STEELERS LIVE With Steelers Dynasty Podcast: Training Camp Observations From Steelers Insider Bubba

Here we go. Good day, Steer Nation. How you going? It’s Mark here. Mark from the Steeler Nation Australia. [Music] What’s going on? What the hell was that? Let’s go, baby. Yes. Yes. Let’s go. What’s the deal with this game? [Music] [Applause] [Music] I think there’s the stereotype that we drink fosters. No, the first foster I saw was in in Pittsburgh. It’s true story. Yeah. The first ever foster I saw was in was in America. I’ve never seen I thought that was like Australia for be what? Here [Music] we go. There we go. And now, Steeler Nation, welcome back to Steelers Nation Australia and also welcome back to Steelers Dynasty podcast. We have live footage of late Trobe. Looks so sunny and [ __ ] beautiful. Bubba, where are you? Bubba, you there Bubba? Bubba, come in. Come in, Bubba. I’m so keen to talk to Bubba about football today. Bubba, please. Is that you in the back? Are you are you over there? Are you near the the the building? Bubba, come in. Bubba, I’m so happy we’re going to discuss Steelers football. Well, hang on. Are those [ __ ] Are those [ __ ] clouds in the distance? Are those Nah, those gray clouds will go away. We’ll be fine. We’ll be sweepy. No worries. There’s no way this gets washed out. God. Baba, where are you? What happened? That’s what it looked like. That’s what it looked like. Three after two. Oh my god. What happened, mate? I don’t know. Meet me at L Trobe and I lost. Oh [ __ ] Here it come again. Found Bubba on a sheet sign. Holding on for dear life to the tree limb down there cuz I was underneath the trees. Oh, [ __ ] That’s funny. Oh, it was terrible. I like like I said off camera, they were getting ready to do some drills and they’re like, you see that pipe right there? Well, yeah. Then they’re like, “Please, please evacuate the field. Please evacuate the field.” I’m like, “You got to be kidding me. Put that picture back up. Put that picture back up, Mark. The one with the with the rain.” Oh, but Oh, live coverage. See that? That pipe right there is what Bubba’s used to create. That right there, that pipe is what Bubba was using to breathe. That white pipe. It I got there and I got in line and the line was like a mile long. Okay. So, it was hot which I knew was going to happen like that. So, I went through some some tents. I went through and took some pictures of like uh some Steeler memorabilia on on these kios and whatever. I I took a picture of uh the the throwback jersey with TJ Watt in a glass case. I was pumped. I went through the big giant tent, the merchandise to go look for an Aaron Rodgers jersey, but to my dismay, big heavy set guys don’t have 4x’s underneath the tent. So, I have to order it online. So, I’m going through. I’m just watching and I’m going down and I go down where the offensive linemen were at. Um, I seen I seen Aaron Rogers. I snap a picture. I’m like, “Oh, yeah.” You know, and then I got a video with the four of them dropping back and then they did a little bit of drills and he threw a pass to DK Medaf and then they told everybody to evacuate. It’s terrible. her, you know, in some of these times, Barbara, in these moments when I get like this and if I were if I were to go to camp, my reaction would be, “Oh, good. It’s raining, you know, because I’m very sarcastic. I’d be like, “Oh, it’s fantastic. I came all this way from Australia and it [ __ ] I mean, I I it wasn’t even raining at my house. It was nice in Indiana, Pennsylvania.” And I’m like I was like, “Okay, maybe it’ll blow over.” And it just kept raining harder and harder. And I was down by them pine trees and I wasn’t getting any shade and I’m like, “Ah, I’m already done.” And then I went into another I I cut another video. Water is coming through their Steeler merchandise tent, you know, and he’s pushing it up because the water’s caving it in. And I’m like, “Ah.” I mean, Aaron Rogers did look good throwing that ball to DK Medcap, though. It had a nice spiral. And that’s all I got. The The one The one you saw? That one I saw. That’s all I got, man. Well, Karth K was there, too. Karth was there as well. Yeah, I was I had I had a you know Oh, I don’t want to I want a Troy jersey. I just want to say to all the 16 people listening on on both podcasts, we’re the only [ __ ] podcast on two podcasts that can talk about rain for six and a half minutes. You’re welcome. All right. It’s it’s it’s easy to talk about rain, but also we’re talking about Bubba’s birthday. Happy birthday, mate. Well, thank you. Thank you so much. Uh um I tried to get a blizzard, but it was uh it wasn’t frozen. Uh blizzard. Oh my god. Sh. I’m kidding. Oh my god. And your and your weather down there is perfect, Shane. You got That’s my new [ __ ] button. I’m going to try. That’s my new thing. Got a little bit of sprinkles. It rained for it rained for maybe 45 minutes today, but that’s about it. Yeah, Shane, where are you, mate? Where what’s going on in your neck of the woods? What’s What’s happening? It’s been hot as hell. It was 95 yesterday at Dirty Myrtle. Uh, that’s about it. Rain a little bit today. Ran into someone bubbing me. Went to college or went to high school with three doors down from where I’m staying. Three doors down. That’s a good band. Yeah, Jason Jason Frederick who is a actor who has been in multiple movies, famous famous alum from Marian Center High School, great great guy. Uh ran into him and his beautiful family and it was great to see him. So shout out to So what happened? Did you you like walk past him? He’s like, “Oh, Shaneo, what’s up, mate?” His wife is carrying a bag uh a food line bag with with garbage in it. And I had just done that earlier in the day and the bottom start falling out cuz my kids threw something wet in a paper bag and it start collapsing halfway to the trash. So I told her, I said, “You better watch out. That might collapse before you get to the garbage.” Uh, and just as I said that, Jason came out and I’m like, “Hey, I know you.” He’s We got We got him. And that’s awesome. So I was like, “Hey, I know you.” So it’s a small world. Uh he was very surprised. He looked at me. I said, “Hey, Jason.” Shane Stam Miller. Anyways, my internet sucks here in the hotel. No, it’s all right. It’s all It’s all Bubba’s fault really. It’s because I bring I am the weather I I am now a Marvel character called Weatherman. So now when I go it rains and pours. That’d be pretty cool. I wouldn’t mind that that uh super power u on the old high hotel Wi-Fi. Speaking of hotels, fellas, for myself last night, I’ve I’ve been planning my my Europe and um Dublin trip and and I was using AI. And by the way, AI is fantastic to plan anything. If you want to plan a 3-day trip, just say, “Hey, I want to go to Pittsburgh, I don’t know, New York, and something else in in like 3 days, and how do I get back, and I want to see something along the way?” It does it all for you. You just keep talking to it. Uh I plan pretty much my whole Europe trip around uh Ireland to I’m going to Germany, then I’m going to uh Prague, Austria, and then back to Dublin. So, I’m doing like a little circuit. So, it you can AI because I’m going to AI. How about going back to training camp? I’m going to AI it and see what happens. Yeah, you can do like you just ask questions. You just Wait a second. Are you sure it’s not some some it’s not some cartel? No, I don’t think so. I think I I should be fine. Unless I get like the wrong hotel and I’m I’m booked into um uh yeah, a dodgy European hotel. there’ll be four terminators like you know covering the exit. I I just kept talking to it and saying like you know from day one to four I want to see these locations and it just gives you all this kind of it’s just really great to be honest. I’ve just I’ve never seen it. It’s it’s like a like a personal travel agent that you work with because I used to be a travel agent right so I know how it kind of works. Oh really? I did not know that. Yeah for like four months about four five months. Oh okay. I was like would you like insurance? No. Well, you have