah downwind just going with lesson driver trying to look for position oh this one’s out to the right headed towards those bunkers yeah but a really clean lie here this is a pitching wedge it’s on and you get some of these short irons around here these guys are struggling off the tea and it’s downwind so you got to watch the speed a little bit he was careful with that one yeah it can kind of get away from you going that direction downwind and it kind of goes away from you at that hole just a tiny bit you plot your way in get a reachable par five next get a wedge in your hand hopefully at 14 15’s drivable Keegan off the tea at 13 after a 12minute wait this is left of the fairways is back colin Swatton oh you’re very kind Lisa this is just a pitch out nasty lie here for Bradley i thought he’d be doing it well to get over that crosswalk that car path and he has done just that nicely done down that line keegan down [Music] as we go to 13 and Keegan Bradley for birdie this 13th hole three players have made eagle here today but four players have also made double bogeies so yeah just the where this hole sits in this entire kind of run from 12 to 15 just tough to pick it up right now steve this looks like another good one yeah it is far down there too keegan with just a sandwich just trying to find some sort of commitment on this shot with that wind all over the place oh yeah you guessed right and Colin I know you can appreciate this as we watch Keegan Bradley with his birdie putt he is quite the analyst i mean he really dives into angles and you feel like you’re watching a golf e expert as Andre’s given us sort of those same lines and angles and numbers for a tennis player that I never realized before oh he’s quite an innovator who’s ahead of his time really great tennis player like you say in his own right and then very open in that book i have actually read that it’s a different shape man that close to being on the green as well yeah this isn’t as straightforward as it looks kind of come through that swale back up kind of landed it down in that slail maybe a little bit on the UPS slope there seen a number of players miss one this one to the right richard and another one bites the dust he’s tried to break and it just hangs out there on the right yes the wind has died a little bit from earlier today for sure oh looking for that ball to just break left a hair mentioned earlier in the show that Keegan putted great yesterday he was second in the field after round one in strokes game putting mroy was number one so they really played great come on Brad take the picture brad safely out to the right needs to turn and another one in that lower tier frank we’ve seen a lot of players at this position aaron come up a little bit short with this putt here comes another one wow both i I think I think you can you can be a natural green reader and I think you can learn to read them well he can dial that one up good two putt par you got to stand up and hit a golf shot here yeah captain [Music] here make sure you pay play past that flag just a little bit go come on win blew it oh what a shot oh man was that any good so for 6,800 yds this golf course almost early walked it got it to break at the last second there good putt good save their way all the way to the 18th a little bit of an early step Frank right there oh it got in for him to make birdies today see what Keegan can do heavy rough on the right hand side as well boy it starts on a good line tight [Music] and it ends on a good line terrific start to 18 for Keegan maroy will try to match that can’t go left of this flag so using Rory’s ball as a line this is a little left of it it’s going to catch that swale maybe look out that’s exactly what you were talking about when you illustrated that 18th green see if we can give this crowd something to cheer about [Applause] so a little errant with his second shot but he should get away with it he’s won this before Steve so they know he’s in the hunt the next two days this is a mini major to King and Bradley born and raised in Vermont played collegially in New York City at St john’s but huge difference this is a perfect lie coming off that down slope this is right at it back to the first and Keegan so Nick gets his three keegan back here at the second hole keegan Bradley this is his third from just off the green can he do it wow these guys might start feeding off each other well speaking of draw that’s what Keegan Bradley plays captain America long way to go at this par five champion here in 2023 this is his fifth major and that is some shot into the par five chance for eagle and we’ll have that to tie the lead keegan for an eagle it’s already been won today that was Adam Scott good effort adam Scott fired a round of 62 currently that’s the best being shot today conditions so much better than yesterday goal is to get off to a good start he’s three under for his first six let’s go to seven here’s Keegan Bradley moving to second alone 10 under par how nice was the roll on that look at that 30’s coming in bunches on the tea of the par three four under today one back 143 ball speed that’s pretty impressive there 218 yds you see left to right breeze [Applause] trilogy of 15 16 17 around the lake so much fun at the ninth here’s Bradley [Applause] settle down that’s a bad mistake hit it into that bunker at the elbow of the dog leg i got to be a little defensive from that point mistake made off the T [Applause] knee high rough nearly for Keegan Bradley rough nearly close to 5 in so just a little less than last week this is wonderful from that thick stuff settle settle [Applause] that’s Nick