Adrien Maron’s birdie blitz. Tied at the top after Live Golf UK round one. In a thrilling display of skill, Adrien Marank from Poland has surged to the top of the leaderboard at the Live UK tournament thanks to an impressive streak of five birdies over six holes. This remarkable performance has placed him in a three-way tie for first place after the opening round held at the Centurion Club in Heml Henstead, England. Joining him at the summit are Wacki Neman from Chile and Brandon Grace from South Africa with all three players finishing a day at an impressive six underpar 65. Bubba Watson finds himself in a freeway tie for fourth place sitting at five underpar alongside England’s Lee Westwood and Mexico’s Carlos Ortiz. Meanwhile, a group of four players including England’s Paul Casey and Terrell Hatton, American Caleb Surret, and Australia’s Mark Leechman are tied for seventh of four under par. Marank’s journey to the top was not without his challenges. He started the day with a bogey on the sixth hole, leaving him at just one under after seven holes. However, he quickly turned things around with back-to-back birdies on the eighth and 9th holes, followed by a par on the 10th. He then continued his momentum, adding three more birdies to his scorecard, including a final flourish at the 639yd par five 13th hole. After clinching victory at the season opening event in Riyad, Saudi Arabia back in February, Marank seems to have regained his form. “It feels great to be in this position again, especially after starting the season strong,” he expressed. “I’m finally enjoying my time on the course and playing well, which is really exciting. I’m looking forward to this weekend and the three more tournaments we have left this year. Nean also had a stellar round recording four birdies on the front nine and maintaining a bogey-free performance by parring the last five holes with three events remaining in the season all set to take place in the United States. Neman currently leads the player standings. I feel incredibly fortunate to be at the top of the rankings especially with John Ram and Bryson Dshambo chasing me. Neman remarked, “This pressure only makes me a better athlete. I thrive in these situations and just need to give it my all.” Grace had a strong start, reaching seven underpar at one point, but a bogey on the par 415 hole brought him back to six under. He concluded his round with three consecutive pars, maintaining his position among the leaders. Watson was poised to join the leaders at six under until a bogey on the challenging 244 yd par 31 17th hole. Currently ranked 31st in the overall standings, he finds himself in the open zone as the threat of relegation looms. Yet he remains comfortably above the drop zone line. The pressure is definitely heightened without a doubt. Watson admitted players know what’s at stake in an elite league like this. They want contracts and the opportunity to compete here next year, which adds a significant amount of stress. Westwith, who is currently in 45th place in the overall standings, has shown mock improvement following a strong performance at the Live event in Virginia back in June. Golf is a tricky game. Just when you think you’ve got it figured out, it can surprise you with a score that doesn’t reflect your efforts, Westwood explained. However, during that final round in Virginia, I shot a 9 under, which really boosted my confidence that the hard work I’ve been putting in on the range and putting green is starting to pay off in terms of my scores. This tournament is shaping up to be an exciting one, and with so many talented players in contention, it’s sure to keep fans on the edge of their seats. Key changes to JCB course revealed. Imagine stepping onto a golf course that’s been meticulously transformed based on player insights. That’s exactly what’s happening at LiveGolf UK by JCD, where the 54 Live Golf players will face a notable enhancements from last year’s layout. On July 24th, 2025 at 2:15 p.m., Matt Denchenzi reported from Rochester, England about these exciting changes. Graham Macdonald, CEO of JCB, and Sam Horsefield from Majestics GC, who lived just a stones throw from the course, detailed the significant modifications made. We took the feedback from both the Liv team and the players to heart and invested heavily over the past year. Numerous enhancements and modifications have been implemented to elevate the course, reflecting our deep appreciation for our partnership with Liv. Macdonald emphasized these alterations stem from player feedback following the previous year’s event. Horsefield, a JCB member, highlighted the key changes. They introduced new tea boxes to extend the course and add complexity. It’s fantastic to see them act on our feedback, making tangible improvements from a player’s perspective. One major issue last year was the par five third hole where a steeply sloped fairway caused well struck t-shots to roll into the water. To address this, trees were removed and the hillside was leveled, enhancing playability and offering a clearer view of the green on the second shot. The third hole was quite contentious last year. Horfield noted there was a bunker 30 to 40 yard short that often sent balls into the water. They’ve removed it and flattened the area, which is a great move. You don’t want a well-hit four iron or fivewood bouncing into the water. Another concern was the T- box on the par 513, which needed adjustment to allow for full driver swings. The course responded by lengthening the hole, asfield explained, moving the T- box on 13 is a brilliant change. They cleared trees on the left, making it more open and visually appealing. The new T- box let you hit driver without fearing the water. Unlike last year when I had to use a 3-wood, now it’s a thrilling riskreward T-shot. Beyond these major adjustments, other tweaks were made to improve spectator experience and course difficulty. The 12th hole tea box was pushed back. The 14th T was moved left to expand the fair area, and trees near the small pond on the 18th hole were cleared. With the course and players collaborating to refine the layout, golf enthusiasts can anticipate an even more exhilarating tournament in 2025. But here’s where it gets controversial. Do these changes favor certain playing styles? What do you think? Share your views in the comments. Nearman Grace Meon lead live UK by JCD. Round one highlights and team standings. Get ready for an exciting golf showdown. The Live Golf UK by JCD tournament is already shaping up to be a thrilling battle with three teams tied for the lead after an intense first round. But here’s where it gets controversial. The individual leaderboard is also a three-way tie, and it’s a battle of the heavyweights. Wack Neman, Adrien and Brandon Grace are the three golfers who currently share the top spot. Neman, a four-time winner this season, and the current points leader, is determined to hold onto his position. He started strong shooting a bogey-free 65 on Friday at JCB Golf and Country Club. But he’s not alone at the top. Morant, who won the season opening tournament in Riad, is back in form with a stellar 65 of his own. And Grace, who’s been battling wrist issues, has found his groove again, tying for fourth earlier this month in Ander Lucia. The chase for the championship, and this is the part most people miss. The individual championship is still very much up for grabs. Last year, John Rahm won the UK trophy and used it as a springboard to catch up to Neman in the season long race. This year, Nean has a 15-point lead over Rob. But with Rahm currently tied for 32nd, Nean has a chance to extend his advantage. Bryson Dashambo in third place in the standings is also in the mix, tied for 11th after a solid 68. Based on current projections, Neiman could leave England with a comfortable 44-point lead, virtually guaranteeing him the top spot going into the regular season finale in Indianapolis. But with so many talented golfers in the mix, anything can happen. The team battle, the team competition is just as intense with defending UK champions Legion 13 tied with Stinger and Torque at 11 under. Six other teams are within striking distance, making every shot count. Live Golf’s new scoring format this season ensures that all four scores matter in every round, adding an extra layer and excitement to the team competition. The English advantage. Three English golfers are among the top eight on the individual leaderboard led by the legendary Lee Westwood who tied an open championship record last week. Ferrell Haffen and Paul Casey the others through Englishman are also in the mix. With such strong homefield representation, the English players received enthusiastic support from the packed gallery at JCB, which is hosting a tournament for the second year in a row. The final stretch. As the tournament progresses, the pressure will only intensify. Will Neiman hold onto his lead and secure the individual championship? Can Rahm or Dishambo mount a comeback? And which team will emerge victorious in the team competition? Stay tuned for more updates and analysis from the Live Golf UK by JCB tournament.