to get it because otherwise you can’t get in. All right. That was my selling tactic was fear, right? Um anyways, and last night I was up till 4:00 a.m. booking hotels. Once I did one, I just did them all in a row, you know, till I till I got to like all the hotels I need to stay in and stuff like that. You’re all ready for to the trip then. You’re all ready. Not already, but I’m like getting organized. Getting organized. um much organized than I was before. But um also I’ll be watching a game over there I think in Austria at 2:00 a.m. Like three was hard enough. It’s [ __ ] 2 a.m. and that’ll be Steelers versus Bengals somewhere in my room probably. Um yeah, it’s going to be rough, right? It’s going to be rough. Um but yeah, one big shout out to you, Barbara, on your birthday. We’ll talk some Steelers stuff. I do I do want to go over and we’ll see how Shane’s internet goes here and there. We can we can hear him just enough. Uh we’ll see how see how it pans out. Um but I do want to go over some just a quick a few quick things in terms of the transactions. Uh Steelers have signed DT DTackle Dominic Davis and tight end Kevin Fish. I don’t know how to pronounce that guy’s name. And running back uh Lou Nichols and waved uh Montana Lemias Craig and linebacker Jeremiah Moon and Ter the contract with Corderell Patterson. I think we all knew Patterson was going to happen to be honest, but these other guys um these other guys is getting cut and resigned because or one bloke’s injured and that’s that’s tough. They got to find someone to fill that role, right? This isn’t too nothing too crazy. Just standard football, Baba. Well, they needed that. But that one guy who was going to be a fullback kind of like a position who got injured, they were actually looking at him pretty good. I read some stuff on him and I I’m gonna say he’s not cut yet though. He’s he’s still No, he’s on injured reserve, but once again, Connor Hayward is like on the on the window ledge holding and that’s probably how he’s going to make this team because of this guy getting hurt and out for the season. Yeah, I wouldn’t be surprised if they were to cut uh Connor Connor Haywood at all. But um for these names that just happened, I I look, they’re people. Isn’t Jeremiah Moon the Raven? Yeah, he’s he’s a he played last year, too. So, um but yeah, they they signed a t tackle, tight end, and running back, but got rid of receiver, linebacker, and Cordell Patterson. The biggest one is really Patterson. I think he was always going to go. And he said in the in he broke his own news and said, um he said, “Oh, that washed player is gone.” I’m like, “If you’re making jokes about yourself, you must know you’re pretty [ __ ] to be honest.” I don’t know. You know what I’m saying? I I I don’t think he’s that great of a player anymore. He used to be used to be great. He used to be good. 34. So yeah, his time his time’s up. So nothing against him. He just used to play he played better with the Falcons and Vikings. He was he’s a really great kick returner and he had like one or two good runs with us and next minute that’s it. Um so he’ll probably retire. I don’t think he’ll go back to the Falcons though. You never know. They might get him up. Um but yeah, other than that there’s no rule. I don’t think any um news today Bubba because it [ __ ] rained. Well, um it was it was uh it was good. It was nice. It was hot and it rained. I saw Aaron Rogers, like I said, throw to DK Medcaf and and that was it. Like I’ve never seen that before where they evacuated and told people to get out. Like and I thought I thought they were coming back and it was just a little bit of rain and all of a sudden it just poured and it just didn’t quit. And they I know they practiced inside, you know, St. Vincent’s but we weren’t going to see it. They were in pads, but it’s a good point. Uh, Don Pon’s injury kept Connor in in the TN mix as well. So, yeah, I wouldn’t be surprised if he does get cut. Nothing against him either. I just wouldn’t be surprised if that happens if he’s not really going to fit the Arthur Smith offense. Um, so yeah, it’s it’s just one of those things. But tomorrow, they have the Pat McAfee uh and we’ll see if Shane’s there too. We have the Pat McAfee um uh what do you call it? podcast or training camp. Shaneo, would you would you go down and see Pat McAfee? Yeah, if I could, I would probably go down and see Pat Mack, but it’s just uh it’s going to be absolutely crazy down there. Uh uh we’re talking probably double the the volume that they normally get. 20,000, right? Pat Mack has a huge following. Uh yeah. Yeah. Rabbid fan base, but that’s that’s going to be crazy. and he puts on quite a spectacle. But there is breaking news that just came across my phone. Uh Aaron Rogers, it it is reported that both both of his socks got wet today. Nice. Couldn’t happen. Shane, because he was already in the building before it got rained on. I mean, he he he did I don’t think I don’t think he got a drip a drop of rain on them. They were already gone before it rained. I just a full I think there was lightning and they hurried up and got them off because they had to get people out of the Chuckn stadium seats because of all they you know that aluminum and steel that’s why they had to get people out of there. So Shane this is just a follow-up question. Would you say that he’s stepped in a puddle? No, he stepped in a puddle and he’s he’s highly upset and has hurt feelings. So he’s not washed. Shane washed. He’s He’s He still has another good year in them. Okay. Another good year. Socks are fun. Some threw that ball with velocity. That’s all I got. Wait. How did How does Shane’s audio get better? But he’s not even on screen now. It’s fantastic. It’s whatever hotel he’s in. He’s a mystery. This Shane O. Turn the video off. You can hear me. You can’t see me. Yeah, that’s what I’m saying. You’re you’re you’re a mystery. Um, well fellas, what are the some other the besides Bubba going? You’re breaking up. I can’t hear you. I do you want me to play the rain again? No, I can’t do the joke too much because it loses effect. Uh, yeah. You there? All right. What are the other observations, Baba? besides going there. But this whole week with with training camp, I I I mean I don’t know because I I mean they were they were, you know, with they came down the steps. The kids were loving it. Um they all came down the steps like TJ Watt came down the steps, Aaron Rogers came down the steps. They didn’t go another way in. Um maybe but they all walked up the steps when it was raining. Um I I I don’t got much. I mean uh no not today like like the last four days you’ve seen today washed. Today is washed. I mean I’ve seen a lot of uh well I wanted to see Will Howard. That’s what I wanted to see. Um you know and he just walked out and somebody’s like oh Ohio or whatever they he’s like oh hey Ohio. And he gave a maybe I was saying hello Ohio. Yeah. Um, and I really couldn’t see the running back uh quartet because they were further down the the field. Um, but I mean Will Howard’s good, but he’s good with, you know, going against guys with no pads. So, I wanted to see pads today. It didn’t happen. Maybe this all happened because they want to make Pat Mc Pat McAfee the the feature tomorrow. It’s going to be I I mean there was people I was lining up to get in and like I said on the way out Pat McAfei studio was stuff was overturned the wind was blowing all that electronical stuff was covered up with plastic. Um they were like trying to hurry up and cover it up because they had a nice studio right there and I took a picture of it um right there before you as soon as you get through the uh merchandise uh tent and you get right onto the field. There it is right there. So, and that’s 11 o’clock tomorrow. So, there’ll be people probably there at 9:00. Oh, they’ll be there [ __ ] piss early. They’ll be there at dawn. Uh Shane, what about you? What about the week? I know you’ve been busy with your holiday and stuff, but have you seen any any stiller news or any any observations from camp from afar? Anything that stands out? I’ve