The most fun I have on Let’s Play through doing this show is testing clubs which give you all of the performance of the big names for half the price or sometimes even better. On today’s video, I think I’ve got a set of golf clubs that’s going to do that for us. This is the Tour Golf Combo set. It’s a muscle back as well as a cavity back that we are going to put through the paces out here at Carowwood Country Club testing distance, forgiveness, workability, aesthetics, and value. And at the end of this video, I will give you a score to let you know just how well these perform up against the big dogs out there. So, as I mentioned, this is a combo set. And just the other day, I was browsing Instagram, scrolling through, and I saw a stat from Titleist that really took me by surprise. They said that 80% of their tour players are playing a combo set. And that begs the question, if 80% of tour players are doing it, why aren’t us mere mortals? So, I’m really excited to get this combo set in hand here today. Let’s take a closer look. So, as you can see, the muscle backs on top. I’ve got the 9 iron and I’ve got the five iron there in the cavity back. Let’s take a look at the muscle back here, which is absolutely beautiful. I love the milling there. I love this stepped pattern. And it actually performs a function here with the golf clubs, centering the mass and the weight of the club behind the sweet spot of this. It’s right in here where you get all that weight. And uh that’s going to hopefully make it as forgiving as a blade can be. We will find out. Now, if you look at the sole of this club, beautiful profile here. You’ve got some leading edge relief which is going to help us get through the turf. It’s a nice thin sole as well. Wow. It’s stunning. It’s stunning. I’m almost at a loss for words. If I flip this over, you can see the top end of this. Now, it’s a little thicker than the thinnest of blades, but it’s certainly got that modern players look that we see so much in all the big names. And there’s a gentle amount of offset here to this iron as well. It’s just such a charming package in my opinion. So, I’ve got the muscle backs in this set from the pitching wedge down to the eight iron. And then from the seven down to the four iron, I’ve got this cavity back. Now, a huge point of emphasis for Torah Golf here, was to match the profile, especially the top end and the amount of offset in these clubs that they would blend seamlessly. And I’ve got to say, they did an exceptional job here. Looking down at these two, if you look at them side by side here on your screen, you can see you would not think you’ve got a combo set in hand. This 5iron is going to, of course, just have a little bit more perimeter weighting. It’s going to have more mass here down at the bottom, which is going to give you that lift you need to get it up in the air, which is a bit more of a struggle when it comes to especially the four and five irons in a set. It’s still got that leading edge relief here as well, although it’s not quite as pronounced here in the five iron. So, that looks to be kind of progressive throughout the set, but again, just a charming package. Now, I’ve got these irons paired with a Project X rifle. This is my favorite shaft out there. It’s the shaft that’s in my gamers right now. And this is also paired with a Tora Golf branded grip, which is very similar to a Lamkin Crossline. Should be pretty nice out there. I hope these will play as good as they look because again, it doesn’t get a whole lot better than this. All right, so let’s get out there and play some golf. Now, we’re going to play six holes. I’m going to go irons only. And my overunder today in very difficult conditions is going to be plus two. The greens out here are airrated. The rough is high. So, I’m going to give myself that little extra shot advantage today. Let’s get to work. All right, our first hole here today is going to be a par five. It’s actually my most hated hole out here. We’ve got 27 holes at Carolwood. This one does me dirty more often than not. To be honest, I do myself dirty. Regardless, I’m going to hopefully tackle it here with the Torah iron. So, from these tea boxes, we’re still about 500 yd away. It’s a big dog leg left. I’m going to take the four iron out. I’ve got my G80 here so we can measure the shot. We’re going to see how far we hit everything here today and give you some empirical data. That’s so important, I think, with these reviews is to not only guess where we hit shots, but to know exactly how far we hit shots and how well we hit these shots. Well, great start there. In fact, I might have blown past the fairway. Just to give you an idea of my contact there, the club head speed was 89. My ball speed was 125. The smash was 140. The estimated carry and roll there was 203, but we’re going to measure this one. So, that first strike, by the way, I hit it a little low. Still felt exceptional. the previous model. These cavity backs were some of the best clubs I ever tried last year. And I think these are going to be right up there. But I’ve got to hit one in the middle before I can tell you that. Taking a look at the ball here. We are 197 out. Pretty close there on the Garmin G80. And probably would have squeaked down a little bit more distance if I didn’t roll into the rough here. I kind of blew it past the dog