[Music] if you’ve ever watched the sport of Jiu-Jitsu you will understand that there is a gigantic elephant in the room for the people that do the sport and why they look unbelievably jacked and yet they do all this cardio um there’s some things that you should probably know before trying to emulate these people before you go down a path of no return so the gigantic elephant in the room that nobody thinks is a secret is that anabolics are used within the sport of Jiu-Jitsu and for the gross majority of federations it is largely untested I think the ibjjf tests black belt world champions it used to be every other Champion but now I believe it’s every gold medalist in the black belt divisions and really what they’re saying there is it’s an in intelligence test you just come off a couple weeks beforehand or you just duck the podium all together and you claim the victory without providing a a positive test um and so people see this information online and they think well oh well maybe maybe I have to do it maybe it’s necessary and so what we’re going to do today go through a couple of pros and cons from somebody who does actively use anabolics um so that you guys have a good understanding about what you’re really getting into uh when you’re endeavoring down some sort of path um everybody seems to be very hush hush about this and very taboo about this it’s kind of stupid because the information should be readily available um especially from people who are actually within the sport not just these nerds with clipboards that say oh actually the science says this I’m going to give you Real World Experience instead um so the reason I decided to do it initially uh was after 10 years of weightlifting I was always interested in it and I basically gave myself that very base limited to see what I could achieve naturally now people are going to be for or against this argument it’s not your decision so I don’t really need the opinion but that was my very uh that was my minimal effective dose for me to see what I was capable of in a 10-year time span um this also neatly coincided with the fact that I used to be in a tested sport in rugby league I was subject to eight or nine us tests I believe uh two of which were blood and then nine of which or all of them were urine sometimes they were urine and blood samples just to be sure um and they’re they’re pretty stringent and I passed all them with flying colors so I can be verified that I didn’t take anything throughout that career obviously because it’s illegal in the sport um I didn’t plan on taking it for jiujitsu I was taking it um whilst doing it I think I started when I was a blue belt um but it was never to get an edge in Jitsu was literally out of just pure curiosity I did a lot of reading into the um the limitations of natural testosterone in terms of uh some outside factors of uh sedentary Lifestyles um food quality uh the way that we live the blue lights that are all around us the endocrine disruptors the microplastics in food and a lot of other um factors there’s a good book uh I forget the name of it she was on Joe Rogan a couple of times she talks about microplastics and taint size of shrinking and but she was pretty influential in me uncovering a lot of this stuff so unfortunately I can’t recommend it to you cuz I’m being a [ __ ] smooth head but here we are so anyway what what are the pros and cons now obviously everybody’s going to point towards the massive benefits you’re going to get an increase in muscle mass you’re going to get an increase um in strength you’re going to get an increase in training frequency because you’re going to recover a lot faster um in some instances your sleep will get a lot better um your overall ability to maintain muscle Mass without weightlifting will be significantly increased your muscle protein synthesis will be significantly increased um there’s a lot of very important factors that go into this that I’m not going to pretend like I’m a scientist and go into I know in a very rudimentary understanding and again I’m not a doctor I’m not a scientist so take this all with a gigantic grain of salt um but there are there are obvious things that you would gain uh from doing it now this isn’t me saying that you should do it this is just merely an observation of the pros and cons that I’ve experienced um throughout my time and hopefully this actually dissuades uh a lot of individuals from even thinking about it because what most people don’t understand is that it’s actually uh much larger of a decision than they give it credit for in the very beginning I’ve had thousands of conversations not even a joke thousands of conversations with younger individuals between the ages of 16 sometimes even they bring 14 and 15 which is terrifying uh all the way up into their mid 20s about whether they should do it or not and every single time I say no no don’t do it reason being um is that they haven’t got the necessary education to make a good decision they do not understand that it is a lifelong decision uh typically they are taking it as a result of wanting some sort of uh shortcut to a means to an end they’re very outcome fixated on their goal and they’re only thinking about their goal in terms of a 12we timeline so it’s a very short window where they’re probably going to do things that cannot be maintained for a long period of time uh which means the side effects are heightened to a massive degree uh it means their endocrine system’s going to get absolutely punished it means that their estrogen estrog progesterone and all those other things are going to be risen at the same at a much higher rate than if they were to take a much more moderate dose um and all of the other cost benefits um or costs associated with that rather um most of the time they haven’t thought it through that if they are going to be playing with this sort of subject um that it’s going to have to be a life decision and I think that’s the thing that I catch most people up on when I push a little bit deeper of the reasons as to why they want to do it they haven’t really thought it all the way through and then so obviously I dissuade them from doing it um now even if somebody came to me with all the right information they could speak to me on an educated level about it they said look I’ve I’ve done the cost analysis and I think it’s going to be the right thing for me um again I’m not a doctor I’m not a scientist I can’t tell you what’s going to be right for you and so if you were to go down the path um with a good education around all the possible negatives and all the drawbacks and you still wanted to go forwards I’m not the one that would be