been watching uh just what I’ve just watching seagulls take a [ __ ] and waves hit the beach. That’s about it. Yeah. Blinking and breathing. I have not watched much anything. No. When I come back, I see what’s on on on uh on your feed and on Bubba’s feed. Uh I see some highlights, some really crisp looking passes. DK Metaf does not look like he’s a real person. He looks like he was made on one of those video games. Like he’s an emulator. It doesn’t even look real. Even like like when he goes through the backfield on those plays, he’s smacking these Dbacks and like they’re trying to grab the last cookie at a wedding. Oh my god. He’s a big dude. Uh even even Joey Porter Jr. was saying he’s a specimen. So when Joey Porter Jr.’s giving him some some cred. Yeah. He like Afton said, he looks genetically engineered from top to bottom. And I’m just hoping Jane, what you hoping, Jane? Jane Chane. Oh, now we’ll never know. Oh, he was hoping. Now we’ll never know. I think we’re all Baba. We’re all hoping I’m You know I saw today which I didn’t see him last year up close as I did was Roman Wilson and he came down and he is not he’s not a big guy. Not a big guy. He’s he’s um uh six foot like you know. No, not as much. No no I don’t think he’s six foot at all. I I think he’s probably the same size maybe a little taller than uh Calvin Austin. And I couldn’t believe it. I was like, “Holy [ __ ] he’s not big at all.” I’m like, “Wow.” You know, because 510. He’s 5’11. 5’11. Yeah. He didn’t look 5’11. He didn’t look 510 Devil. He looked like he was like 5’8 84 kilos or 188. He looked to me when I was in the trees looking He looked small. Like he didn’t look 510. And then he had even had his pads on and he didn’t look he didn’t look. But that’s what I’m saying. Like I think cuz I know you’ve had this this question around receiver number two, but I think if you would have saw him play today and maybe when you see him play in preseason, maybe your mind will change a bit. I’m just waiting for Steel Nation to try and catch up and like at least give the guy a chance before we ride him off and say he can’t do it right. Um I still think that our number TWS are probably are going to be our tight ends. 100%. I’ve been saying that for two months. I think Jonah Smith is is we have the pass catcher and I went on a big rant yesterday Bubba and I know you you’ve been talking about receiver to Matu as well so it wasn’t directed you or anything like that but I’m thinking when does since since the [ __ ] when did we [ __ ] care so [ __ ] much about receiver two when our receiver number one gets hurt like last year but this like terminology and like you know you could go to all different different kinds of teams and stuff like that it’s a m to me it’s a mad thing. I’m more worried about like getting the players out there in different schemes or how the offense works or who’s going to be the the pass catcher or the the the special teams. Like I get it. It’s it’s depth one, two, three, four, five. We seem to label them and there for two years now there’s been a gap of there’s no two, but we have like 10 fives. Well, I I just feel bad. I just feel bad when like when Pickkins got hurt last year, we didn’t have anybody stepping up. So, our receiving core was just bad and we couldn’t get any balls. And I I get that. I get that. But I still think it’s a bit like bit of bit of disrespect towards uh I think Calvin Austin in what what he plays. I think it’s a bit of dis disrespect to Robert Woods being a veteran for like [ __ ] 11 years. It’s just this idea of like we haven’t had a receiver number two since since Juju. That was Ju Guu and it was AB and Juju. Right. Right. But not every team has to have a receiver number two. What is a receiver number two? Like what’s what’s people just say it? We haven’t got a receiver number two. What does that mean? To me, a receiver number two is a receiver that is not one but could be a number one in case the number one receiver gets hurt. That’s what I’m saying. It doesn’t say too much. This this close to being uh you know he’s he’s pushing but also too you want a receiver number two that’s pushing your receiver number one. Yeah. But I mean like more like tangibles. Do you want a a guy who can be fast and quick? Like like what are the overall This is why I get stuck. Like what are the overall uh attributes or the tangible stuff? You you can say a receiver number two is is the next in line for one. It’s a [ __ ] easy answer to me. I think this idea is thrown around so much. But I I just I I just I just don’t know because I want more weapons for Rogers. We have weapons though. There’s I know. Rogers. Rogers never um I mean know he threw to the tight ends in in Green Bay in New York, but he never made his offense based off of the the tight ends. The tight ends he threw to him, but they weren’t big into his offensive uh categories. He always had a couple receivers that he was always throwing to, you know, one, two, and three, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, and then he threw a tight end in there, you know. Is it is it more is it more like a back a backup receiver like he’s picking now on on the Dallas Cowboys? Is he now typed into that role? No, but but I’m saying is he now typed into into into receiver number two? My my real problem with the the argument is I hear fans who say we needed receiver number two and there’s nothing [ __ ] behind it. It’s the exact argument around Mike Tomlin. We need to fire Mike Tom. They give me nothing after it, right? I’m trying to figure out what do fans want. I just think we need more firepower in our receiving core. Even though we have Austin and Roman Williams who’s unproven. Woods is towards the end of his career. He’s a veteran. He’s like a Van Jefferson. Um but I I think if we could get somebody else in there too to make the receiving core a lot better. Yeah, you could go you could go four wide. He could go four wide, which he probably won’t do in this Arthur Smith offense, but if Aaron Rogers could go four wide or five wide, oh my god, that’s that could be I I just think it’s the the missing tangibles. I think we get too caught up in one and two and it’s more of an XY and you know the X and the Z. The X and the Z are the guys that split out. I mean, now that you have that, we have that that Y guy. We have that tight end that is a freaking nature that we just got in that that can catch that ball and just stretch that that that defense in the middle, you know. Uh that’s going to be the big thing, Bubba, for for as the as you guys say, the number two. So, if we have money to sign somebody more you got Well, I we we have guys that tight end. What’s his name? What’s that guy that Mark? What’s that tight end you just got? John Smith. John Smith. Yeah, that guy is a that guy is a bonafide, you know, just regular like receiver that just is a freak big dude that can block a little bit. You know what I mean? like he’s just a giant regular receiver that happens to be that can play you know tight end. So you just that’s what I’m saying. I I think this I think this stuff around last two three years a lot of fans go into Madden mode and I don’t mean to pick on you too much Bubba but the idea number two I I think I think that it’s a a tiny bit it’s it just doesn’t make sense cuz when fans say it they say we need receiver 2 they don’t have anything besides well we need someone to back up if if DK back goes down. If Deco goes down, we’re pretty much stuffed anyway. I agree with depth, right? But this receiver number two, it just feels like there’s a [ __ ] void there where it goes one void and all the other players who are playing three, four, five, and six. To me, it’s more of a schematic thing of like who’s going to be aware on what on, you know, different um packages and stuff like that. And if anything, I’m going to go towards being uh not a receiver, a a pass catcher, which would be DK Metaf. Fry moves getting the ball next. And then probably Jonah Smith. Then it’s probably going to be uh Calvin Austin, then the other guys. Like that’s how my brain works. But