Keegan Bradley is one of the biggest names in the field for the Wyndham Championship this week.
While many top players sit out ahead of the FedEx Cup playoffs, Bradley is motivated to play well at Sedgefield Country Club.
One would expect his reason to be about the upcoming Ryder Cup, where he is now likely to be a playing captain.
However, the 39-year-old has something else on his mind at the Wyndham Championship.

Bradley is determined to play on the USA Ryder Cup team at Bethpage. That means he will need to finish in the top six in the qualification standings or receive a captain’s pick.
Obviously, as the captain, he is effectively guaranteed to be picked if he sees himself fit, but he will want to qualify anyway.
But the Ryder Cup is apparently not his main motivation this week at the Wyndham Championship. Instead, he’s focused on the Comcast Business Tour top 10.
“I want to finish in the top 10,” Bradley said. “Comcast is a season-long achievement, and I have to play in it to make sure I do that.
“So, it’s another chance to get some points as well and be a little sharper going into Memphis.”
The top 10 players in the FedEx Cup after the Wyndham Championship will receive a share of $40 million, with $8 million going to the winner.
Bradley is currently in 10th place, so millions of dollars are on the line depending on his performance.

Bradley has regularly been asked about his plans for the Ryder Cup throughout the season, with three genuine options: player, captain, and playing captain.
Before the Wyndham Championship, Bradley referred to himself as “just another player,” even though everyone assumes he will be a playing captain at Bethpage.
“It doesn’t change the fact that if I weren’t the captain, that is what I would want to do, but I am focused on being a captain right now,” he added.
“I want to play on the team, but we will see. I am just another player who has a chance to make the team. If I’m not in the top six, you should not expect to be on the team.”
