The stars of the LPGA tour will be coming to Mississauga this year for the first time ever to compete in a prominent tournament.
From August 20 to 24, the historic Mississaugua Golf and Country Club will host the 2025 CPKC Women’s Open.

This makes the Mississauga golf course among the eight clubs that have had the honour of hosting Golf Canada’s four premier events: CPKC Women’s Open, RBC Canadian Open, Canadian Women’s Amateur Championship, and Canadian Men’s Amateur Championship.
The CPKC Women’s Open will bring top athletes to the Mississaugua Golf and Country Club including multiple LPGA players ranked top 10 in the world: Lydia Ko (ranked 3rd), Jin Young Ko (ranked 10th), and beloved Canadian superstar Brooke Henderson, who has been named female athlete of the year for multiple years.

“Being selected as the host city of the prestigious 2025 CPKC Women’s Open is a huge honour and allows us another opportunity to highlight professional golf in the mix of exciting events we are bringing to our vibrant city this summer,” said Victoria Clarke, CEO of Visit Mississauga.
“We look forward to welcoming the world’s best female golfers and witnessing their incredible talent here in Mississauga, and to showcase the ‘cultural canvas’ that is our city on the world stage.”
The CPKC Women’s Open has been awarded the LPGA’s gold driver award for best community and charity engagement – and once again, the 2025 CPKC Women’s Open will be making a significant charitable contribution to pediatric cardiac care in the local community through its CPKC Has Heart campaign. In the past 10 years, over $23 million has now been raised to support children’s heart health in Canada.
Founded in 1973, this will be the 51st playing of Canada’s National Women’s Open Championship, and its third time returning to the GTA since 2001.
The championship traditionally features one of the strongest fields on the LPGA Tour, with competitors vying for a total cash prize of $2.6 million USD.
“Together, with our partners at CPKC and the LPGA Tour, we are very proud to bring the 2025 CPKC Women’s Open to the world-class city of Mississauga and the prestigious Mississaugua Golf and Country Club,” said Ryan Paul, CPKC Women’s Open Tournament Director.
“Mississaugua Golf and Country Club has been an incredible partner to Golf Canada, hosting countless Golf Canada Championships at both the professional and amateur level. We are excited to add our National Women’s Open to this impressive list in 2025.”
The upcoming tournament will be one of the city’s biggest attractions this summer, with visitors coming from all over the GTA to watch the action and cheer on their favourite players. Tickets are expected to go fast, so be sure to grab yours now and enjoy unparalleled front-row seating along the vast golf course.
The Mississaugua Golf and Country Club was founded in 1906, making it one of Mississauga’s most historic establishments and the second-oldest golf club in the city.
Located just north of the QEW and overlooking the Credit River, the spacious full-service club is one of Ontario’s top spots for 18-hole golf and a variety of social events.
Beyond golf, the private club also boasts a clay-court tennis facility, six-sheet curling rink, state of the art fitness centre, and on-site restaurants.
