It was fun and a throwback to what made Happy Madison.

Sandlers early movies were funny because they were stupid and silly. Plot and story were secondary concerns.

Billy Madison is a stupid, stupid movie that I will love forever because it captured the comedy of the time so well.

This wasn’t a good movie in the objective sense. But I enjoyed watching it and thats what makes it good for me.

Is there a way to translate to what that could’ve been at the box office?

Just watched it last night. Great sequel and well deserved praise. Though I didn’t care for the editing which felt like the pacing was off especially at the beginning it felt way too rushed and clunky. And I loved all the cameos but in hindsight they did seem to carry much of the film. Still I think most golfers will love it but if you’re dragging someone along to watch it that doesnt golf they may be confused when you’re shouting out a bunch of names at the movie. But that might just have been the booze. I definitely had a few swigs out of the tv remote and then the cuckoo clock.

It’s a fun movie. It’s not going to win an Oscar, but it exceeded my expectations.

I was going to skip it until independently hearing from multiple people that it was pretty good. My expectations are low, but now I’m getting a bit excited.

  6. I loved it. Thought it was a worthy, modern successor to the first.

I thought I read articles that was saying this movie was a dump.

I watched it and was super pleased with all the cameo’s and the jokes. Its an Adam Sandler movie, its not going to be a movie of the year or anything but it’ll make you happy for 2 hours.

I loved it . Goofy comedy with heart and some fantastic cameos. It captured the spirit and feel of the first and kept it fresh for a sequel.

I honestly dont even know how this is sitting at 60% on rotten tomatoes.

It was bad. Just objectively bad.

Adam Sandler may have been better served to get a few more actual actors instead of cramming 50 celebrity Cameos into it. The lack of continuity between scenes and the inability of the majority of the people in this movie to act made this movie almost unwatchable near the end. Which is sad, because the start of the movie really wasn’t that bad. It was just quick to devolve into chaos.

It’s all subjective, though, so if others liked it, that’s great! For me , 1 watch was more than enough.

  10. Perfect sequel. The movie didn’t take itself seriously and the throwbacks were hilarious.

Did anyone else feel that having real pros in the movie was a negative? I would rather have actors who can act playing fictional pros than the real pros, it just felt cringe having them.

One of the worst movies I have ever seen, but thats okay. Some of Scotties bits were funny and so was Stiller.

Movie was nostalgic and fun, hated the stupid maxi stuff at the end, that ruined what was a decent movie in my opinion. That was my only sour grapes about the entire thing.

1st half of the movie was bad, 2nd half was decent
