18 Holes of Garage Golf at TPC Summerlin

Okay, today we are playing TPC at Summerland. TPC summerland summerland irons only Garmin R10 home t hero playing the forward T’s 50% of greens greens and red at 50%. All right. Hole one. 302 4 iron. Off to a good start. Just down the right side. Fairway. Fairway. Okay. 83 to go. We’ll go 56 iron, 56 iron, 56°, 83 to go. Again, large circle is a two putt. Inner circle is a one putt. The Garmin R10 does not allow putting, but that’s okay. Oh, that’s way more than 86 yards. What are you thinking? Oh, okay. 19 to go. 0 for one on greens to start. 19 yards to go out of the rough. Give a little chip. Okay. Opening bogey. No green and red. That’s okay. 50% greener rigs. Hole two par 4 288. Total 197 to that spot. 99. So I’ll go I’ll go seven iron cuz that should put me at what? 88 yards to go after this roughly. I can try that same approach from last hole. Maybe hit a green. Let’s see. Okay. Oh, that just missed. Just missed. But I get to try that approach shot again. Okay. 56 degree wedge 82 yards but minus 10% power for the rough. So that’s plus 90 yard shot. I’m going to pretend like I know how to swing a 90 yard shot with this. Let’s find out. See if that was 90. Come on. Be 90. B90. That’s a green one for two. 50%. And that’s a par two. Let’s go. Hole three. Par five. Decision time. Zoom in. Do I have a 238 carry? No, I do not. No, I do not have a 238 carry with any of my irons. That ain’t me. I only use irons in my garage cuz it’s not a very high ceiling. That’s okay. It’s a fun little challenge to do that way as well. Okay, par five 390. Four iron in hand. Oh, let’s see if that makes it even 200. That felt fat. Yeah, not my best strike, but that’ll do. Move the chains. 208 to go. Let’s do a sixiron and let’s go for it. Let’s go for the green. Oh, what is that? It’s a 200 yard carry-ish for that bunker. Why not? I don’t have to play it out of the sand for real. Let’s take a gamble. Oh, that felt pretty good. Is a 200 yard carry good? I doubt it. Oh, okay. A green under regulation. I will take that. Seven days a week. Bury brings me to even. Wow. Okay. Okay. Hole four. Par four. Uh 340 straight away center field. I’ll go four iron again. I’ve been I’ve been liking this club lately. Here we go. Oh, that one felt good. That felt good. Little pushy, I guess. Okay. 104 in, but add 10% because of rough. So, it’s going to be playing like 116 in. I’ll go 52 degree. 52 degree sound. Spin to win. Okay. Okay. What’s that? Three for four. Three for four on greens and red. Par three. Short par three. That’s the tricky thing about Well, not tricky. The nice thing about playing the fronties is you got short your par threes are short. Even though I can only hit irons, the par threes are still really tight. But it’s good practice cuz I got to take all these partial swing shots with the wedges. So that’s good. It’s really good practice. Okay, 86 yards. Let’s pretend like I have this swing. Pretend like that was an 86 yard swing. Okay, let’s keep pretending. Five for six greens. That buys me a lot of misses. A lot a lot of misses. Okay, hole six par four. It’s like a little or probably would be a dog leg from the back te’s, but straight away 281. Let’s hit a seven iron. So hopefully get it to 200ish 195 and then have that 86 yard shot in again. Let’s keep working that. That’s been working good so far. Oh, that felt Yeah. Oh, that’s going to be okay, though. That’s going to be okay. Not my best with the seven. But hey, what am I saying? It’s another fairway. What am I saying? Why are we going to complain about that? 102 in out of the fairway. It’s pretty much going to be that first shot I took. See if I remember that swing again. 56°ree sand iron. No, short. Short 20 to go. See if I can put that in the inner circle to stay even. Wow. Low runner. Low runner. That’s through. That’s through. That’s okay. So, was that five for seven greens and rag? Something like that. Boogie brings me to one over four for six. Four for six. Greeds of rag. 244 to the green. Do I Do I try? Let’s try. I’m not. If I hit it good, I’ll be close. Let’s see what we can do here. Four iron. That felt good. That felt good. 200 carry 20. Okay, I will take that every single day of the week. I go lob lob wedge in 37 yards. No, we’re not going to read that one. Okay. I felt like that was maybe too hard anyway. So, thank you. That’s not going to be enough. That’s not going to be enough. Oh, okay. Oh, okay. The other one was definitely going over. So, I’ll take that. It’s another green and rag. Another par. Hole eight, par three, 150 yards. P wedge time. Pitching wedge 150 yards. That’s No, that was not That’s