GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina women’s golf team will compete in 10 total events, including hosting a tournament in the fall and spring during the 2025-26 season director of golf/head coach Kevin Williams announced Wednesday.
The Pirates, who narrowly missed the NCAA Regionals a year ago, get the season underway playing at the prestigious Golfweek Fall Challenge at Pawley’s Island, S.C. (Sept-7-9) before going coming back to North Carolina for the Tot Hill Farms Invitational in Asheboro (Sept. 29-30)
Their first hosting event is at the Pirate Collegiate Classic, which will be held Oct. 6 and 7 at the Greenville Country Club before closing out the fall with the Edisto Island Intercollegiate (Oct. 27-28) in Edisto Island, S.C.
“Our schedule offers an exciting opportunity featuring a balanced mix of competition levels,” Williams said. “It provides a valuable chance to learn how to perform in contention while also testing ourselves against some highly ranked teams. It is very important to us to provide two home tournaments each year so that all our student-athletes get a chance to compete in front of friends and family. Our team looks forward each year in hosting tournaments at the Greenville CC in the fall and Ironwood G&CC in the spring.”
The spring schedule kicks off at the UCF Challenge (Jan. 25-27) in Orlando, Fla., followed by the Daniel Island Intercollegiate (March 2-3) in Daniel Island, S.C. before the Pirates make a return trip to the Palmetto state for the Briars Creek Invitational (March 16-17) in Spring Island. Next up is the City of Oaks Collegiate (March 22-24) in Raleigh before returning home to host the Ironwood Invitational (April 5-7) to close out the regular season,
The 2025 American Conference Championships will be held at the Southern Hills Plantation in Brooksville, Fla. (April 20-22), with the NCAA Regionals set for May 11-13 at six different host sites across the country, The NCAA Championship will be played at the Champions Course at Omni La Costa Resort and Spa from May 22-27 in Carlsbad, Calif.
ECU returns seven players from a year ago in graduate senior Marta Perez, seniors Macie Burcham and Danielle Modder, juniors Nicole Nash and Ella Stalvey, along with sophomores Lisa Forss and Karsyn Roberts. The Pirates also welcome in two freshmen in Madison Rizzo and Isabella Taylor-Stokes to round out the roster.
