NORMAN, Okla. – Two Harvard men’s golf student-athletes have been named Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced this week. Jeffrey Fang ’25 and Barry Zhang ’28 earned the honors after posting high marks on the course and in the classroom during the 2024-25 season. These two golfers each me the GCAA’s criteria of a 3.2 GPA or higher and a 76.0 scoring average or lower in both semesters of the season.
 
A senior and 2024-25 Harvard men’s golf team captain, Fang adds this honor to his already lengthy list of achievements during his collegiate career. Not only did Fang secure Second Team All-Ivy League honors for his performance on the course, but he also received Academic All-Ivy and CSC All-District At-Large Academic Team awards this season. This is Fang’s second All-America Scholar award after claiming a spot on the 2023-24 list.
 
Barry Zhang burst onto the scene for the Crimson this season, posting a 72.94 scoring average while securing three top 10 finishes. This is Zhang’s first career All-America Scholar award.
 
These two student-athletes were at the forefront of what was a stellar academic performance for Harvard men’s golf during the 2024-25 season. The team posted a cumulative team GPA of 3.95 or higher in both semesters to lead all Harvard teams.