leg. Like I said, what we’re going to do next is lay up into good position. I’m going to take out a sixiron and hopefully we’ll have a little wedge in. Now, the rough here today, it’s starting to grow up here at Carolwood. So, my ball’s sitting about halfway down. It’s not in a terrible spot, but the sole of these clubs being so nice and thin and having that little bit of relief there towards the leading edge, that is going to help us cut right through. Hopefully, let’s find out. Nice straight ball flight. Just a little butter cut on that shot. I was trying to hit a little bit of a fade there just to kind of follow the contour of this hole. That is something you’re going to get with these clubs, I think, to a very high degree is just control. Being able to control trajectory so important to a player. We’ll continue to test that. We’re probably going to get another chance right now to do that with hopefully a wedge in our hand. See how far we’ve got. All right. So, I see the 100 yard marker there right where I parked the cart. And we’ve only got 98 in. So, there are some serious pop here with these irons as well. I didn’t expect that honestly with this particular loft structure. It’s not really super pressed or anything like that. It’s a nice modern loft structure, but man, they’ve got some good pop to them. And uh it’s going to make this shot actually a little bit more difficult because I’m going to go with the pitching wedge. Trying to hit as many of these clubs as I can. And I’m going to have to take some off of this with a very shallow green. There is not much space between a bunker in front and what’s behind this green. But what I’m going to try to do is try to flight this shot down a little bit as we take some off. And hopefully we’ll get some really nice spin here to hopefully stop it, but very likely it’s going to be hard to hold this green from this distance with this club. Oh, just a beautiful feeling strike. I got the weight of the shot really well. So, we’re actually going to get an idea of stopping power. Now, I say idea because this is not the most ideal conditions for me to be testing golf clubs, but it’s what I’ve got. The greens are airrated pretty heavily. They’ve also got a little bit of top dressing on them. So, I know, believe me, I would love to be testing these in more perfect pure conditions. But I’ll also say this, if you’re watching this show, you’re not playing on the PGA Tour and you’re probably not getting perfect conditions all the time. So, this is real life. This is what we get. But let’s get an idea here of how that club stopped. Here is my pitch mark. All right. So, coming in pretty hot and low. And on these particular greens, we didn’t get a ton of check, but we still held the green. And that’s a big win. Like I said, very shallow green here. So, I’m really happy with that. I’ve got a birdie putt. It’s a tough one downhill and kind of snaking. And on these greens, anything can happen. Literally, I could five putt this. Not horrible. And I’m happy to finally par this hole. It’s been a long time where I could get out of here with a par. We’re heading to number two. Man, so far so good with these irons. those first three shots. All right, so a shorter par4 here. I’m used to playing the white TE’s. I got to walk up to the silver TE’s here. And it’s going to play about, let’s see, 339 to the center of the green from here. Again, I’m going to measure my shot so I get an idea of what I do with this four iron. And we’ll get the launch monitor feature up to see how good the strike is. Well, I missed the fairway there again. And again, it wasn’t a great swing and I hit that a little toe side. My club head speed was 87. The ball speed was 126. The smash was better there, 145. And the estimated carry and roll 207. We’ll see how far it went though. And here we are just off the fairway by about a yard. 190 was the number. Like I said, a little towy. I got much more draw than I wanted there. It was almost hooking. And that’s something you’ve got to consider. These clubs, even the cavity backs, once you get into the four, five irons, they’re going to be a little bit more difficult to hit. So, you’ve got to be a better ball striker to hit these. I think they’re a forgiving club, but there’s only so much to the forgiveness of these. 153 is the number. I think these clubs have enough pop that I can get there with a nine iron. I think I’m at least going to try that and we’ll get a good idea of how far we can hit them. I got a lot of that one. We’ll see if it’s enough. Yeah, that’s up on top for our second birdie putt. So, again, very impressive in terms of the distance I’m getting out of these for this being a muscle back club there. And I got to say, now that I’ve hit a couple, I’ve hit that pitching wedge and now this nine iron in the muscle back, this is an exceptional feeling club. And I don’t state this lightly. I really don’t. But I’ve tried on this show hundreds of sets of irons at this point. And I’ve swung thousands of clubs. I think these are the best feeling clubs I’ve ever tried. And I’m talking about the Muras of the world, the Mazunos, even the Shrixons, which I absolutely loved this year. This Torah golf iron is the best feeling one I have ever put in my hands without a doubt. I felt it on the range and now I’m feeling it out here on course. It is exceptional. I’ve