Michael Wacha is pitching in his 299th career game which all started against the Royals back in 2013 when he was with the Cardinals. And this will be his second start of the year against Cleveland Watkins. Next pitch to a fastball up has swung on and missed. So he set him up nicely for a high fastball, could not lay off and down. He goes and one away and two down strikeouts have come with the fastball and on a day like today, hud if you’re out there on defense, I think all you want to see is strike after strike and keep the game moving back to back strikeouts. He will be making his 21st start and he’s coming off a start against Oakland that it was his best start at a career high. 11 punch out, only walked one, he threw 70% strikes. He goes five and one third and departs with the Royals leading 2 to 1. Angel Zerpa is on the pitch and ramirez advances 90 ft on the long fly out to Gell in the top of the sixth inning. Brings up Carlos Santana like ramirez before him swings around the bat right handed, swing and a miss strike three. Santana is down to end the inning. Retires to the three he’s brought to face it winds up as a scoreless inning one away. So now it’s Garcia’s turn fastball chopped down the line at third, goes past ramirez to the left field line into the corner, extra bases for Michael Garcia.
