Shout out to my guy first. Shout out to my guy Dave. He was like the the GM of Santa Cruz at the time. But he got me in the door. He got me in the door. So he had me practicing with Santa Cruz. Shout out to my guy. So, I’m practicing when we start. You know, I’ve been there for like a week and a half. I just got back from overseas, so you know, it’s my I’m kind of in shape or whatever. I mean, matter of fact, I’m in great shape. I just got back from overseas, so I’m hanging with the guys and stuff, you know, I’m doing all right. You know, I’m doing all right there. But at this time, Clay rehab, you know, Clay got hurt. He had like the end of his rehab though. He close to coming back. Like he close to this the year they wanted. So, he close to coming back. So, he there all week. He practicing going through You look good. This one I knew. This one I knew right here. You gota be a little crazy to be in the NBA and to be a great like well you got to be crazy to be in the NBA. You got to be crazy to be like a great like and play a all time great all time great. So that’s when I knew like watching him every day prepare like bro he going hard every fresh he barely missing shots. He barely miss. It’s crazy. Like I’m looking at a like I’ve seen a lot of pros and I’ve been around a lot of pros but to see like greatness every day like that man something special. So let me get into the story. Let me get into the story. I just had to speak on Clay greatness. So we uh we practicing right. So we practicing we playing. It’s a good bump all week. So we got a scrimmage at the end of the week. So we get to the scrimmage. You know Clayton had a good week. He went back and he practiced a little bit, you know. He was good. He wasn’t really talking too much, but he was there like it was a good bump. So, we get to the end of the week. So, we get to the scrimmage. It’s like it’s a scrimmage for like real referees. It’s like it’s real like Yeah. like it’s going to be real bump like it’s going to be, you know, referees, a real game type [ __ ] So, we get to plan. So, the first day Clay get out there. He kind of in his world, I guess, he’s having a bad day. in my world. I mean, it’s still Well, he was turning the ball over a little bit. Like, you could tell he wasn’t all the way himself yet. Like, he wasn’t all the way 100% yet. So, the crazy part though, he turning the ball over. He barely missing shots still though. He missing shots. Some good looks. But like, long story short, he had 30 the other day. Like, he had 30, but he was pissed. He was pissed. He got ejected. He left. He kicked the ball out the arena. Like, it’s a closed practice, you know? Just the referees, the coaches, and everybody in there, you know? So, like but like I seen Clay get mad like pissed off like [ __ ] this [ __ ] So I’m thinking like maybe it’s his leg you know like but he really mad because he missing shots and he turned the ball over a little bit but he still finished the day with 30. He ain’t even finished the game but he finished the day with 30 bro. So day go by Clay going we finished playing and [ __ ] like scrimmage still going on. We still playing. So the next day we got another scrimmage. But you know some people take like days they be mad. Just when you know like you’re a real pro. Like because that day it was gone. Like he wasn’t thinking about that that yesterday. Like yesterday was out of his head already. He come back he’s smiling. He don’t even talk. He talking to people though. He’s smiling. He in a great mood bro. I swear like the first five or six shots Clay nailed him. He came out firing dog. Like Clay came out firing. Like I ain’t even lying. Like I think he finished with 60, bro. Like like he had 30 that first day he was pissed. The second day he came back it was 60. Like and it was I think he hit the game free throws but he was I’m talking about these things barely touching the rim. Like they barely touch the rim. It’s bang bang bang. I’m like I’m just sitting there you know me because I’m I’m fresh in here so I ain’t really you know and I have been I just seen Clay. I seen Steph like I watch a lot of their regular games but when you see it up close like that and I’m like bro like this is like this is great. This dude Clay is Clay on another level like the way he was shooting the ball that day. Like and I’m like I ain’t even know what to say. Like I was so caught up in like I wouldn’t even like I was on the bench most of the game like on the second day. Like so I’m just like in awe. Like I’m just watching this today. I’m a whole different color. I’m on the other team. I’m just in awe, bro. Like damn. Like this this what EV look like. 67 sniper like might be 6’8 to be honest. He