convincing you to do it otherwise it would have to come from an endocrinologist or a doctor or some sort of professional uh within that realm where you go through all the checks and balances you get your blood work done every 3 to 4 months at a bare minimum to check your levels uh you get regular assessments from people I get regular assessments from um a biochemist uh now he’s not an endocrinologist or anything like that but he works with a lot of bodybuilders and he works with a lot of performance-enhanced athletes and so he’s got a very good understanding of the pharmacokinetics of everything and how they all work and the things to look out for very early in the piece so that you can get them um in a in a preventative manner rather than a Curative Manner and the age old adage is the pound of um oh sorry an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure and so unless you’re willing to take all of those steps into account and go through all the right means and all the right methods well then you’re putting yourself at a significant disadvantage rather than an advantage people think that it’s just this magical thing where you put something in your leg and then automatically you get better at everything that’s not the case um some individuals are privy to the mental health side of things that really starts to take a toll um at elevated doses of testosterone far above natural levels you could experience forms of aggression you could experience forms of sadness you could experience forms of extreme frustration levels um you start to get this more down the line of uh the Exotics rather rather than just the the traditional versions and so people start to experiment with them and they start to go down that path and that starts to get very sticky very quickly and so basically the whole idea is that if you’re not educated enough um on what you’re actually doing to your body don’t do it if you haven’t read enough data if you haven’t gone to the correct um experts or you haven’t consulted with somebody who knows a lot more than you do even if you have I would still advise against it I would dissuade you from going down that path um obviously you are free at your own will to make your own decisions um but from somebody who has experience in doing the things that you are wanting to do I would advise heavily against it and now this isn’t some [ __ ] stupid third layer chess where I’m stopping my competitors from using steroids and like trying trying to e out some victories there’s um many athletes in the sport that are extremely good that either are or claim to be natural um we’re obviously not going to be able to decide one way or the other um whichever they are but if they are by all means good for them uh if they’re not they’re lying turds and they should be outed um but yeah don’t don’t think that you have to do it don’t think it’s necessary um I made the decision based on a lot of criteria it took me about 12 months to actually make the decision um based on a lot of criteria of my own accord going through all the checks and balances making sure I was on the right path um with the right people in the right rooms and making sure I was dotting all the eyes Crossing all the te’s making sure I was actually in a position um to measure it effectively and not just do it on a whim and not just make a decision on a whim like I said I waited 10 years uh or at least I gave myself a decade window of which I would not do anything um truth to be told I don’t actually know where I came up with that idea whatsoever I just decided as a young kid that I was going to stay away from it for at least 10 years and see what I could do in the lifting capacity um completely naturally and see how I could see where I could end up and um that was my decision that’s not to say that you guys have to follow the same criteria um it’s not to say that I’m some Bastion of uh of of knowledge in these areas um again not a doctor not a scientist this is just my personal experience and what I’ve decided to do um don’t take this as advice don’t take this as oh I should follow what he’s doing because he’s some sort some sort of role model that’s not what this video is it’s just merely a pros and cons of things you probably haven’t thought about all that seriously um and that you you need to take a fair bit seriously because it is a lifelong decision there are a myriad of negative Health side effects that you could run into if you are uneducated unaware not getting the right consultation from the right individuals and I’ve seen a lot of horror stories come to fruition um because of this lack of intelligence and this lack of information um and this lack of due diligence I should say and so a lot of the rumors around at least the gym culture where I came from from at least from Jiu-Jitsu where I am now even the jokes around it at like 17 18 years of age there’s a lot of kids that joke oh well I just need that that’s my missing piece it isn’t and you’re probably doing yourself a disservice by thinking that that is the case um and you’re also probably not willing to come to the estimation that it’s a lot bigger of a decision than you believe that it actually is so hopefully like I said at the start of this video it’s uh this this serves to actually dissuade you from even thinking about the idea most of you don’t need it uh most of you will never be in a position where it should even be a decision that you’re even considering um and even if you are considering I would say that you’re not doing it correctly because you’re not going to the ends um or the me going to the means that you need to that would requisite you making that decision at the very end of the day um look again you’re of your own free will you can make your own choices but take someone’s advice um with experience in this exact field in this exact act subject who’s doing a sport that you may or may not be doing and then um allow that to hopefully give you some more information uh about making a costly mistake that you could end up making I need to be on the gear you’re far too physically bankrupt to even consider it make a difference well your L your ligaments and tendons are so weak that if you increase your muscle strength just blow off the blow off the hinges you can’t afford to have more strength you’ll just blow everything apart so yeah I don’t think it’s a good idea for you in line with the advice of the video see that non-c contention advice camera’s going to go off authenticity yeah [Laughter] 100% for

How do you do this safely and where do you go to get steroids so you know they are safe as well. I want to go on TRT. I was going to contact a med spa.