got another birdie putt here and this one’s shorter. This one is going to be like 12 ft. This green is brutally bad. Honestly, I’m surprised we’re even playing on them today. The good news is the greens are going to get a lot better on our next hole cuz we’re actually moving to a different side of this course that’s in better shape. I knew right when I hit it, I just did not hit it. But I’ll take the tap in par. And let’s get ourselves on some decent greens. All right, four iron again. Here’s the play. I think on this dog leg left about the same distance as the last hole. It’s about 330ish or so like that from these particular TE’s. I am going to hit more of a cut shot here again because there’s water on the left that I want to make sure I avoid. If I hit a cut, I know I’ll avoid it. Just the slightest slightest of cuts there, but that was really well hit. That was struck in the middle of the club face. So, I’m interested to see how far this one flew. All right. Well, 2011 is the number here. Again, I’m in the rough just by about a yard. They’ve mowed the rough back in. I thought I was on a perfect line. Either way, we’re in a perfect position. 136 is the number, and I’m sure I can get there with a pitching wedge after hitting that 9 iron like that. Now, the nice thing that we mentioned up front that I’m seeing out here on the course is that the top line and looks of these clubs are exactly the same here in the combo set. So, I’m hitting this muscle back here with the pitching wedge. It looks seamless with that 4 iron I just hit. And that is really nice when you’re talking about a combo set. See, pretty good swing on this one. That one was much deeper in the rough. And it kind of came out a little squirly. I hit the green, but we got absolutely no spin on that from that particular lie. It was so buried and I actually went off of the wall. So, I’ll be chipping up, but I’m not unhappy with that shot in any way. Just again, we’re we’re battling conditions out here. So, I actually hit up in there on the green, but like I said, it traveled over this wall. This is a difficult shot, but it’s doable. We got enough room between us and the wall. All right. So, challenging par putt here. The green is a little better. It’s not much, but it’s a little better. Just need to hit him harder out here. All right, so that’s our first bogey. We’re one over, but a lot of golf to play here. We’re heading to a par five next. All right. So, on this par five, I’m actually going to take out the five iron because I I really want to test every club in this combo set. And I don’t think there’s another hole where we’ll really get that opportunity. So, we’ll take it off the tee here and maybe we’ll hit a fairway, which we haven’t done on the first three shots, but again, that was more the swinger and uh also more the pop of these clubs when we burn that second fairway. That one is right down the middle. Tight little draw to it. And I again caught that on the thinner side. So, I’m really happy with how these clubs perform on low contact. And it goes to the construction of these, really centering that weight behind the sweet spot. But pretty much anywhere you hit the golf club, these feel exceptional cuz I’ve hit some off the toe out on the range. I think I hit one the last hole off the toe as well. And no matter where you hit, there’s a very good feeling to them. But you certainly know for sure when you hit in the sweet spot, which I hope I will get a few more opportunities to experience here on course today because they are just so so sweet. And in terms of distance there, 195 is the number here with the 5iron. So again, for the loft structure of these clubs where you’ve got a 7 iron that sits at 34°, these things have all all the pop you could want. And I’ve got 248 into this hole. And what I’m going to do here is I’m going to hit an eight iron to again get us into like full shot distance here for our third shot. Beautiful. On a not perfect swing. Again, slightly toe side there. So, doesn’t seem like you give up a ton of distance even on that offc center contact. I’d say you’re probably going to lose maybe 3 to 5 yards, but not much more than that. And I went a little further than I would have hoped. And I’ve got 100 yards on the button here, which will take that pitching wedge down again and hit that same type of shot we hit. Keep it low. Flight it in there. Hopefully just like that. God, that felt great. Check. All right, birdie putt incoming. It might be on the back fringe there, but it’s that pin was pretty far back, it looks like. Exceptional feel. I could just continue to shout the praises of this one. You’ve got to try it. I don’t know if they offer just single clubs at Tora Golf, but if you can just maybe ask them for a seven or eight iron to test. You just got to feel what a Japanese forged carbon iron can be. This is the pinnacle of golf. It’s the Ferrari, the Porsche, the McLaren, the Lamborghini, whatever your favorite supercar is. This is what you can actually experience with these irons. So, do yourself a favor and see if you can get your hands on one. Even if it’s not the whole set, you got to just try it once in your life. I did say on the green there that gives us about an 18footer here for our birdie putt. We’re getting a lot of birdie opportunities. They’re bound to go in. Oh, thought I had