PING, Titleist and Callaway have all released new irons in July. So what does 2nd Swing Master Fitter Kevin Kraft think of the new PING i240 Irons, the new Callaway X Forged, X Forged Max, Apex Ai150 Irons, and the new 2025 Titleist T-Series Irons?

I do not like the shape of eight irons. They always seem to be in limbo between the seven iron that we do most of our testing with. Right. So, that’s the club that I I kind of base most things on, but then, you know, you go down the bag and there’s this eight iron and it’s like they’ve developed this great looking seven iron and then they’re like, “Well, I don’t really know what to do with this, so I’m just going to throw this shape in there.” And I I traditionally in every set of irons, I pretty much don’t like the eight iron. It is the one club in the set that I don’t like. I don’t understand this at all cuz it’s just the same to me. It’s always the same shape. It is not the same. It is not even close to it. No, no, no, no, no. Eight iron is not a a more lofted seven iron. It has a completely different shape than any seven iron out there. And there’s no way traditionally been that way. There’s no way I’m going to notice that. There’s no way. Oh my goodness. Look at your golf clubs. All right.
