You Won’t Believe How Cheap VR Golf Is Now!

For this video, I need one of these and I need this game here. And I don’t need, but it’s really super cool if you have one of these. [Music] Now, this is the MetaQuest 3S. It’s a VR gaming console basically and I was very very surprised at how low cost they are relative to what I thought this sort of technology might cost. Now there is the MetaQuest 3 which is about $500 $500. This is the MetaQuest 3S which has the same processor and processing speed as the above one but it’s like £299 or £289 and it’s a completely whole new world of gaming. And actually, I think one day this sort of technology will simply be projected in a pair of these. But let me show you what I’m seeing. So now you can see what I’m seeing. I’m seeing a menu up in the open world. So one day this will be in a just a simple pair of sunglasses. But I can move this round. I can put that over there. I can put it over here. And it’s almost like I’ve got a big giant phone in front of my face. But anyway, the game that you need in here is golf plus. So we get golf plus. Create new boundary here. It just floats in midair. I can see you. You’re in that camera. Create boundary here. So this is me on the floor. There we go. And a cool little safety feature is if I come out of that area, I come back to the real world. And then the area that I want to go in is there. So I don’t walk into things. This is delightful. Look at the graphics on that. This is so realistic. It’s a joke. Right. So, uh, when I put this in here, so this goes in the end. Goes in the end there. there and then I tighten it up. This will give me a golf club. The only difficulty with using this is that when I want to select things on the screen, I have to bring this up here. But in my view, you can see that I can see the remote. Uh but if I come in here and just go into like practice, let’s practice driving. Let’s go for an easy target. Start practice. And then we’re on the driving range. way. I’ve got some targets to go for. Now, I feel like this is really, really realistic. When I move the club around, it moves around on the screen as well. So, I stand here and I want to go over there at that. So, this is a bit of like mechanics of the swing. I want that club to go through that ball and point at that target there. So, if I do just that, and I’ve missed. Got a bit more like that. Tap for new ball points. Oh, I didn’t quite get two. So, I need a little bit more distance to get that one at the back. Tap for new ball. Go on. Get both. Get all three. Is it going to reach? Oh, I’ve hit the top of it. Anyway, check your surroundings because you don’t want to have a pet running around with this thing in your hand. So, if I hit one without this, and I was playing Pebble Beach earlier, which was pretty cool. So, I’ll take this out. So, it’s got the club halfway up. So, I need to change the settings on here, which will be settings and controls. None. No controller. So, I take this away. Put that down there. Right. Cool. So, now this controller is on the grip. So, I’ve got similar sort of mechanism, similar sort of control. I don’t mind playing with this, but it’s a bit more one-handed and it’s a little bit harder to wield. Oh, didn’t mean to do that. Tap for nibble. But at least you’re not going to smash a lamp in your house. Beautiful. It’s pretty cool that it vibrates when you hit it. But yeah, club face control. If I come through the fa if I come through the ball open, if I come through the ball too closed, if I go through to the target, I can sort of encourage those sorts of movements. Get that through the target and it goes a bit straighter to where I’m aiming. but loads of really really cool features on there. Um, and I’m really quite enjoying it. There is like an online thing you can play, so you can literally play with another group. I played it for a while with just this controller and it’s good, but adding this into the equation where I’ve got a proper grip on it with an align on the back and then actually feeling like this end is weighted as well. So, actually feeling like I’m swinging something that’s a bit more proper. Uh it just just adds to the whole experience and short game and putting especially is so much better and easier here when you can open the face for a little chip shot. You open the face and get that thing popping up. It’s just a bit It’s actually quite realistic. But yeah, like do you have a MetaQuest, MetaQuest 3, anything like that?