it. Thought I had it. All right, par three. We got the par three and then we have our hardest hole in the par4 to end it. But this would be a really nice chance to hopefully get that stroke back and put us in good shape here for our overunder. We got 126. So, I’m going to hit pitching wedge. We’ll see if I can hit 126. Oh my gosh. Just a terrible swing plane on that strike. I don’t know what happened. Well, here you can see about as bad as a shot could be and it’s still not horrible. I’m uh maybe 10 yards short in terms of distance. In terms of direction, I’m probably the same. So, forgiving enough, but you do have to be a good player to play these clubs. See if I can get up and down and save this par. That did not come out that well either. So, in danger of another bogey here, which is the last thing I would want heading into our second hardest hole that we’re going to play and definitely the hardest hole on this particular nine holes of golf. Yeah. Yeah. Golf can be a frustrating game, can it? Good news is we have some great irons that are going to give us, I think, the best chance we might possibly have to tackle a very tough hole. But we are two over and I got to put some better swings on the ball. Okay, here we go. Last hole. I’m right on my number, my overunder plus two here today. I’ve got to hit two really good shots in order to par this particular hole. That’s one. All right, so 203 is how far I hit this one. I still have 190 into a back pin on a very deep green. I’m also on a bit of a down slope here. You may or may not be able to see on the camera. So, it’s a tricky shot. But after I hit this one, we’re going to go ahead and rank these clubs. Wish me luck. It’s on a good line. Caught thin again. I came up on it and we’re just in front of the green, but it’s going to be a long, long chip. All right. So, as you know, I rank clubs on five categories. The first one being distance. We didn’t see it there, but in terms of distance, I’m giving these for a players iron, four and a half out of five. Absolutely close to a five out of five as a players iron because they’re as much distance as you could possibly want as long as you get fit for the right shaft. I think in terms of forgiveness, you saw it there again. My left right misses have not been too bad today. Even on I don’t think I’m swinging the club very well here. I’m in a kind of a bad groove since I’ve come back from vacation. and you will lose a few yards, but it’s not going to be earthshattering. They’ve got these weighted properly where those low hits, which is my tendency, the thin ones are still pretty good. So, forgiveness-wise, I’ve got to also give these a four and a half out of five as a player’s iron. Absolutely. Now, when it comes to workability, it’s got everything you could possibly want. I’ve faded shots today. I’ve hit shots off the toe that you could see had a lot of movement, which is also indicative of a workable club. and I’ve been able to flight my shots down when needed and control distance. I mean, I don’t see how I couldn’t give it a five out of five in terms of workability. Honestly, when it comes to aesthetics, looks, feel, and sound, that’s the easiest for me to possibly score. That’s an easy five, and it would be a seven out of five if you were talking about feel. I will say it again, there’s not a better feeling club on the market that I have personally tested. When it comes to looks, I love how this set blends seamlessly between the muscle backs and the cavity backs. They look great at a dress. There’s a subtle bit of offset, which I personally like. I don’t want it to be a razor blade. While it’s not the thinnest of top lines, it gives you just a little bit of confidence up top, but it’s not going to get in the way of you feeling like you’ve got a player’s iron in your hand either. The sound goes with the feel. It’s exceptional. So, easy five out of five. And when it comes to value, again, easy five out of five. You could spend thousands of dollars on golf clubs and not get a golf club that performs as well as these Tour golf clubs do. As you can see on your screen, this is a 96 point club. This is right at the top of the list of clubs I played here this year, which would include that Mizuno S3, which I believe I ranked 98 points, and the Srixon ZXI5 line. This club feels better than them. It performs arguably as well as those clubs, and it’s going to come in at a price that is half of those clubs. So, yeah, incredible job here again from Torah Golf in 2025. Like I mentioned, if you can get your hands even on one of these irons to test out, I highly, highly recommend you do. We’ve got uh hopefully two shots here to get our over under. I’m just on the uh apron here of this green. Very easy up and down under normal conditions, but we’ll see what it’s like here under these conditions today. I think these are ones that I’m going to keep in my bag for a little bit longer to continue to test. We may even do some more videos around them cuz I would like to go headtohead with some of those irons I mentioned and I really love to see the stats side by side. But boy, I’ve had a ton of fun playing these Torah golf clubs, and I hope you’ve had fun watching this one as well. If you did, hit that subscribe button. It really helps. And I’ll catch you back here next time on another edition of Let’s Play Through.

