We get to see Max Fried tonight and the question is, do we see the Max Fried who made his most previous start are the ones leading into it because as we know when he’s on, he’s special , that was a little out of the ordinary for him and Baltimore gave up a three run homer and lost four to nothing. But here’s a case in point where the offense didn’t do enough to help him cover up that home run and Max outside of the first couple of three starts that he had in the season, which were really rugged. His, er, a is about 2.2 since and I expect us to see that version of him tonight. First of three between the Braves and the Tigers digging in from the right side is matt Veering Detroit comes in three games under 511 games back in the American League central, sends a ground ball to short arc is there and sends it across the diamond for out. Number one. Baz is a 274 hitter overall, but he’s been at his best against left. He’s a 351 average, both of his home runs have come against South Paws this year swinging in a and gets the strikeout for out number two. So two down here early on for Max Freed and that brings 35 year old mark to the plate. So a line drive to right center field, that’s a base hit over the field on a couple of skips is adam Duval singles sharply to right center two out single for Marina brings up one of the Tigers hottest hitters. It’s Riley Green 293 with four home runs and 14 driven in can on the run and ground ball to the right side on a full count pitch as he has it and takes it over the first to close the first no runs to hit one left on Detroit, nothing. Atlanta, nothing. And the Braves come to the plate in the bottom of the first inning right hander 24 years old out of Gainesville, Georgia 13th round pick of the Brewers in 18 at a North Hall high school just up the road a bit has some friends and family in the ballpark tonight. Estimated over 50 people. And so here Marcel Ozuna line in the 32 and Marcel sends it deep to right center field green back. It’s over his head and one hops the wall. Ozuna will glide into second with a two out double into the gap in right center. Marcel got shut out yesterday, snapped his short hitting streak that he had working but he picks up where he left off, what, a year he’s having triple crown type numbers. Indeed. Matt Olson, who’s riding a 10 game streak and that 10 games, Olson’s homer twice, he’s hitting over 400. He swings and pops it up into shallow right field veering, waving his arms. He’ll come into right center and make the catch Olsen pops out Osuna’s double, he’s stranded at second. Does no harm. We head to the second inning in Atlanta. Braves still looking for some offense. Tiger. Nothing braves, not Riley who’s homered in three straight games. And in that span, six for 10 is really heating up and he sends a high fly ball deep to right field, barely back at the wall. It’s over his head off the Pat Riley Motors into second. It’s a leadoff double and the Braves are in business here in the second. That ball came flying off the bat that at the time when the wind died and hit below the bricks and off the top of the padding. Riley continues his hot streak and he’s in scoring position for Duva swing and a miss strike three. He went change up and got his first strike out of the game against really struggled against right handers two down here’s fourth wall and that strike three pinpoint slider from Olson and the Braves miss an opportunity after the Riley lead off double two Ks. Now for Olson no runs a hit one left on through two innings of play. Tigers. Nothing braves nothing as we move to the top of the fourth inning. Fried allowed a hit in the first and that’s been it for the Tigers so far. Riley Green zero for one with a ground out to second. There’s ball four. Riley Green is on second base runner for the Tigers comes on a two out full pitch walk to Riley Green one on and two out for right side. That’s a base hit. Vintage Riley Green in the third runners at the corners two down against free when Max was retiring those nine in a row, one of the things that was consistent was he was getting ahead in the count and the last two hitters he has not facing the six hole hitter, Justin Henry Malloy, he threw in ball four a curveball and the bases are loaded for the left on left matchup with cold Keith. The bases are loaded. There are two away and he chops one up the middle Ozzie gathers and sat arms to first and that will end a dangerous fourth inning for the Tigers. No runs on one hit, no errors and they leave the bases loaded. We go to the bottom of the fifth inning. A little offense will be nice. No score. He’s used to this. 00 continues to get well, zero run support swinging to Miss Slider is dialed in the best slider we have seen from Olson in several starts. It is sharp and it is down and away from a white. Oh