then you see on Facebook, we can’t win anything because we haven’t got receiver too. We need to go and get this guy. But I don’t think it I don’t think that no one can ever list me tangibles or idea what that actually does when all offenses are just very different. That’s just the way I think, you know. Well, I mean, look, I mean, Cincinnati’s got three receivers and two of them could be a number one. I’m just saying. I mean, they But but that’s their offense. But it all depends if Arthur Smith actually starts spreading the field. If he spreads the field, is he’s going to put his tight ends out, you know, and and running streaks on both. is going to have Frimouth and Smith running streaks where they’re going to be running inside and coming off a block because more than likely they’re probably going to have to they’re going to have to chip at the defensive end and get open. They have to chip somebody because you’ve got to give protection to Rogers. So, they have to chip a little bit. And Fri is not a a good time blocker. He’s a better receiver, but you got to have someone on the other side of Medcaf if someone’s going on a streak. Um, it could be it could be Austin. I don’t know. I mean, until we see it. But it’s also nice to have another receiver who is say 61. Um, cuz you got Wil I didn’t know Wilson was 5’10 now. He looks smaller to me today. And then you got Kelvin Austin. And then Robert Woods is probably he might be 510 too. But um, you still would like to get another receiver, another receiver who’s 61 or 6’2 somewhere. and then have him out in the outskirts and then switch up that that offense and because Aaron Rogers wants he wants weapons and and you got to give them weapons to throw. So that receiver number two, whoever it is, if they sign somebody because they will have money. That’s what you want because you want to score quickly and if he has the the time to pass, he can get the receivers down the field. I would I would say and maybe possibly it’s not the fact we haven’t got one, it’s the fact that maybe you need better depth. I think that’s a better way to put it to me. Uh Mr. Tommy says a receiver to him it means another player that can get separation. Calvin Os can get separation definitely. So I just think it’s overtalked so much compared inside you know um not Fry Moose’s offense. Uh what’s it called? Arthur Smith’s offense with the tight ends that kind of stuff too. That’s why my name is is ray gun receiver number two because we keep talking about that over and over and over and over and over and over. I’m gonna talk till it’s What about Janu Janu if you put Janu out there and just put him out wide on the play. He doesn’t dig. I mean there’s such a mismatch on that big monster of a guy. You have to worry about DK because he’s a monster. On a on a linebacker it’s already a mismatch on a dig route. A dig route is where you go you go out and you do a 90 degree in the just right behind the linebackers. So those linebackers are forced to cover that mismatch. And right there you have a mismatch of a ginormous man on that’s fast on a linebacker that usually it’s a mismatch already on anyone because they don’t cover as well. And I mean with Rogers, he has quick he has a quick release. And right there that that’s that’s that’s something the Steelers haven’t had in forever. I think one one more question for you, Bob. Is it is it more about production? Is is receiver number two about production? Getting getting the ball. As I’m sitting back here and and I’m I’m trying to formulate an idea and a plan because if we didn’t trade Okay. So if we didn’t trade George Pickkins, even though he’s running his mouth right now. Okay, George Pickkins would be a solidified number two. Okay, so Calvin Austin and Roman Wilson and Robert Woods would probably be right down here because that would be a solidified number two would be George. It’s more based on the the quality of receiver is the wrong the number two receiver to me has to to show uh first team that they get they can make it to a number one receiver like those those three receivers that I just talked about nothing against them but they are not number one receivers where Pickkins even though he’s not a Steeler anymore that’s as as close as I can get to it is a receiver number two here’s Medaf And here’s Pickkins. Okay. Everybody else is right down here. That’s everybody. So, if we would have had George and DK and the two tight ends, they might have not have traded, but they still might have traded because we have a lot of firepower for Aaron Rodgers because I believe we’re all in to go to the Super Bowl. So, the more weapons that you have, the better off you are. That’s But yeah, if they were to somehow like trade and somehow get Scary Terry, that would in instantly improve, you know, Terry from the Commanders, right? Right. I I just you might have two number one receivers if that happens. [ __ ] What I I I mean, but I don’t see it happening because he wants There’s still no number two. No, but I definitely think like it’s been ongoing talking point for a while. I just think sometimes I think we’re missing what Shane was saying with with Jonah Smith and he’s now the tight end getting all the footballs and Fryouth will get more footballs. Um, someone in the chat said, “Yeah, Gainwell and Ben Scoronic, I think he’ll get some time too. Uh, Game will be moved into uh the running back ro that yeah, Rogers needs weapons for sure, but I think that when I read comments on the internet, it’s like we have no receiver too. I just feel like it’s not the same.” Anyways, we’ll be going be It’s a receiver two. It’s probably a receiver two by committee. So, whoever they put in there is receiver two. So, if Aaron Rogers gets 3,800 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions, I don’t care who he’s throwing it to because that means that he’s airing it out. Or if he gets 4,000 yards, they haven’t had 4,000 yards since Ben’s arm before it went like haywire. Um but and we haven’t had a quarterback since then, you know. So this is the year that we have to have our our offense like I I was listening to to sports talk on way home from the lovely monsoon and they said that uh they don’t think uh Johnson the rookie will have a better year than Naj had his first year. So it depends if they if they use him though because remember Big Ben Big Ben used Naji a lot. Do you remember that, Shane? When when Big Ben was getting thrown the football a million times, he got caught 73 catches in one year in 2019. He’s just dumping it down. Yeah, dumping it down. Dump it down. What What do you What do you think about that, Shane? You’re you’re a big big college guy. Well, here’s the thing. I’m thinking with with and here I’m going to simplify it, you know, and I’m I’m going to make it even stupid and you guys are going to laugh at this, but you think about like Chuck Norris and all those like ninja movies. You know, these guys can kill you with a spoon. Well, Aon can take a [ __ ] player and kill you with it. I mean, he doesn’t need a big number two. He if these guys catch the [ __ ] ball, it’s it’s going to happen. I mean, let’s just believe. Let’s let’s So So if they get cuz I think Scronics have a bit of a role in this in this offense, too. Skronics, who’s the gunner, he’s like receiver four or five on the depth chart. I think he’s going to have a role. I think the running back’s going to have a role, too. I think the the tight ends and different packages in um for for red zone, that kind of stuff. So you’re saying the master in command is the guy throwing the football. Just catch it. Be be where you need to be. If if receiver number two was a Jordy Nelson kind of guy, Steelers have Austin is a Jordy Nelson type, then the same mushroom tea. As long as you drink the same mushroom tea on the same, you know, you know that type of stuff. We’re gonna everything’s going to be all right. We’re going to have yin scasms. We’re going to be we’re going to be yelling and screaming during the live podcasts and it’s going to be all good. Speak Speaking of Yinsm, did you want to bring up