Amazing looking irons!!
Great video. Would you recommend the Toura CBs or the Takoma 201s?
Future driver comparison idea – G440 LST vs Qi35 LS v GT3 v Elyte Triple Diamond.
Great review, those Toura irons look absolutely gorgeous, everything I look for in a club. Would love to get my hands on a set of these one day.
Great video!!! I have Toura golf on my mind. What kind of shoes do you use?
Great review Gabe. Try the Haywood Golf SV2/PD1 combo soon ok?😊
You should do a video for the best combo irons. I’ve been gaming some combos and I absolutely love them and these toura irons look great and with the review you did I am really excited about these. Would love to see other brands/sets, both big brands and little less known brands, all in one video. Love the content. Keep it up!
Those Toura clubs seem like the real deal. Gabe, glad you didn't melt out there. It seems like every day we are under a heat advisory here in Central Florida. It's been brutal.
I think these are gorgeous and this spring when I built my new set I was a hair away from getting them then. However I am very loyal to Maltby so I went with a blended set of the TS4 & TE+. The bummer for me is weeks after I built them they did the TS4's in a black DBM finish like the TE+ which I totally would have done. No regrets though. Amazing clubs.
Cmon Gabe if they are that good put them in the bag today. The real world is you have a big time advantage getting tester clubs every day. Us mere mortals over here in new Tampa play the same sticks over and over and over. Not complaining.🏌🏿♂️⛳️😎🐊🇺🇸👍
I’m the best aerated greens putter on the planet, hurts my soul hearing them called bad 😂😂
They look awesome just wondering can you get a whole set of cavity backs?
Any shipping to the UK
Awesome job as always ,,,,,, patiently waiting for your video on the mear mortals irons that are in production and the Maltby,s TS 3.5 that should be released in September
Gabe.. Have you ever played the snake eyes brand of golf clubs? Saw them on rock bottom golf..
I like it. Very fair review. Well done! 🐐
Nice looking irons but way too much offset for me…I’d be hooking everything with those….not a fan of thick top lines either for a players iron…
Curious why you put the IC602s on the thumbnail? They are the worst feeling Miuras…
That’s my next set! They make a bronze rough finish
Hi. Gabe! Toura's are wonderful feeling clubs. I bought a 60° wedge based upon your review of them previously. It quickly became my favorite feeling club. Unfortunately, a hidden rock in a bunker scarred the beautiful front edge in only my 2nd round out with it. 😢 It is still in the bag. Highly recommended brand. 😊
They let me throw on a mid-size grip for no extra charge, and I love it. Keep up the great reviews of lesser known brands!
Will the golfer obsessed with the look, feel and image of Japanese irons be truly happy with these non-JDM irons in the bag? Or will it always be at the back of their mind? It will depend on the individual.
You need to play that cut more often, Gabe.
Gabe, that’s a BIG statement from you about best feeling irons ever.
I think that you need to do Comparison video. You pick the other sticks but you have a tough job in front of you. 😛
Combo set isn’t a new concept; Nike did it on their Pro Combo irons ! 😅
Try the Bridgestone 222CB+ that have been released in the states this year, they will shock you.
I found a new small brand I’ve been keeping my eye on, Branford. Would like to see your opinion on them eventually. New to your channel
Every time I watch a new video, I want those irons lol. This is high praise over the other clubs you listed. I’m going to look them up. Love you channel and your honesty of the reviews.
Do you have a discount code from Toura?
They look sexy😮
love the touras. I can tell you this video is telling the truth. I have the SCB-1 CBs and they are amazing. Only thing i would disagree with is the offset. I guess it is in the eye of the beholder a bit, but these are pretty low offset clubs. Not zero, but like 1.7mm in a 7-iron and 1.3mm in the PW is pretty low. I am not sure any OEMs really go any lower than that? Nice video overall, these clubs really are the real deal. Wish the combos were available when i got the CBs.
The Touras look awesome for the price! It'd be nice if they offered more flexibility in their offerings, for example 5i – G.
I’d like to know if you actually owned or hit Miura irons. I own three sets of Miura, cb301, cb302 and ic 602. Out of all my past irons including the Takomo 201, non feel like Miura forged. Takomo are close but aren’t workable and nowhere as soft.
Hey Gabe! You say they feel Even better than the Edel you and I are gaming 🤔🤔😅 btw I bought them after your review of the sms pro and absolutely love them!! Good video as always 👍🏻👊🏻
