On Aug. 30-31, 11 franchised squads will compete in “High Stakes Par 3 Golf,” complete with live music, food trucks and a national broadcast on NBC.
But behind the scenes, the league’s latest strategic play may prove just as impactful: former NCAA standout and social‑media phenom Paige Spiranac officially joined the Grass League front office in May, bringing her marketing savvy and massive fan base into the fold.
In a video shared by Golf Channel on X, Spiranac explained her vision for the upcoming Labor Day event.

“Life moves fast. The people, the money, the hustle. So why should golf be any different? I’m talking fast, fierce, no time for bogeys golf. 175, pins tucked, high stakes. Welcome to the Grass League,” Spiranac said.
“I’m not just a fan. I’m part of the front office now to bring this new generation of golf to the next level. If you want drama, say hello to franchise rivalries. You want personality? Well, we have that in spades. And if you think that this is just a walk in the park, try hitting a high cut to a green surrounded by roaring fans. That’s what the Grass League is all about.”

On May 28, Grass League announced that Spiranac would join its executive team, taking on responsibilities in brand development, content strategy, sponsorship acquisition and audience growth.
Spiranac starred at the University of Arizona before transferring to San Diego State, where she earned All‑Mountain West Conference honors in 2013-14 and helped lead the Aztecs to the program’s first MWC championship in 2015.
After a brief stint on the pro circuit, she pivoted to media to become golf’s top social‑media influencer.

Grass League began last year as a high‑energy alternative to traditional tournament play, featuring two‑person team scrambles on short courses outfitted with stadium lighting.
With over 4 million Instagram followers and more than 449,000 YouTube subscribers, Spiranac’s executive role is designed to turbocharge the Grass League’s digital footprint.
