Donald Trump said that there is another golfer in the family who is even more talented than his granddaughter, Kai Trump, during Tuesday’s opening of his brand new golf course in Scotland, where he was trolled by bagpipes causing an awkward silence.

It comes after it emerged he made his feelings clear on her choice of college to continue her golf career. The U.S. President was on hand to cut the ribbon at his second 18-hole course at Trump International near Aberdeen, where he was flanked by his two eldest sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, for the memorable occasion.

Just a few moments before, Trump said that stopping wars is “much more important than playing golf” as he prepared to head back to DC to “put out fires” following his recent trip, putting to bed some fears that he may hold the sport in higher regard than his presidential duties.

However, it wasn’t the only eye-catching statement the president made at the ceremony. While paying credit to his eldest son, Donald Jr., the politician referenced the talented golfers he has in his family.

Most notable of those is the 47-year-old’s eldest daughter Kai, 18, who last year committed to playing golf for the University of Miami in 2026 and has already competed in a number of amateur tournaments this year.

However, despite his constant praise for the teenager’s impressive rise, President Trump believes there is someone else in the bloodline who is set to be an even bigger superstar.

“[I want to thank] my son, Don, for being with us all the way. He’s always been with us and he’s a great guy,” Trump began. “He’s got some great golfers in the family – Kai, and he’s got one right over there, that little one,” he continued, pointing out 11-year-old Chloe Trump.

“She may be one of the most talented in the whole family. She’s something special. That’s Chloe, you’ll be reading about her someday, walking down the 18th hole of some great course, I think. She’s very talented, actually.”

Trump’s comments came as a huge surprise given Kai’s recent achievements, which include finishing tied for third on the Srixon Medalist Tour as recently as July 17, but it appears he already thinks even more highly of her younger sister, Chloe.

However, the 11-year-old has already been spotted swinging a few clubs alongside her sister on the greens. Their mom, Vanessa Trump, uploaded a video of the pair in sync last summer, captioning the post: “My two gold super stars.”

Last month, Kai herself boasted her younger sister’s skills, posting a clip of the youngster to her Instagram Story where she can be seen showing off her impressive swing.

As for the teenager herself, she recently shared during an interview with FOX News Digital how her relationship with her grandfather helped influence her decision on which college to attend.

“Me and him are very close, and we bond over golf,” she told the outlet. “So, he influenced me a lot with golf, especially when I was talking about schools and colleges. He loved that I was going to Miami because Trump Doral was right there as well, so he’s influenced me a lot with golf.”