tall. I’m only 6′ 51 on a good day. 6 foot on a good day. Five. So he look tall as hell to me. So I’m like I don’t know gang. I’m like I’m just in my head I’m like [ __ ] this is like this different. That’s all I was saying. It’s different. That’s all I kept thinking. But like the crazy like moral of the story is I’m like the way he switched it from that like he just put that first day behind him. He was a different person. Like Clay was so mad, bro. I never seen him kick the ball. Like he cursing [ __ ] out like [ __ ] out my field. Then the second day he broke he can’t I’m talking about he literally he brought alcohol for everybody, bro. He brought everybody bottles like he brought bottles like he was a whole another person. He was handing out bottles and I think he had a fight or something going on. Something going on. He had a crib out there Airbnb. He invited everybody over like come vibe and [ __ ] Like the vibe was crazy. Like but I was just like I was more amazed like with the way he just the way he just flipped that switch and like turned to a whole another person. That was like what I was amazed about. Like how he could put that behind him so fast and get back to the game. Like I was just like, man, like to be a pro. Like you got to be you got to be like I was a pro overseas like you know like to get to the NBA you got to be a little crazy. Like I ain’t gonna lie. That’s one thing I can tell like Clay was a little crazy. Like And even like the other great like I’d have been around like dudes that like super nice and like well not a lot but I watched work out crazy JP I worked out with JP he was on like every shot he miss he pissed like me I’m on to the next shot trying to get right he pissed you know I’m like it’s like you working out with dudes like that that really could shoot the ball like them dudes them dudes barely missing workouts bro like it’s kind of demoralizing like like when I was working out with JP I kind of I ain’t the best shooter in the world. I can shoot a little bit, but it was kind of demoralizing because like this [ __ ] ain’t missing a lot of shots in the gym. Like I’m like [ __ ] I know he trying to get through the workout. So I’m trying to now him in my head a little bit. I got to make them. But like that’s that’s what greatness look like. That’s I realize that’s what greatness look like, bro. Like bro, you got to be a little insane. Like you got to really like man like them dudes love their craft. Like I mean I love my craft but like they love it on a whole another level. Like and they like they go like when people talk about KD another one I think KD go insane behind his basketball if he ain’t have basketball like cuz he really like he in that lab he in that lab and I don’t even know if Clay he got to be in that lab a lot but it’s just that day like that just opened my eyes. I ain’t gonna lie. I went home. I’m just thinking myself like I just watched him got 60. Like they got on camera too. It was on like they recorded it was recording like but I’m like this 60 looked crazy cuz I’ve seen him the day before how mad he was at 30 even though he was turning over and stuff. He was mad as hell at the 30 because he was turning over and he was missing shots. But he put that like man this year Golden State Warriors won the championship. I’m like, he different. I’m like to myself made me a believer that day. Like you 100% made me believe that I give a lot of people like that and he a good off the court. He cool as hell. He I mean, he wasn’t like really talking a lot, but he wasn’t super Hollywood. Like, he invited everybody to his house after it was good vibes. It was, you know, and it’s a G- League team. Like, you know, he invited like he’s still Clay at the end of the day. I don’t care if he was down there rehabing. He still plays. Yeah. So, that’s my crazy story. But man, y’all like this video, subscribe to the channel, and I got more I got hell of stories actually, bro. Like, me just being LA, me being around me being around with my bros like that was in the league like that was actually in the league with the war. So, I’m going be coming with him. But this a story I had to get off like cuz I I saw the picture and I’m like damn I remember that day so clearly, bro. Like I remember this day clearly. Like Clay was frying. Like he was literally frying, bro. Like not touching the real misses. Like and I think I’d have been to some of Clay crazy performances in like at Oracle but bleach was watching them. When you on like when I was like on that bench right next to it like guess of course I can say and he get on the floor for a little while and seeing that like [ __ ] this how he get [ __ ] off like he really got a real ratchet.
