now kwwl sports 15th annual zach johnson foundation classic elmrest country club in cedar rapids mark woodley has a wrap-up of this monumental event cooper deene has had quite the year the highlight of course was winning a super bowl ring just a few months ago you grow up watching that game on on tv um as as a kid you know with with all your friends um you know so to be able to play in it win it score a touchdown um was was a cool cool moment for me on tuesday the eagles defensive back was back in his home state on the golf course helping out new friend zack johnson at his foundation’s golf classic it’s awesome i love giving back um you know that’s always something that that i’ve i’ve taken a lot of pride in um is trying to trying to give back to the communities that i’m in that was the case for several other former hawkeyes as well like sacramento kings star keegan murray and fellow super bowl champ adrien clayborn who was keeping his expectations low try not to hit a fan on the course that’s my that’s my end goal the three hawks took to the course alongside pga stars like ricky fowler and matt cooer for an event that has raised millions to benefit students in the cedar rapids area they want to invest in these kids’ futures and and so do we as as a group as a board and so it’s been uh it’s been an awesome endeavor humbling endeavor but one i look forward to every year as does dean if not for just a little break from his now superstar lifestyle it’s good to be back in iowa you know it makes it get out of the big city a little bit um makes it feel feel a little more more normal in cedar rapids
