I do that but I’ve got five minute limit. very music at the end. We are here to stand in solidarity not only against Trump but against everything he and his politics stand for. We are here to stand against his obliteration of human rights, of the rights of LGBTQIA plus people, of the rights of uh people on Medicaid, of the rights stood up to the bully that Donald Trump is, and to this day they are still standing up to that bully. Just give me the residents a big round of applause. The next speaker is Mike, the secretary of Dundee Fed Council. We are paying 14.5 million pounds for his security for his private working visit. That sounds like an oxymoron to me where he’s using star as a human seal shield as he enriches himself. That these people are using these starving people. They were penned like cattle in fences made to crawl for bits of food that a father and we here in the comfort of and being provided with what we eat every day must not forget what’s being carried out in the name of humanity. And it is such a shame that today the United Kingdom’s government is proclaiming that as yes, there is starvation, there is hunger, and we will parachute down aid. All they have to do is demand from Netanyahu, open the borders, let the aid in, let them eat of 30 million. So this visit alone could have paid for half of that budget. And the thing is they apparently can’t financially and politically support. In fact, without US backing, Israel could have been defeated in its recent conflict with Iran. So true, the force behind the humanitarian crisis, which is clearly led and shielded by United States with hundreds of thousands of protests, sorry, hundreds of thousands of Palestinians struggling for basic survival. I’m Christ. [Music] Trump Trump out Trump Trump out. Donald, hear a shout. All of Scotland want you out. Donald, hear a shout. All of you out. You’re here today for this anti-shot protest in the middle of Abedine. Tell me why you’re here today. So, I’m here in Abedine to stand in solidarity with people from Abedine, from Abodine, and actually from across the northeast of Scotland who are saying that Trump is not welcome here. He is not welcome in Scotland. He’s certainly not welcome in Abedenhshire. We know that he is a convicted felon. He’s convicted of many offenses in the United States and he has other uh sexual offense cases hanging over him as we speak. We also know that all of the promises that he has repeatedly made to Scotland have come to nothing. We haven’t seen the development of jobs or of houses to the numbers that that he promised when he opened his first golf course in Abdinia a few years ago. And we know that the things that he’s done since as president has seen people stripped of their dignity and rights. It seen he’s, you know, he’s called for the annexation of of the West Bank and to to to build an a a glorified uh holiday resort. This is ethnic cleansing that he’s calling for. And I think it’s really really important that in Scotland we stand up and say Trump is not welcome here. His politics are not welcome here. We stand for everything he opposes. We stand for the rights of people. We stand for the rights of of the people of Gaza or of Palestine. And it’s important that we we make our views known. I mean, I I think it’s it’s questionable whether the US is still the most powerful country in the world. So So I I think there’s a question over that. But I think actions matter and courting, speaking to to somebody, welcoming him, somebody like Trump to to Scotland says something about the kind of politics that the Scottish government is is is willing to engage in. And that’s just not the kind of politics that we should be willing to engage in as a country who stands up for human rights, as a country who should stand up for dignity for all, as a country who should stand against war crimes. you know, we we we don’t accept that just because he’s a president he’s the president of another state, he should be welcomed with open arms. There are plenty of of leaders of of countries around the world that we would condemn outright that the Scottish government would have no problem condemning outright. We don’t see why just because he’s wealthy, just because he funnels billions of pounds into the pockets of bill of his billionaire pals, why that should give him a free pass in Scotland. So do you think Swinny John Sweeny and Scottish government should act differently in relation to this Trump? Yes, we do not think that the Scottish government should be welcoming Trump to Scotland. Your party today has called for the government to seek unexplained wealth order in relation to uh their assets here in Scotland. Tell us more about that. Yeah. So, we know that Trump owns uh property in Scotland, not not only the golf courses, but you know, we we need we need to be certain that he has not broken any any laws here in Scotland. The Scottish Greens have repeatedly been calling for an unexplained wealth order um into Trump’s finances. We know he’s been convicted in the US of of a whole series of of of of allegations. He he has those convictions. We know that there are dodgy business deals that he is engaged in and nothing like that should be happening in Scotland without investigation and certainly no public money should be going towards Trump resorts to Trump towards Trump golf courses to to the enrichment of him and his billionaire pals.

Donald Trump was able to enjoy round of golf at Turnberry as protesters speak out from hundreds of miles away.

While demonstrations have taken place in Edinburgh and Aberdeen in opposition to the US president’s Scotland trip, Turnberry remains a ghost town.
