Only three events are left in the LIV Golf League’s third full season, and there are a couple notable names in danger of being relegated.

There are three zones in the LIV Golf standings: Lock Zone, Open Zone and Relegation. The top 24 in the season-long standings will secure spots for next year, with final standings determined after LIV Golf Indianapolis. Those finishing Nos. 25-48 are in the Open Zone, which means these players can stay in the league, but their current team doesn’t have to re-sign them if they have an expiring contract.

Players finishing 49th or lower in the points standings after Indianapolis will be relegated from the league and can return only by playing their way back. They can do so by winning the International Series or through LIV Golf Promotions.

In 2023, LIV Golf had 48 players compete in each tournament, with players avoiding relegation by finishing 44th or higher. The 44th player that season was Laurie Canter with 12 points. In 2024, LIV added one team and two other wld card spots for 54 players per event. All players finishing 48th or higher were safe from relegation. Pat Perez finished at 48th with 7.76 total points.