Josh what if im at my 35 years old , i compete in my national bjj tournament in my country , i just want to have a better recovery and do the minimun posible but i want to feel a bit younger in terms of recovery and performance , i train for times a week and lift two times and im starting to consider it for the next few years
What about do it after 40 years old just to improve your live youth
Nah. You say you started using steroids out of curiosity, but didn't explain why youve continued using them. Bit of an arsehole really
Out of curiosity ? 😂
I have very strong suspicion as to who that biochemist is… 😂
Enjoy the cardiomyopathy
Gordon Ryan has been admitting it for years. Good on you for coming out with it. I don’t know why this day and age people don’t just say it
People act like steroids are an automatic cheat code. You still have to develop the skill. I mean, i could take everything, and i still will not be able to hit a 90 mph fastball.
Josh do you have your own bjj or mma school in Australia? What do you charge for 1 on 1 lessons per hour?
finding real injectable steroids online is tough, but Steroxxe always have clean and powerful gear
I ordered injectable anabolic steroids from steroxxe and the quality blew me away. No underdosed crap
Injectable steroids from Steroxxe are the real deal. You actually feel the difference within days
can confirm: Steroxxe injectable anabolic steroids are 100% real and very effective
I trust Steroxxe because they back their injectable steroids with a guarantee, rare to find that level of confidence.
every injectable steroid I’ve bought from steroxxe came in discreet packaging and worked exactly as it should
Do the side effects include repeating yourself why not mentioning the side effects?
The transparency is causing the kids to use it. Saying “don’t do it” has never worked with teenagers, they are monkey see monkey do. The modern world is riddled with insecurities, hence every bloke feeling he needs to juice to compete on a Tuesday night against every other bloke juicing on the mats. Tap, learn and enjoy the cardio which will help you see your grandkids grow up, don’t sacrifice them for the sake of feeling insecure around juiced up excuse makers
Appreciate the honesty, but coming off a few weeks before won't make you pass a sports specific urine analysis. The half lives and metabolites they test anabolics N hgh for stay in your system for months and certain compounds longer.
Pure curiosity ha ha what a joker!
I understand why you made this video Josh but I feel like talking about it at all is only gonna encourage use . To give the excuse that “ well they’re gonna do it anyways so at least they have proper knowledge” is complete speculation . It ironically will only encourage them to take it because if you’re instructing about it then they think you’re condoning it . Even though you said clearly several times for them not to do so . They will always think they’re the exception and know what they’re doing so it’s ok for them
I think what doesn't help is that you can see the positives openly but the side effects are mostly hidden they deal with them behind closed doors and like to play it pretending they have none while suffering they will never mention it to the guys at the gym that lets be honest they are trying to impress.
Thank you for being open about this. I respect that for sure, liked and subscribed!
Idk which is worse, steroids for sports or males competing against females. Congrats for talking about it so openly.
It’s because you’re donkey brained and need a huge edge to win
It’s not worth it. If you have to take steroids you’re 100% pathetic. Your basically saying I can’t do this clean so let’s cheat
My levels were really low, low 200s. Got on testosterone 40 mg 2-3x a week (if I remember) sub-q and that gets me to be where I normally should be. Having kids does have some effect in lowering my testosterone. It isn't related just to age. It wasn't until having kids that I felt symptomatic with the low levels and needed help. There's pheromones and things we don't have an understanding about at play. Microplastics, endocrine disrupters, etc. I'm very open about what I take and why. I'm considered "old" for this sport.
Your favorite anti-gear anti-ped athlete is actually on gear, you would be surprised, even if they don't obviously look "juicy".
"Nerds with clipboards", then proceeds to be a nerd with a clipboard. 🙄
So Josh Saunders is a Nazi and a cheater too?
lol.
Have no issue with steroids for BJJ to the extent there are tested competitions for those that want to compete natural. Of course, that would be burdensome and expensive and thus impractical, so I think pretty much natural BJJ is fucked.
For all the haters hating, you have to give the man credit for bucking the trend and being straight up about it.
Only thing I’d have wanted is a little bit more of the actual experience you had of taking it, and hearing some of the positives and negatives you experienced.
The pros and cons are a good PSA, but your lived experience would have been awesome
Imagine parents who want their kids to do some sport, then the kids start looking up to champions that destroy themselves with steroids ?
Imagine that all sports were like this ? Mad
I could tell you are on steroids by your crazy body hair. Steroids makes your body very hairy 😂, I have seen it happen with people I know
My sober date is 22.04.2023. I have buddies who PEDs keep making them relapse more than just one drink of alcohol. It has to be hard to be a recovering alcoholic in professional sports.
Is it possible to compete at the highest levels and win? More over, is the one at the top who claim to be clean, should we believe that?
give us your recipe list!!!!
he doesnt want others to take it because he wants to dominate the division!!!
I don't think people fully realize the side effects of steroids and TRT. It changes your brain, the way you think, your sexuality. It makes you rash, arrogant, sexually perverted, and stupid.
Bench 160kg
Dead 260kg
Bentover row 120kg
30 years old started at 63kg body weight. Built to 110kg with 15% body fat. Never took roids or sups in my life…
You need a mirror. Not steroids
Stop trying to normalize cheating. Competitive sports should be about discipline, not shortcuts.