uh I think you’ve made a new award, Shane, for the show. Yeah, I sawward, you know, in Myrtle Beach is like little Pittsburgh and I’m sitting there at the beach yesterday and I I’m like I told my wife said, “April, look at that.” She’s like, “What?” She’s like, “It’s a guy with a Pittsburgh shirt on and it’s I’m like it’s 95 degrees. He has a shirt on. That’s very Pittsburghy.” And it’s a pirate shirt. And I walk past him like, “Sell the team.” He’s like, “Yeah, damn right.” Pirate shirt, gold thing on. He had his uh insulin pump on and he’s like four beers in and it’s 90 95 degrees and he’s just staring out just watching seagulls. That is Yins Gazm. He’s the Yins Gazm award of the week for Myrtle Beach being 95 degrees with probably the diabetes. Take the shirt off. with the pirates, you know, just rocking it. So, and just just just having a great time in nature looking into the ocean, thinking this is this is this is this is [ __ ] fantastic. Hoping that someone’s going to sail in and buy the team for the for ain’t going to happen anytime soon. No. Well, luckily we uh aren’t really into baseball because that’d be really tough to talk about baseball all the time. Oh my god, it’d be brutal. Brutal. Yeah, there’ be nothing going on. No. Um, all right. That that was a good uh fun little segment. I think I’m I’m with you guys. I think it’s just going to be need maybe need a bit of depth. I’m thinking I just want I just want Bob to see I got to go back down. Now I got to watch cuz I thought I actually see more. Um it’s like a preview of a movie where I didn’t get to see the movie today. Like the the the movie screen got dissolved and I didn’t get to see it. So, I have to go I have to go back down. And I think once he catches a few passes and he he’s involved in the offense and like Shane said, if Rogers gets him to get a first down, we’re going to, you know, move move the team up and down the or down the field, right? Then everyone would be on board. I just think it is it looks like it’s it hasn’t I don’t know. It hasn’t been fixed because they they kind of muffed it last year too with the Mike Williams thing. So, I understand that, but I think at the same time I think they’ll figure it out. the I think coaches right now are like I don’t know what Roman Wilson can do in the NFL yet. That’s the thing because he got hurt. He looked he had glimmer of hope in a training camp and a and a couple plays in exhibition. We have to see him in a regular season game, a whole game to form some kind of uh bridge work on how he’s doing. That’s all. Oh, Shane, you’re muted. To his credit, let’s go back memory lane. He played a national championship game. He had a bonehead play in the national championship game. Okay. And I and I thought this [ __ ] just blew the game for the Michigan Wolverines. Second half, he made three big plays and basically won that game for him. So he has mental toughness, intestinal fortitude, and he’s a tough kid. Okay. You know, we have to see it though. We any college is different than the NFL. I know. But he did it at the highest level. It’s not like he he won a conference championship or he played good and the team went seven and seven and four. No, I understand he won a national championship. You know, you also had you had guys in the NFL that were drafted number one that are bagging groceries at Bo. You know what I mean? Yeah, I know. But that you know, I’m just saying he overcame a little bit of adversity. He had a little bit of adversity last year. I think there’s a pretty good chance that we we’ll see we’ll see some splashes this year. Maybe I I hope I hope our offense is is is running so fine-tuned that we’re we’re you know when we get a first possession we’re scoring touchdowns. We we haven’t had that in five years. So I mean if I if we see that God bless America and we just keep you know keep spot on. He is a dainty dainty dainty thing. He’s No, I guess he’s 5’10. I thought he was around it. He’s [ __ ] He’s 510. He’s like 5’9. He looks I’m telling you, I swear to God, I’m not blind and he was small. They’re they’re giving him a couple inches. He looks small. He’s not very big. I mean, I couldn’t go down there with a tape measure and like, “Hey, Roman Wilson, come here and me.” I couldn’t do that. I don’t think so. Yeah. Bubba Bubba’s used to looking at looking at wrestlers in a ring and judging how much they weigh and size and No, he knows what he’s he knows what he’s looking at. Well, I God bless you, Shane, but he didn’t look that big to me. He looked 5’8 5’9. What do they call those wrestlers in uh you know super lightweight the the um the dudes he’s looks like about the same Roman Wilson is about the same height as [ __ ] Rey Mysterio. Yeah. How good was Ray? What a great career. I know. All right. Let’s let’s change gears a bit. I want to talk about the the defense. I think the defense is going to be really special this year. But I want to really bring into um three players which was Mike Tomlin talked about during the week that that these three players Darius Slay, Jaylen Ramsay, and Joey Porter were going to be on the field the exact same time all the time. Shaneo, how does this work? And what do you think? If you didn’t hear about this, Mike Tomlin said that those three players were going to be used pretty much as much as they can. He said that and my brain just start rebooting. I’m like trying to visualize how that’s going to happen because in my mind, two of those guys are the same square peg, the same hole. I mean, it’s just it’s not going to like how’s that going to happen, you know? It’s like he has four guys for two for two positions on that defense. Uh I just don’t know. I mean, they have a lot and they have a lot of guys that can play that nickel slot defensive back, you know, inside. That’s what I was going to say. Hey, does that mean that Ramsay plays safety and someone comes in for That’s not a look. That’s not a look you see on every down. That’s look you maybe see one out of well maybe two out of every five downs. I know you’re like Shane, there’s only four downs, dumbass. But just you say you get a a you get a first f you have first down, second down, then you get another first down, then there’s a a you know second down, third down. I mean, in a series of five or six plays, you only see that those guys maybe two, three, two times. You’ll see like a beanie bishop. And that’s just that you don’t see those guys in those reps a lot. Uh it just I scratch my head and I’m trying to visualize. I’m not football smart enough. My football intelligence is like uh an 80, you know, like I’m Forest Gump. like well they’re saying that they they’re going to have I think what what Mike Tomman’s saying is like they play the nickel or whatever it may be that Ramsay can play that uh nickel slot spot but then also can play back at safety. They went and got the other Ravens that what happens what happens Mark is it allows them to rotate without subbing. They can just rotate on the with an audible. My understanding is there’ll be a signal and he’ll just rotate out. So, if he has to cover like like a two two spot or say he has to cover that spot, he’ll rotate back and they’ll just change that scheme and what will happen is that free safety will basically identify what’s going to happen, what the scheme’s going to be. That’s my understanding. I’m looking forward to it to be honest and I’m going to ask Bab the same question with you, but I’m looking forward to it because I think Jaylen Ramsay was I’ve been listening to a lot of podcasts. They’re saying he can take on the tight end. We got to verse Isaiah likely. we got to verse um you know the Bengals receivers some of that kind of stuff. What are your thoughts on Mike Tomman pretty much said that Darius Slay, Ramsay and Joey Porter were going to be on the field the same time as much as they can. What do you think? Okay. Who’s going to be the other one? That’s all going to be intermixed. But who’s going to be the fourth? Well, that’s what I was saying. That’s what it depends. It depends if Ramsey’s going to play safety or would he play