Taylor’s shot up close there great shot [Music] still a good four if he were to win here that’d be a be a problem rider cupwise i guess he would have to pick himself he’d be the first playing captain you referenced Arnold Palmer winning the first time states side yeah short par three here Frank 150 down the hill just a wedge that’s in the hole that’s in the hole right into that second cut collar as well not easy 12 it’s Keegan Brantley kicking at 13 well that’s better be long enough to carry that little piece of water he would add his heart in his mouth there Frank now 13 you notice this one’s in the fairway he’d actually hit it in the rough but there’s a sprinkler that’s clever enough to get relief so this still his second great look from the crane can he take advantage of the drop i think you can interesting par five triple 13 Keegan for Eagle [Music] look at it so fortunate with the drop he’ll move to 11 under trying to win this championship for the second about 300 yd off the tea is ideal here that’s where Keegan is firing down legend trying to draw that one in once again you do not want to miss left there so 14 and to the man that holds the tournament record here Keegan Bradley 257 a couple of years ago [Applause] pretty good we don’t want fade here though we won a draw over at 15 keegan Bradley the hometown kid this is the one he grew up coming to they love him around here getting USA chance on every single hole his dad’s actually playing Beth Paige today little little scouting scouting i love that all right well he comes up just short okay keegan Bradley from just off the green trevor he’s named four of his five vice captains i was lobbying pretty hard to be the fifth i’d pick you Colts well he didn’t agree but what a shot there he is going to be a factor tomorrow [Applause] this is where the triangle of holes are surround the water bradley now good looking shot oh and it doesn’t hold it’s not that big of a rise that he has to come up and over hill scrubs a lot of speed off it yeah good up and down from over the bat bit of a cushion though isn’t it 15 13 12 and Keegan Bradley perfect T- shot that’s the key to this hole try and bring it in just left without TV tower behind spin left back down the hill well played for Badley chance to get to 13 under okay Keegan to get one closer we’ve seen this put before slows down and breaks and he knows it needed to hit it firmer it’s a good round though six under par 18 and Keegan’s on the T 600 for the day [Applause] he’s going to need a straight bounce got it he can do something with this now to 18 isn’t that something chef two over jt three over here’s Bradley into the home hole fall behind needs something good better than good he won it two years ago he walked off this green with tears in his eyes this is the breeze that caused them havoc on Friday let’s go out to the first end in that final group keegan Bradley aaron Overberholzer is down there for us good afternoon that was an excellent shot from Keegan from a very thick line in that left rough handled it nicely this is New England’s major and he is a New Englander that’s got to hustle only one player has play puted better than Keegan this week second in strokes going [Music] good two pump you saw that little subtle fist pump from Keegan he knows how big of a deal that was that’s a great save getting away with it right center here is ideal if this turns over that’s where it’s going to end up yeah that should be perfect with the wind boy you can’t feel the wind on that tee at all Kurt but it’s moving pretty good from right to left boy that is ideal right there he’ll be He’s got in there wind’s wind’s cooking pretty good off the right hand side right now not quite as strong as Friday good look at that mound that they put in after last year stays up there’s a little fall off there this might end up off the green nope just does stop he says he won’t but what if the other players get involved very true boom if he does stuff like that great save for Par about a five-footer for Par the first and rolls it right in at the second [Applause] starting at the bunkers trying to let the breeze take it back well done by Keegan this gap wedge he’s leaning oh come on still a great shot yeah [Applause] [Music] they’re going to have to preserve that energy for the next hole perfect straight off [Applause] just absolutely pummeled that drive just 166 this is just an eight iron and I don’t think it’s a big one okay holding it overdid it just a little bit played that draw to try to hold it against the wind just overcooked it a hair has to be careful with the speed it runs away past the hole [Music] [Applause] good try tie ball game if Keegan can knock this in and he does boy things have changed in a hurry first hour of this final round and Bradley and Fleetwood are tied for the lead and then just kind of let it release up the green this is a four iron it’s the breeze to push it back that’s a good shot really good green that much uphill but looks like it’s going to move him right to left the whole way [Music] good two punt bar from Bradley remains at 14 under% [Music] [Applause] come on the tree 268 and it shouldn’t be a problem at all 268 to the front this one’s out to the right [Applause] trying to get some help with that breeze and his normal little draw but we’ll see back at the six Ken Bradley from the thick rough yeah not a great lie it was just so gnarled Frank where the gallery was standing he just there wasn’t much he could do there contactwise all three all three of these players died he had long distance looks at birdie up under that upper deck bite oh boy [Music] well