Jordan Speed just made the craziest decision you’ll ever see on a golf course. He was stuck in a brutal spot. His ball landed right next to a drainage ditch with no direct path to the green. So, he had two options. Take a penalty drop or aim completely away from the hole toward the clubhouse. And guess what? He chose the second one. After a long talk with his caddy, Spith pulled the trigger, sending his shot straight up and onto the roof of the clubhouse on purpose. But here’s the genius part. Since the ball landed on an immovable obstruction, rule 16.1A kicked in.

That should be OB
You don’t get a free drop from an immovable obstruction. Thats a unplayable lie which is a drop.
It’s like that old video of Sergio Garcia hitting out of the tree so he didn’t have to take an unplayable
Tiger’s entourage would move it.
Did i hear him right… Spy-eth?
He did not save par… he scored a double bogey on this hole and dropped 2 strokes. It's weird that you would lie about that lol
YouTube is an AI slop farm
I guess rules are rules, but that's unsportsmanlike. The number one rule of golf is play the ball as it lies, all of the exceptions is to give you some fair relief, and shouldn't be abused like this.
This video alone caused lots of clubhouses around the country to get their windows broken
Smart, great save, JS.
This is not what happened at all. Why do you have to lie.

He hit it out of play. That's a DNF in my book.
How can the roof of the Clubhouse not be out of bounds?
Wouldn't the drainage count as immovable object also ?
Most normal Spieth par
Saving par is 1 thing, JS scored a double bogey here. This trick saved him from a triple. Get your facts right!
Why is Spieth always in situations like this…?
Proof that pros need OB stakes. This is a ridiculous relief ruling and not int he spirit of the game.
How can the clubhouse not be o.b. ?