down? uh you know maybe he could cuz he can play he can play the outside as well and then do you have like someone going to be the nickel? That’s what I’m trying to say. Like where do you put them you know in in like the defense? I I I would put Ramsay Man I don’t know. I I I would put Well, Ramsay could play any position. So, do you put Ramsay at a corner, Porter on a corner, Slay, and then you put that that Clark from the Ravens? I I you know that you put your four best ones out there. And then when you go to the nickel, you know, if if you put Clark in that position, that means he Beanie is not there anymore. You know what I mean? If they put C, I don’t know. like the the secondary. I’m not a big I I I’m not a big Austin Terrell Austin guy anyway. I never was because um this the Steelers defense because when he played at when he coached Detroit, he wasn’t Oh, yeah. Oh, I’m forgetting Elliot. Yeah. Yeah. So, there’s the fourth one. You got Elliott. You got So, you’re not even playing Trice. Yeah. Okay. Well, I I think this this because I’ve been watching Mike Tomman talk about this and he’s a former secondary coach and yeah, I’m not the biggest Austin fan either. I think Matt Canada, you know, sometimes gave him a um you know, a pass because everybody was yelling at Matt Canada sometimes the defense didn’t seem like it was working or getting getting beat on really shitty plays. But I think this is a really big move. The fact that they got Darius Slay who’s a veteran, won the Super Bowl last year. Ramsay’s won. He’s got that physicality. He’s got that swagger that that like don’t [ __ ] with me attitude with um Ramsay. Elliot has that too. I think the secondary is going to be one of the best secondaries we’ve seen. I I don’t think they had a lot of big plays last year. So, if this year they don’t have any big plays against them. To me, the biggest concern is not the secondary, it’s the defensive line. Um because of that almost 300 yards rushing in the playoffs and we haven’t done anything. We haven’t been on the field to actually see if we actually upgraded. I know it looks good on paper, but I don’t think we’ve had a lot of big plays last year in our secondary. I don’t think we’ve had maybe one touchdown get behind us if I’m not mistaken. Maybe the chat would know. That was I think that was something to do with um and Sha you can also expand on this too. I think Minka was that safety cuz he’s a safety, right? But that safety goat where nothing got behind him, you know, and this could be a bit nothing was going behind over us in this defense, but we got carved up in the middle. The tight ends carved us up. the the Cameron Sutton thing was a [ __ ] failure. I love Mike Tomlin in in this team, but that was a failure. Like, that made that made no sense. Um, but Shane, how do they how do they how do they escape that? It’s not always it’s not always the safety’s fault. The safety sometimes has to make a decision. Does he cover down or cover back and help the the corner? And it’s it’s like rolling the dice. It’s it’s there’s ne there’s not not always like a clear decision. It’s usually on in instinct. and sometimes they guess wrong and it’s just one of those things but you know so it’s really tough to say I think I I think Joey Porter had a bad second half of the season those penalties were just just stacked over you know you the penalties I don’t even know how many but I know four four in one game I think four in one game I mean and then there’s other games he had a couple yeah it was terrible so you know if when we’re talking about that, you know, Slate should probably play that outside uh contain, be that outside cornerback. So, he plays Joe Porter plays the other one and then Ramsay’s inside or he plays free safety. Yeah. Or Ramsey could float up and be a, you know, a safety if Beanie’s in there. Uh Elliot is a safety. But where would you put where would you put that Clark in a nickel? Would it would the nickel package be the Clark or Beanie Bishop? It’ll be pretty tight. I mean, I don’t know either either one. I mean, someone’s gonna have to sit, but uh you know, that’s the thing. They’re gonna have they have they have they have a lot they have a that’s a good good a good problem to have. They have talent back there. But Yubaba and Mark, you’re right. You know, Harmon and Cam, you know, Derek Carman and Cam, let’s see how they work together. Uh my biggest concern is, you know, at linebacker Wilson, did he get a little beefier? is and if he did get beefier, does he still have that speed? You know, that closing in on on that run defense, you know, he we know Wilson’s Let me let me ask Let me ask you both the question on on the defense on the outside linebackers. Do you think that they should move TJ Watt around instead of having TJ Watt on one side? No. No change. I think I think they should move TJ Watt around. No. He see it’s like with TJ with TJ and and I’m I’m not they like certain sides like Jack Sawyer likes just like tackles do like offensive tackles they prefer certain sides they like to do a move to a certain side just like you know anybody has a preference to sides you know uh I you know I just that that’s a fact you know can they play both sides absolutely backups they can do it but do they prefer prefer one side over the other. Absolutely. Does Watt prefer that one side over the other? I think he does. I don’t know, Bubba. I’m just asking. I mean, I don’t think he overly h has to like depends depends on what the defensive scheme is, but that there’s been another talking point where TJ isn’t moving around. Is that like overall the big problem? But going back to what Shane said too, I think that yeah, Pton Wilson is getting into his second year where he I think he even knows that it’s now like the feeling of his team and he has to make a contribution to it and play with um with Queen. But fellas, this could be if and I wish Bubba did say it today because then you you find you’d find out where you’d have who’s in that free safety when Ramsay was on the field or who was playing that nickel spot when uh I don’t know the other two quarterbacks were there. But I think the way that Mike Tomman talks about this now, he’s super ecstatic around the secondary because if they can play lights out football and TJ and the fellas are rushing off the ed quicker than normal, right, then this is going to be one of those ones where the the the offense can’t breathe pretty much. But also going back to what Shane said, I think with Joey Porter, man, he Yeah, he’s the the number one number 32 pick or number two pick that Clayool trade and we love him in the story, but I feel like he’s almost going to make it his team, too, doesn’t he? you know, he can’t be making those [ __ ] mistakes. No, he mentally get get there. And it’s one of those things, guys. You know, you go to training camp, you’re seeing drills, you’re seeing alignment, you’re seeing, you know, oh, this guy’s looking good. He’s looking crisp, you know, get getting you’re getting really happy in the fields, the black and gold feels, you know, just seeing the reps. That’s all. Just seeing reps. See reps. But it’s vanilla. Yeah, it’s vanilla. It’s it’s your potato perogi. Not your jalapeno pure perogi. You’re You’re not seeing anything fancy because Oh, I never had a jalapeno perogi. I’ve had a jalapeno popa. They’re pretty. I’ve had a jalapeno popper, too. They’re good. But not a perogi. But you know, when we start when the Steelers start getting into playing the Jets, that’s when you’re going to start seeing these moves, these audible, these defensive audles we haven’t seen. And you’re going to see a layered defense that we haven’t seen. Well, you know they’re coming at a guy who dislocated his toe. So, they’re coming after They’re going to come after him. Who’s that? The first game. Oh, Fields. Fields. Fields dislocated his toe. Yeah. I I’m just looking forward to I think Ramsay I know. Look, Minka Mink Minka said such nice things about our our fan base and team. He gave us a great send off in Miami, but I’m now moved on. I’m like, “Thank you, Minka.” But