short. That is way short. Yeah. Was I going to count that as I mean technically technically it’s a green? Uh we won’t count it though. I was not in the right circle. Counts as a three putt. So I was on the green but outside the circle. Uh hole nine par five two over to this point. Uh very very happy with that. I’m right around that 50% greens. I think I’ve missed three on the front so far. Okay, four iron hand. That’s a stinger. That’s going to be low. Oh man, that came out. Okay, very very happy with that. 200 coming in. Um, I go sixiron or not 200, 206 coming in. This only has me aimed at 133. Oh, that’s why there bunkers in play. Well, what the heck? It’s par five. Let’s go for it. Let’s get up there. Oh, that felt about as good as I could hit this club. That felt super good. Get down. Yeah, I hit that too. Good. That’s all right. Chip it on. Get in that middle C, that tiny circle for a bird or the outer circle for a par and to to keep my uh greens and rag streak going or goal, I guess, intact. How is that? too much. But six for nine greens on the front nine. Will not be upset about that. Not be upset about that at all. Okay. Well, if you I mean made it this far, thank you. I’m just having fun in my garage. And if you like it, great. Thank you. Um, leave a comment, I guess. Tell me where you you if you want to see me play a certain course or try a certain challenge or a swing tip or tell me I’m ugly. I don’t know. Tell talk to me. Tell me something. Cuz right now I’m just in my garage talking to myself. So, it’ be nice to talk to someone. Uh, yeah, it be nice to talk to a human. That That sounds sad. I’m not sad. I’m a happy person. That just sounded sad. But here we go. Par four, four iron, bounce on the foot. Man, that is that is a good a good strike. I am I have not hit the four iron well in a while. I have been I have been working on it. Um, so that’s that’s it’s good to know that’s paying off. Okay. 48 yards plus 10%. So 52 yards. As if that makes a difference. As if that makes a difference. Okay. Right here. That might be too much. Oh, stay in there. Stay in there. Okay. Wait. That is another That’s another green in regulation, peeps. That is another green in regulation. I think that’s seven for 10. I I’ll I’ll practice editing and see if I can put a little counter on the bottom. Okay. 202 to the marker. Oh, 343 total. We’ll go aim for there. Go four iron again because this club just feels like a cheat code right now. Um, okay. Let’s try again. 343. Should if I hit this well, should put me about 110, 120 in. Oh, that was fat. That was not a good swing. That was not a good swing. That is I mean, it’s not a real bunker, so that’s okay. But Um, okay. 188 out of a bunker minus 20. So, that’s going to be plus 30. That’s going be playing like 210 or something. I don’t know. Playing a lot. Well, let’s hit that sixiron. Don’t actually hit hit out of the sand. But if I hit this like I did last time, this should be the distance. Oh, I hit it like I did last time. That was good. Get up there. Bounce close. Wow. Wow. Happy with that little chip on here. I mean, it doesn’t count as a green. So, now I think I’ve missed four, but I mean, I’m right there. So, 14 yards to get me home here. Take me home. Go in the hole. Oh, okay. Chip in for birdie. Doesn’t feel good as a real chip in, but virtual chip in still feel good. All right, hole 12 par4 200 w. Why am I playing scared of water? Water is up there. there. Let’s try five iron. Haven’t hit that yet, but I think that would put me at a nice distance coming in from there. So, five iron that that one didn’t feel super good. I felt a little fat, but hey, I guess it wasn’t that bad. 205 gives me 119 home. So I’ll go 52 degree and I don’t know. This is normally a 125 club. So if I can take six yards off of it, great. If not, it’s okay. Okay. Okay. took 12 yards off. But hey, I’m I’m in. That’s another green. Another par. Awesome. Okay, par five. Number 13. Par five. 463 from the front TE’s. Uh, what is it? Okay, I’m not taking the tiger line. That is crazy talk to there. I’ll take that line. Why not? One over through 12 holes. If I can keep the wheels on the wagon, this will be a personal best round. Okay. I just jinxed myself, didn’t I? All right. 463. Let’s hit this. Good. Well, that felt pretty good. That felt pretty good. Will I carry the bunker? No, I’m in the bunker. Okay, 279 to go. Long ways. Long ways in. Well, it’s telling me to hit I can just put it up there. I’ll just hit the 4 iron again. And that should minus 20% from the bumper. So, I’m I’m Yeah, this is good. Okay, that one fell. Okay. Little thin, but that’ll go. Yeah. Okay, good. Good. Okay, 126 in. Let’s go full 52. Swing it like I mean it. Let’s get another green and another par. Maybe even a bird if I put this in the small circle. But let’s not get greedy. Let’s make it to the green first. I don’t even know if that made it. Oh, it’s going to land in the circle, isn’t it? Oh, it just passed. Stay in. Yeah, it hit that thin, but that’s okay. Another par. Another green rig. This is good. Hole 14. Par three. 