Please welcome Adam Scott. Quick movement there. Left with a tickler back down the hill. This has got plenty on it. Should be up on that top shelf. Good line, too. Oh yeah, very nice. You heard him mention Michael Growler adjusted yardage. It’s actually it doesn’t look it on our screen there, but no worry. Head a few slow starts and Chefer cut his hand on a wine glass. Xander was ri injury. He was out for a while. A little lower flatter of flight here for Jordan Spith. This one hugging that left side should be just fine. Right at my target. And this one from 153 from SP down the left side all over it and just looks a little touch deep from my angle. It is indeed. And getting a little deeper. That’s 3540 ft range. It’s got pitch from moments ago. So, this one’s going to have some Velcro on it coming all the way back up to this pin and a little left to right. Boy, they have got a little zing zing early. These greens, I mentioned it. It’s just everything. Oh, that looks like a nice lag. It’ll be about a foot. No, it’s about 3 ft past. Used to look at the hole on the short ones earlier in his career. Anybody you played with in your day that used to do that on the shorter putts? I can’t recall anyone before Jordan who did that. Well, if you’re Jordan Spe, how do you follow that one up? Well, this one sounded not quite in the center of the club, just leaking towards the right hand side. Well, that is going to go off the green. We’ve already seen this one. Kevin Roy fell victim to the same circumstance. Watch this one. That’s going to head on down there another 10 yards or so. Well, we’ll get to see Jordan Speed’s magical short game at work here at the 12. These green complexes are tricky. And this is not an easy little pitch, especially when the greens got a little do on him. He makes it look easy though, Robert. He can certainly make it look easy at times, I think. Oh, boy. So, it’s going to be a lost shot for Speed here at the 12th. Strong par three at 211 yds. And it’s had the previous hole. Unable to get up and down from the front right of the green. Good hold to bounce back on this one. Get it in the fairway. Attack it with a short club. And part one of the equation is satisfied for Spath. A little chase up in that part of the fairway up top as well for speed. Nice angle coming into the 13. The butt of the grip’s well into his into his hand. It’s Well, he’s hoisted a mile in the air here, Robert. You got to be cognizant of spin. And he is. That is a great leave. Reason it didn’t have any spin on it. And it’s one thing to get a good break, it’s another thing to take advantage of. Good birdie there for speed. Just does not suit the eye. You know, Swany, back when Spath was the best player in the world. Well, actually, when Colin and Jason Day were taking him down at Whistling Straits for the PGA that year, uh Jason was driving it so beautifully, but just got to keep it out right for sure. Is he has done that, Robert? It’s on the dance floor as they say, Robert. A long way from the band. Very long. gave it its due respect. Wouldn’t be Colin would not be surprised if he made it. Nice call. There’s Colin not being surprised. And with a fresh medal in his hand, that bunker out in the distance shouldn’t be an issue. And he’s turned it over just a touch heading down that left side. Needs a soft kick to stay in the fairway. And it does not. That’ll be a layup. Yeah, it looked like it fell right to the bottom there, too, Colin. A wedge in hand here, Julia. Not a very long hole at all, but you can see the effort it took to get it out of that thick stuff. This is all about just positioning it back into play. Rough is pretty penal over there on the left side. Actually walked all the way up the fairway to make sure he got the perfect line and angle at this pin. Now from 110, he clipped this nicely. players just maybe a little fearful of that bunker out there on the right side. Trying to use the slope to work this one back down towards the hole. It’s pretty Oh, there it is. That’s the roll that Beta needed. Spe gets it and I have a feeling he’s giving Ash a look. Right pin location. High floaty shot here for Jordan. May catch a bit of the right edge. It doesn’t. That could be an awkward little pitch if it gets up against that collar. Got to go out there and make birdies. Here’s Spith at 16 after missing the green and coming up short on his chip left there for his five. Back to 16. Jordan Spith completes the up and down par and left side also similar does feed down there. So, This one hugging that right side. It may need a big kick left to get back on the short grass though. You were right. Stays up. He gave it a cluck trail. We’re thinking that’s pretty good, but that stays up on that thick rough on the right side. Remember back when you were a kid and you put your hand in the cookie jar and you went all the way to the bottom to get the chocolate chip ones. That’s this ball here for speed. Nasty lie. He’ll be doing well just to get keep it on the front portion of the green. That is a very very fine shot. coming back uphill, moving considerably from his left to right. And then it gained speed at the very end. Already has made a long one today. And that’s a really nice putt there for a stressfree par for Jordan. But it’s it’s crazy what a T-shot can do. You go from being on the offense, like you said, to being on the defense trying not to make a bogey on a pretty short little par4 here. So it’s a par for speed at the 17th. Yeah, it’s been fun watching