the the the way that Ramsay is in this defense now, it’s I think it’s going to be like he could be flying around. not like Troy, but like flying around making hits and making plays. Um, and this is where that Joey Porter has the best support network that he’s seen in a lot like in his three years. Um, he’s got to turn into a pro real fast quick. Like he’s got to turn not make mistakes and, you know, go after it. But and I think the secondary is just I feel like this the secondary is so much better than what it [ __ ] was what 20 what 2021 two or whatever, you know, a couple years ago. Just last just last year alone. It’s an upgrade as long as Joey just covers and blankets the number one receiver and doesn’t hold him. If he doesn’t hold him in blankets and actually plays, it’s already an upgrade because then he’s not getting a pass interference call. That right there is huge. Talk about working your your dogs off your you’re he is working his ass off against DK in his train his training camp. Well, I didn’t see any of that today. Good matchup to have. Um, but I I think as well cuz we have to go against the the Bengals twice. We have to go against the Ravens and their offense. So I think these moves in the secondary were around that. Like Bubba said too, the moves were around the Dlineman were to pick it up. And, you know, I think Keo Benton will be one of the BS who’s going to, you know, uh, go crazy on the defense. Uh this year we need we need we need other guys to come up with sacks because last year you know the Steelers used to lead sacks for five years in a row. Last year was a drop off and the year before that was a drop off too. So every year it’s been dropped off. need 50ome, 55, 58, you know, sacks to actually, you know, go back to Blitzburg and actually show fear in these opposing quarterbacks, especially with Lamar and and Burroughs in our conference and then I if we see Kenny Picket, [ __ ] him. I mean, it doesn’t matter because he’s he’s already hurt already. Did he get hurt? Yeah. Yeah. So, I mean, we have to put pressure on the quarterback and and that it is a key and our secondary can come in and just be like a grim reaper with its with its sword and just do what they do what grim reapers do. You know what I mean? I don’t want to get too graphic, but you know what they do. You know, you dancing. Well, you know, I I reckon I don’t I reckon that there’s a play there’s there’s some kind of plan by getting in Darius and Ramsay that trade that they’ve now and they’ve gave Elliot a contract. They’ve now said secondary is really important. We must we must tighten that up. And also I think that’s going to help out TJ W and these guys like your veteran players now TJ W and Cameron Hwood on the line for sure. I just think this we always talk about Steelers being top five defense. Mhm. Barber, it really has to be, right? All the money going into it this year. This money, it has to be it. This defense has to be the top three. Yeah, it’s it’s a lot into it, right? There’s there’s a um actually maybe the top top two or or maybe one and two somewhere somewhere number one or number two is the money that they paid. They paid big money. they have to if they start shutting down the run that’ll be huge and that could show a lot of stuff and then when you get to the playoffs that’s when you know playing November and December when we when that schedule gets a little tougher and we play Baltimore and we play you know Buffalo and and and and the Lions look man if we go three and 0 or two and one I’m happy you know just get us into the game and I said last week when Shane asked those crazy questions Yes, I’ll be upset because I believe we’re all in it to win it and there’s only one way to go is to win it. Yeah. Well, the move this the moves they’ve made DK uh Ramsay for four-year contract. Jonah Smith Rogers this year, it looks like it’s all in. It definitely It definitely looks like it’s all in. They’re number six on Fox Sports pick. They’re number six now. I saw that uh power rankings. Yeah. So, I’ll take that they’re in the top 10 because a couple days ago and some other ranking they were 19. Yeah, definitely. Uh, all right, fellas. Anything else you want to add before we let Shane get back to his holiday? It looks like he’s going for a job interview somewhere on Zoom. Yeah. Did pay the internet. Tie your hotel to give you tie your hotel to give you a booster. It’s It’s a condo. It’s one of those things where they just they they just have adequate internet, you know. It’s just But well, yeah, hotels have slamming good internet, but condos don’t, you know. Oh, I I did not know that. There you go. Thank you. Nick says, “Keep up the grind.” That’s That’s Keep up the grind of us. He must be Russia. Yeah. Happy birthday to Barber again, man. Thank you for spending your birthday with us, bro. You could be anywhere in the world and here you are with Australia and a guy in Myrtle Beach. The only place I’d want to be is with my wife and God bless her. So, um, yeah, she’s like, I gota she got a gift for me. I don’t know if Steelers, I always tell her to give me Steelers, wrestling or comic books or her. I’ll take her first, but you know, there you go. Oh, okay. I had to think about that for like what? Oh, you had 29. Bubba is what’s Oh, I wish I I act like I’m 29, but I also act like I’m 18. But no, I’m I am 54 and uh six years away from 60 and uh I need to start eating right and getting into some Diamond Dallas Page Yoga because uh when the Hulkster passed last week was did not make me happy. So I need to start hitting the weights and eating stuff right again and getting back focus, you know. Yeah, he was an absolute absolute legend. I think everyone just brutal. I Which hit you harder, Aussie or Hulk? I think Aussie hit me harder. Um, I I love I love Aussie because War Pigs is my fantasy football team since 1992. Um, and I love Aussie songs. Um, Tammy Tammy met him like at the War Memorial and I wanted her to tell that story and I had to she didn’t want to. But the the Hogan thing hit me harder on social media because if it wasn’t for him, everybody I know wouldn’t be in business, including myself. That’s true. That’s true. That’s true. You know what I mean? So, yeah. And everybody everybody’s got a Hulk Hogan situation. You know what I mean? Like you know, but you know, you know what hits me worse? Going to training camp and it rains and I can’t get see nothing on my birthday with the when I was younger, right? I watched I I saw this this great memory. It’s just watching Hogan versus Ultimate Warriors was like that was it for me. That kind of [ __ ] Like they’re just both so, you know, theatrical, so [ __ ] like crazy, and he’s like, and then the Hulk is like going, he’s getting crazy. That [ __ ] was that was wrestling to me. That was like the best. The Ultimate Warrior holding up Vince in a in a in a threeon two match when he tagged up with Hogan against Sergeant Slaughter and the Iron Chic and uh out on Casey and Vince is like, “You’re going to go out there and I’ll pay you this.” And when the Ultimate Warrior come back, he Vince fired him right there and then because he was holding Vince up. I think they just had like when I was watching as a kid when I was like, you know, seven years of age or whatever, they just did in in the 90s and that they just had characters, you know? Nothing against these guys now, but the wrestlers now like first name, last name. There’s no [ __ ] character. Back then it was like character after character after character. Yeah. I mean, he he he did stuff in the 80s and he did stuff when he turned bad with the nWo and he’s the only person actually reformed professional wrestling twice and took it out of the uh now don’t get me wrong, Bruno Sam Martino was a legend in his time, but Hogan was the one who did it mainstream, got it on uh he was made the cover of Sports Illustrated, he got on all these TV shows, movies, Rocky. Yeah. So, I mean, and then you know him and Piper, it it took three people to make Wrestlemania the way it was. because it was Vince McMahon, it was, you know, Vince