74 yards. 74 yards. 56 degree wedge. Let’s see if I got a 74 yard swing in me. Is that 74 yards? Oh no, that is way more than 74 yards. It’s 94 yards. 95. The saddest little I don’t know if you can hear what the iPad did, but made a little moan. All right. Uh 22 yards plus 20% power. All right, get in there. All right, little parade. Little P. Oh, come on. My uneven floor almost took me out. I was close. Hole 15 par four 250 to the green. So yeah, why not? It’s downhill. No, it’s uphill to the green, but why not? Why not go for the front? My trusty dusty 4 iron. Oh, that was thin and a little on the heel. That’s not going to get there. That is not going to get there. But still, I mean, good. Good enough. It’s up there. 51 plus 10% from the rough. So, playing more like 56. Talking like that matters. All right, here we go. Get it on. No, not enough juice. Not enough juice. That’s a missed green. That was not a good shot. Okay, 23 yards to go. Run it up there. Get in. No, it’s not going to get in. Boogie. Missed green. How many is it now? Five. Six. Miss. Six. greens. Okay, so what is this? Whole 16. So I can make my goal of 50% greens. Even if I miss all these, but let’s see if I can do better. Let’s see. See how many I can get. What was this? Par five, full 16, par five, 404. But again, I’m playing irons only. So four iron off the tea. If I hit it good, she hit me about 230 or so. That one felt pretty good. Okay, not bad. 210 200 to go. Now, here is the question with 188 to carry. No, let’s I mean 181 to carry. Let’s be smart. Let’s be smart. Let’s not blow up. This is a good round for me. Very, very good round for me. Be one of my best ever. So, let’s not be idiots. It’s very hard to do. Okay. Eight iron. Let’s hit it up there about 170 yards or so. Not with that swing. That’s probably more like 150 or 60 yards. But it’s dry or 140 yards. Yeah, that was not whatever. Hey, it was safe. That’s why I didn’t go for it over the water cuz the odds of me carrying it the distance I think I’m going to carry it low. Okay, 77 yards. I’ve hit this shot lots today. Sometimes on purpose, sometimes by accident. 77 yards from a fairway. Let’s get me home here. Come on. Stop. Stay. All right. That’s another green. That’s another green. And another par. Yes. This was a par five. Yes. So, hey, that’s a guaranteed meeting my goal. This is This is exciting. I might not look like it, but I’m I’m actually genuinely excited here. Okay, 97 yards, par three. Go with my 56 again. Felt like that felt like a good swing. That felt like a number. Sit. That’s a bird. That’s a bird. And another green and red. Awesome. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. So, what am I now? I’m I’m one over. A birdie here brings me to even. And that would be an amazing round of of simulator golf. That would be Wow. Uh, okay. Here we go. Par 4, 360, four iron in hand. Let’s hit this baby good. One more time. Oh, that’s about as good as I can hit this club. Yeah, that’s about as good as I can hit this club. What a swing. What a golf shot. 116 to go. 52°ree. Now, let’s go down a little bit. Let’s take off those couple yards and let’s get home. No. No. Okay. Well, the odds of me getting a birdie now are gone. Unless Well, I shouldn’t say that. I’ve chipped in once. If I chip this in, if I get two chipins in one round, that’d be awesome. And I missed the green. Okay, here we go. Chipping in for a bird to go even. Pull it. Stay in there. Okay. Saves far though. Wow. Okay. So one over one over 12 of 18 greens, seven of 14 fairways. Okay, with a 73 one over. What a round. Wow. I am very very happy with that. Um, thanks if you made it this far. I appreciate the time. I definitely don’t deserve it, but thank you. Uh again, leave a comment. I don’t know if you want me to try something, play a course, what I don’t know, something. But anyways, thank you. Uh goodbye.

Welcome to my Garage Golf Series!
In this episode, I’m teeing it up indoors using the Garmin R10 Launch Monitor to simulate a full round of golf—right from my garage. My goal for this round: hit 50% of greens in regulation. Think I can pull it off?

Watch as I test my game, analyze the data, and work toward becoming a more consistent ball striker—one swing at a time.