man. Another great change up. These guys are throwing disappearing changeups free and five on the night for batting ninth in the order. He’s zero for his last 11 swinging a line drive to left field base hit with two out at zero for 11. Jared Kelk has a base hit tonight. He’s one for two and has swiped the bag big pitch for Olson 86 of the night swing and a miss. He got him with the slider down and in knick strikes out and with a single mixed in between strikeouts. Two and three strikes out the side. We head to the sixth inning in Atlanta first and second. Nobody out for Riley Green. Green has grounded out and walked and no score but two on nobody out pumped into right field. That’s a base hit is around third. There is the first one of the ball game. Riley Green left on left. It is one nothing tigers, Riley Green again. The right guy at the plate lines it into right field. Abana comes around to score. Riley had good swings on those breaking pitch. That was not where he located it. How his swing can cover that spot is interesting, but it’s fun to watch the line drive single to write his last time up runner from second bolts now stops in the pitch. Swung on a miss down on strikes after kind of looked like he was going to try to steal third and Then stop. That may have distracted strikeout number six for Max. And here comes Brian Snitker, the line for Max free Jesse for him comes in the game with two on including one in scoring position. Opponents hitting just two for 32 against him. That’s best in major league baseball with opponents in scoring position. Jesse to work some of his magic here against Justin. Henry Malloy swung on and missed struck him out. That’s a big out for Jesse two down and will bring up. He is grounded out to Ozzie at second base twice tonight. The 32 got him looking on the inside corner, two seamer that backed up a Greg Maddox. That was a beauty by Jesse. One run on two hits. Let’s get some runs. Graves trail one to nothing. Detroit with a 10 lead as we go to the bottom of the seventh new pitcher for the Tigers. We go to the bottom of the seventh. Will Vest will come on right hander one on 1341. Er A this is his 30th appearance. Riley is one for two with a double and the Braves with a good start against the Tigers bullpen. Austin has his second double of the night. What a stretch for him over the last four days. He’s homered in his last three games and now he’s doubled twice tonight. So now the tying run 90 ft away , the infield in for Detroit and an opportunity for, for wall now zero for two with a couple of strikeouts. The Braves can scratch one across here in the seventh inning. This one in play to the right side for just called up today from AAA has Titus of what a pace to finally bring Riley home after the leadoff double hanging slider on the inside part, he bounced it through the right side out away. We’re tied at one as we go to the bottom of the eighth in Atlanta. Here’s Ozzie Aldis. Ozzie is zero for three albes again batting from his weaker left side. Ozzie Albies, he lifts it high, he lifts it deep, go into the chop House and Atlanta leads it. He got something to turn on and he snapped that zero for 15 in grand style connecting on a fastball. And as you said, hit it out in the beer good place to land man up second deck of the House who got the crowd in 21 lead for the home team and Atlanta has its first lead of the game 2 to 1. Braves as we head to the ninth bases empty. Two down. Braves with a 21 lead win. Seal Perez pinch hitting Perez hitting in Kreidler spot. Perez has been swinging a hot bat for Detroit Jimenez delivers and the Braves take game number one from Detroit. Thanks to a go ahead home run in the eighth and they can shoot off the fireworks 39th win of the season for the Braves. And that was a big one and the Braves with the fifth home run of the season for Alvis able to pull ahead in the eighth inning and pull off the victory.

Comeback good Olson with poor run support🙌🙌
FFS Detroit! LAME!
Must be nice to have an MLB baseball team that can consistently hit and support good pitching..A GM who fields solid contending teams, finds and develops MLB talent. And an owner who is committed to win and is willing to spend to do it.
Bases Loaded and Keith swings at the first pitch??? Where is the coaching here? Come on as soon as that happened I knew the baseball gods would give Atlanta the win. Vest and Miller need to be sent packing! They only give up runs, its the only thing they can do! Unbelievable!
Fried's face when getring the hook… Can't ever get any run support smh
Another anemic performance from the Braves offense vs a pitcher who had been AWFUL lately
GO, Braves!!
El Gran Orso carried the Braves through several serious injuries. Olsen and AR need to get hot. Is it time for Alex to work his magic and find an outfielder or two?