McMahon promoting it, it was Hogan being the force of good and it was Piper being a force of bad. All three in that ingredients, you know, was a success for Wrestlemania one because McMahon put a million dollars on the line and if it didn’t work, he’d have lost it all. All righty. Here’s a question for you. Who’s the in terms of that for for being successful this year in 2025 for the Steelers? Who who is the Hulk Hogan of the team that makes it all work? TJ Watt. TJ Watt right now with the money. I mean, he was out there running around the dummy out there uh on the field. He was actually practicing. It looked like he was going 110 miles an hour. He’s got something to prove because now he got paid and he’s got to jack his sack rating up and he’s got to be the most dominating NFL player because I’m tired of Miles Garrett. I’m tired of people from Cleveland. I’m tired of Chef Zay talking [ __ ] I’m tired. Two weeks. I’ll be back in two weeks. Good. Well, you need to start talking smack because TJ Watt is the Hulk Hogan of our team in 2025. And that’s just, you know, we don’t want people badmouth him when he’s re when he’s collecting his perks at Giant Eagle. Oh, he’s going to go out there and prove he’s going to shut people up. I believe 25 sacks he’s going to win. He’s going to break the record. He’s going to win and he’s going to shut Mark Madden up. He’s going to shut everybody up this year because the Steelers will win a playoff game and they will win a playoff game by a dominating factor. I believe the Ste, this is you heard it here first, a dominating factor, not a field goal by Boswell with three seconds ago. I’m talking a Steeler playoff victory where we kick somebody’s ass and they are so badly beaten they got to go to church to pray for their soul to recover from the ass beaten that they got. Did you know as well like uh there was some fans out there in Facebook land saying TJ what’s too old he’s 30. James Debo Harrison he won 2008 defensive player of the year and the Super Bowl uh interception when he was 30. TJ’s going to be 31. Greatest play ever. So look out because when you’re I think and as a as a bloke too when you get around 30 31 32 something’s changed man. you go into this like not not like midlife crisis, but you want to like do something. I made I made a [ __ ] podcast, right? You want to do something extra. TJ wants to do something extra. You know what I mean? I think like I think he’s ready to go. But Debo, he won Depot of the year 2008 was 30. TJ Watton 2025, he’s going to be 31. I I reckon he’s getting ready and go crazy. He’s a machine. and Aaron Rodgers can just light him up and and just showcase his talents of being a future Hall of Fame quarterback and ending it on I’m telling you what, this is a story. This 2025 team is a storybook finish right here. This could be it. This could be number seven. And and and a lot of people a a lot of people are like, “Ah, you got to believe. You got to believe.” It’s the best chance yet. It’s the best chance yet, I think. Uh Shannon, before we go, are you there? Anything else you want to say? No. Let’s go, Steve. All right. All right, mate. Enjoy your holiday then. Pop it. Shane, you be good for tomorrow. You’re going to be rocked tomorrow. 9:00. You be good. See you guys. Man, it just got worse, didn’t it? I know. It was really good for the middle part. Then the waiter, the waiter cut the lines. All right, I’ll uh I’ll kick him out. All right. Well, thank you, Shane. Enjoy your holiday if you see this and hope you have a good time. Uh Bubba, anything else? No. Uh tomorrow night, uh hopefully Shane gets back on. We have uh JT Toth of Sports Bible coming on as my special guest. And uh I’m not Today’s my only day of celebrating my birthday, but uh I believe I’m going to go try to go to camp again. Um, Friday night is the is the lights in L Trobe. I don’t think I’m gonna be able to go to that because I have to do a SummerSlam pick show and I can’t be everywhere at all times. I wish I could clone myself, but people would be upset. Um, but I I wish I wish everybody I would have got more videos today for everybody. I wish I would have saw some more stuff that I could comment on, but I mean it was a wet day. It was a monsoon. Wasn’t it ever? Oh, that’s my new thing. That’s my new fireworks. Yeah, that’s good. I I I like I said, I got Steen McB doing the Hulk Hogan thing. So, had to tell him I had to show him how to do it. But because uh Yeah, Car has got some videos for you. Oh, thank you. And if anybody gets videos, any anybody that’s going down gets some videos, send them to me. We’ll we’ll we’ll put them on the Steelers uh Dynasty podcast show. So if you got any videos, if you’re going down to Friday Night Lights because I don’t think I’m going. If you do, send me a video. I I’ll do a video showing showcasing the videos that you show me. Big time. All right, we’ll get out of here. And you one big thanks to Shane out there and on his holiday kind enough to come in and do podcast, but um we try and do it Yeah. pretty much every Tuesday, right? And every Tuesday like clockwork as Jable says, uh, see you next Tuesday. Hey, he’s on our team. Yeah, I didn’t get a chance to talk to him either, but I seen him down there. Oh, Ragu, the big Ragu. What’s going on? He just missed the show. Uh, it’s a bit late. Uh, welcome to the show. Uh, but yeah, uh, thank you Bob and mate for coming on and and on your show, too. Let’s get you to 500 very soon. We’re getting close. We’re at uh we’re uh I think at 4 4:30 I’m chipping away at the Titanic iceberg. Um you know, and I couldn’t do this stuff without you, Mark. And uh you know what? I I love doing this stuff on Tuesdays and the Steeler community is like no other. And we’re going to have a hell of a year. So just uh you know, buckle up people because the the the Steelers school bus is going to be we’re going. Yeah, I I definitely like I might need your help when I’m over in Europe because I got to figure some [ __ ] out like where I’m going to be. Turn off the bat signal. This heavy set Batman will be in the We’ll be in the uh the Batmobile, you know. Yeah. Your 8 8:00 p.m. is like my 2 a.m. over there. Well, they’re like seven hours in front in Europe and stuff like that. Okay. Uh so Oh, there you go. Karth got on KDKA behind the lady that we’re interviewing. Oh, there you go. Look out. He’s famous. All right. I saw Mike Pursuda today. I was gonna yell his name like, “Hey, Mike.” But DVE is doing a contest, Mike Pursuda, January 11th to get on the field. So, I’m going to try to apply for it because I’ve been trying to get a hold of Bert the media guy for years and I can’t get a media pass because they probably can get two if get two of them. I can get I think it would be good to actually have fan not journalists but fans of the team have their reaction to what they I wouldn’t be crazy going down there. I would be astute. I wouldn’t be a pain in the ass. I just want to be down on the field just seeing stuff and and I wouldn’t be like but we don’t need to make [ __ ] up. We we can just talk what we see like not be overly objective of like oh Frasier dropped the ball he’s going to be benched. No, I saw today Frzer needs to get better. Here we go. you know, I I I think it’s just well, I mean, just getting on the field and and I know there’s ways to do it, but I I want to do it legally. I don’t want to get arrested. So, you know, I can’t I don’t want to make the paper. But the journalists, too, wouldn’t wouldn’t like like independent, you know, YouTubers or whatever. They don’t podcasters like myself, journalists don’t respect us. Yeah. They they want to keep it all themselves, you know. They think that they do a great job not putting them all down. Yeah. you know, uh, we’ll get there, Bubba. If you get one, get me one, too. I’ll be on I’ll be on the field. Okay. I’ll go I’ll come over in 2027. Well, that’s when we try. That’s when we definitely get it. I’ll be closer to 60, so I’ll get the senior citizen perks. Yeah, you definitely might. All right. Thank you everyone in the chat. Thank you, Car. Thank you, TD.
