What a lovely way to finish the day. Oh, run away. It’s all downhill from there. Just pitched on the little shoulder of the bunker trickles up whole side. What a beauty. Surely a two. So after a round of 70 yesterday, this is for a round today of 63. 63. It is amazing. Two late bogeies and yet still 63. One outside of the course record. His sixth approach with a utility club today. So I think he’s got a few of them in there. Charlie Wea 17. In you go. Timely birdie takes him into the group. Uh two under fairly bunch leaderboard. That’s just outside the got that for the five. Mark Hensby to take the lead on his own. Oh yes, we have a new leader. That’s a magnificent T- shot from Harrington. Absolutely. What a two following that three in the last he can be aggressive with this one. This is straight up a hill. Don Darren strong player on the European tour over the years from South Africa. This is where the T-shot of Hensby finished at night. It’s gone far enough to be a straightforward pitch onto the correct level and it’s quite delightful. Took full advantage of what was a good break there. It’s hidden hope. I’ll tell you what, he hit it well and he hoped very nicely. Wow. Very unlucky not to go in to be honest. down the slope. Oh, it’s got to be, isn’t it? Oh, how satisfying is that? Delightfully judged. Bury the feet. Avoid us any slippage. And he has not let us down on this occasion either. A beautiful three at the last. It’s been a long journey. It’s taking him to the 36 green. So they get so possession of the lead. A quick update of what’s been happening on the second day. Ernie else was out early. He just bed the 13th Bi Eagle the 14th and pair of 67s for else he’s 600 bar. Thomas Bjorn he was seven under through 11 and after this magical moment of 15 he was eight under for the round. Uh stay got me head in the game. You know, I did a lot of good stuff mentally. Short game was was sharp. Uh made my birdies on those holes that you you know a couple of what two put and one two putting nine two putting 11 crazy kind of three putting 15 but you know I I did a good job where I should make a score score and then I got in trouble in plenty of other holes but hit some recovery shots and uh managed my game but I never showed much confidence out there at all in in my in my swing at all. disappointing three par at 14 the par five but then you birdie the next hole is that evidence of the fight you were talking about when we chatted on course yeah you know I three crazy thing crazy but as I was teing off on seven I was nearly hit by an acorn coming out of the tree then on that par five a bug landed right down by my shoe as I took my backstroke and I completely like distracted and then on 17 h I it was actually a leaf I didn’t know what it was kind of came in in front of my ball and Lily topped it. So, I had a weird day in in many ways for those uh they didn’t obviously cost me obviously three put there was a bit disappointing. Uh but look, I made up for it with hold the good put in the last on sorry on that 15 straight away afterwards. It was a good fight back. Yeah, look, I got some good breaks. I hit it on the green on 16 out the header. That’s not to be expected. H same on 17. I hit a good shot from the threes. So, look, I wouldn’t want to play like that for the next Well, I’d like to score like that for the next two days, but h I wouldn’t think I’m going to get away with it. I hopefully will improve a little bit over the next two days. Three times that you played in this championship, second, second, fifth, now have an opportunity to win it again this weekend. Your thoughts on that opportunity? Yeah, look, I always feel good in these 72 hole ones and you know, the bigger golf courses suit me. That’s what I was I’m glad to see. There’s a little bit of moisture in this course. It is starting to firm up a bit as it gets a little shorter. Uh you know, that advantage will be uh taken away from me, but you know, I seem to be scoring okay, so maybe I’ll do it a different way this time. We wish you luck over the weekend.