these guys grow up on the PGA tour, but this one well left headed towards the trees. It’s all about the bounce and the luck in there. And Colin, let me ask you cuz you know you’ve been around Jason Day. There’s plenty of guys wearing white shirts today. It is hot. But he is going to have to move this. I would say somewhere around 30 or 40 yards. And how’s this for a shot? It’s going to kick down into that bunker, but pretty good all in all. You’d have to imagine he’s going to try and catch it a little heavy. Oh, that is beautifully done, Julia. He’s aimed well out to the right and just taps this one. Oh, how good is that, Julia? Spe a speedlike par here at 18. That’s exactly what I was about to say. Jordan Spe has made the turn. He’s on the tea at the first. This one heading right. He’s coming off of a heroic par at the 18th. He missed it well out to the left on the 18th. This one Cuppy live for speed here at one. Yep. And he’s just hung this out a touch to the right. This one may need to sit down a touch if it’s going to stay on the back of the green. Hold on now. Ball. Don’t do anything silly. Okay, I agree. Love to see him. Quality day intact. And Phillips hangs on to the lead at six under and speed keeps it at minus two through 10. All right. Yeah, just an iron is all that’s needed down here for Jordan Spith. It’s a great hole, too. Plays downhill, moving from right to left to right. And this one, if it hits this firm fairway, might run out of runway coming out of this first cut. Just that little more daunting. Good line. Looks deep. Headed just a tough tr. Will it stay? Will it stay? It will not despite his contortionism there at the end. See if speed can threaten the hole or even hole it. Oh, he can do everything. But this one so easy to go under and he’s done it. It was when the ball sits up in this little bit of Bermuda. It’s so easy to slide that club underneath it. That is that was the pairing he was with there. Nice pull. Yeah, I still every time I see that second shot, watch it hits on 18, I expect it to stop. I It had to have landed exactly where he wanted it to. Nice work from Speed. Oh, Grabers and tilts from left to right. Ry almost hold it. Spe has hauled everything today, but not that one. That was a difference though like you were saying between that and Matia had to think about that one for a sec. Looks like maybe the mini driver here for speed. Oh, this one is gorgeous. High floating turning from right to left. This one’s also going to land in the middle, but back there. I’m not sure if it’ll stay in the first cut, will it? Uh, we don’t know yet. As you could see there from Adam Scott’s shot pin all the way in the back left. Now this has promise. Looks a touch deep. That’s never online. No, I mean, of course, Colin worked with a guy in Jason Day who was maybe the best putter we had out here for three or four years stretch. Got to be at one of the shortest parfives on the tour. Ah, yeah, it may well be. Beauty here for speeds. Holy cow. Wow, that was a massive first bounce. Now to catch the ski slope. That bounced like he hit a sprinkler head. He just aimed left, letting that natural contour of the slope ball blow his feet. Why’d he look at GR? Because he was standing there, I guess. So, right. I That’s That’s a heck of a I think he looked over and said, “This is going to be a good one.” So, what’s the effect of the three-finger grip that that Colin referenced there? Well, yeah, I think Danny Willlet stole that second one or Jordan Speed gave it to him. Jordan, [Applause] another disappointing birdie. Yeah, the old aim small, miss small theory. You see a lot of guys miss the fairway on par five layups. And this one hugging that left side here for Jordan Speed. I hope I haven’t talked too soon, guys. Uh, you’re safe. Just 146. Speed took it down that sort of left side. Create a good angle and he is not to be outdone here. This looks really good. Really good. That’s going to be a fun putt to watch though. Couple of others keen to take a look at this putt because it is going to move a lot. Made it look easy. Just enough to take the edge off it because it is hot. Not enough to cool Colin down. Tracing technology provided by Trackman. Oh, will it hold on, guys? It will. It is teetering. Going to want to accelerate and move pretty hard from his left to right. Take a seat. Thought he may have pitched that one, Robert. Majority of the round. Oh, that was not his best stroke by a long way. Robert, no, it wasn’t. And it was left to the hole immediately. Just right this moment, 12th place to 20th place. There’s tons of players at four, five, and six. Three, four, five, six under. Utility club out for speed. Now this one starts on a better line heading towards the right traps. It should stay short and it does I believe you believe correctly Colin dead. Yeah. 98 is all that remains for Jordan speed. Left pin location and he is known for his wedge play but can he control the spin to this pin location? Colin that’s I mean that’s fine but that’s to see him pull a wedge like that’s kind of rare. It almost missed the green left away is painful. Birdie putt for speed. The target of eight. He made a ton in the middle of the his first nine and then kind of went cold with the putter and and this thing absolutely torched up the right side. Okay, spin. Aggressive line touch long touch right by the looks of it. Well, wow. That’s a good golf shot. If it ever stops rolling. Yeah. Okay. Speed buries it. Gary called it. It’s a five under 65.