that’s good oh yes needed that another six iron but not all of it in there now first of the three to eight well he saw how fast it was from Tommy also got a very good look at the line in I see that didn’t come back yeah only once it got by the hole did it make the move he might have got fooled there by a string of four consecutive bars here’s Bradley more aggressive play for him looking anxiously right it’s going to be down in that bunker there just 120 yards clears the tree easily but it’s got to go tumbles on to the front and proceeds sounded a little heavy to me that tree probably in the back of his mind yeah struck a little out of the toe too well he knew it he was calling for it to get up over that front bunker right from the start and congratulatory messages and appearances it’s tough to come in sharp he’s got it going today though but let’s see what Keegan can do final eight ft up on top of the hill what in the name of JJ Spawn is happening here 64 ft slam dunk side and then he gives them this here’s the first ridge here’s the second right in the middle of the flag and down [Applause] bringing as they said world class golf to this area of the country we’re at the 10th threewood but it is flared right to Bradley hit something very much so that’s sixiron just trying to artsy one down there left is not good no primary and down missile i think that was the problem right there the ball was below his feet but then you got the thick rough that wants to grab onto the huzzle and twist the face shut his Eli’s not very good he has no angle no green to work with not crazy to think he’d go out to the right it’s sort of smart really take your medicine just want to make sure that five is the worst score that you can make that’s fair i know there’s all the talk this year ryder Cup captain remember two years ago when he won here no issues all the little fidgety movements all part of his routine he’s done that since he came out until 2011 [Applause] i ran his all three good shots here for our final grouping three chances for birdie keegan Bradley Jason Day and Russell Henley two behind get in there and that looked good that would have been a nice bounce back for Keegan [Music] just a three for the PGA champion from 2011 rookie of the year that year of 25723 underpar Captain America quickly to the tea as well good come on now okay good trio right there tackle the 12th best angle of the three lob wedge not happy tugged it [Applause] we made those though we’re good position pushed back a little we’re back at 12 and Keegan tracking how did that not drop just carrying too much speed huts on nine and again on 12 oh I had caught a lot of the hole that was something fleetwood were jumping in there quick what can I learn from this one he’s walking after it helping Wend i don’t mind the play the beach oh you’re good despite laying up he still has just four iron in his hand come on good looking shape maybe a little adrenaline in the system little adrenaline little wind through the valley Frank no hesitation about this club past the hole though it gets very fast [Music] sounded like a mis hit bouncing he’s trying pretty hard to get down there all in all pretty good heck yeah got a lot more out of it than what he expected go back to 13 keegan to match no issues there it’s good up and down from over the back [Applause] fairway wood for Keegan still hasn’t hit a driver on this side right there straight kick no problems there so all three in a pretty good position although Russell Henley may be in a poor lie hold your catch a piece i’m a piece somehow oh that will be horrendous that’s bounced into the bunker and more likely it’ll be half plugged so he’s had to play safe to the right to keep it on the green i think that caught a little more of the huzzle if you put a little truth serum on him two back he’s got to go ahead and be aggressive and he’s paid the price here now yeah had had to go that way you see he’s aiming way right at the hole well that’s could be a two-shot swing upcoming doy yeah he got away with it at 10 maybe not so lucky this time that left for bogey for Keegan that’ll drop him back to 13 a poor sand wedge for Keegan there walks away with a bogey he gets that now everywhere though you know certainly intensified here everybody heading right fortunate that it was able to dribble into the bunker will test your nerves and your mechanics got to go such a tough shot wicked run it out you got a chance can you believe this amazing keegan has to control the adrenaline here enough oh it’s good really good woo let’s go now the home man Bradley [Applause] what a time to leave it short the door was wide open gap is only one though [Applause] in love with the line so one of the first players actually to read that much break into it most have under read it you’re exactly right frankie Keegan Bradley elevated T-shot breeze blowing through the trouble on the right what’s the prediction saying it’s green now all good that is perfect just got to hit it down there anywhere right of those bunkers around 270 floating a little like Rory Mroy earlier just got across tell you what pretty lucky that it bounced forward out of a thick rough he’s going to have to give this a good wrap to get it there up that ridge big right to left settle down good kick as is this one [Applause] all right Captain Kagan [Applause] should have enough to carry the right bunker oh yeah that’s what he had to do okay hoping and dreaming one day he would make his life out here considers this a major can he deliver one here at the final hole did he ever what a time to deliver a beauty a dart and win it with one pot
