This week on Celtic Warrior Workouts, Sheamus heads down to Orlando, Florida to the Big Cat Barbell Gym for a BIG workout with the one and only, Bronson Reed. To stay one of the biggest and strongest on the roster, Reed brings his tsunARMi and delts workout to put Sheamus through his paces.
Like a little kick like this? >> Speaker 2: Yeah.
>> Speaker 1: And then it’s like a little knee. >> Speaker 2: This is like a workout. >> Speaker 1: You turn and you go again. Kick, kick, knee, knee,
then maybe maybe another kick and then it was like a clap and turn. >> Speaker 2: What’s the crack,
how are you doing? I’m Seamus AKA The Celtic Warrior. Here in Orlando, Florida at the soon
to be world famous Big Cat Barbell Gym. And my workout today is known
are one of the biggest, baddest Superstars on the roster. All the way from Adelaide,
all the way from Down Under please welcome big bad Bronson Reed
>> Speaker 1: Welcome, welcome to Big Cat Barbell,
my personal favorite gym. >> Speaker 2: This is great fella,
look at this. This is amazing,
I love the way the great use of space. The mats are professional,
I took the cheap route of mine when I stole a lot from the tractor
trailer supply store. So there’s loads of gaps. >> Speaker 1: That’s how I started. But they were too heavy and
annoying to move around. So then I got this stuff and
slowly put it all out and it’s nice but
then it’s hard to keep clean. >> Speaker 2: You built this
gym during the pandemic, right? >> Speaker 1: I did.
So I started off, we were in a two bedroom apartment, me and my wife and
I dedicated one of the rooms to a gym. Yes, yeah. And I just had a rack and,
and a bar and some plates and that was all I started with. >> Speaker 2: Were you on
the ground floor help? >> Speaker 1: Yes, I was. And, and, and then is when I was
doing more powerlifting stuff. So I was doing lots of deadlifts. So the neighbors were
getting a little angry at me. Making a lot of noise. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then we went to the next place, had
a two car garage, got some more pieces and now a three car garage. >> Speaker 2: Let’s talk about you mate. Like you know you can’t. You went to NXT process,
you came up for a bit. I think I saw you the first time we
were in, we’re probably in Florida. >> Thunderdome? >> Speaker 2: Yeah,
I nearly had a couple of dark matter. >> Speaker 1: I did.
Yeah. >> Speaker 2: I remember just
being blown away by your size. Your look, just a great unique look. I see it was a massive throwback to
when I was a kid watching wrestling. >> Speaker 1: I like to try and picture
Bronson Reed as a wrestler that can work in any generation and
keep up with today’s generation. You could work in the 90s,
work in the 80s, even back 70s, 60s I’m sort of that you going. >> Speaker 2: All the way back. >> Speaker 1: Yeah.
60s. >> Speaker 2: Yeah. I watch. >> [LAUGH]
>> I watch it. >> Speaker 1: I can work some holds for
about 20 minutes. While you’re like, hour matches, [LAUGH]. >> You’re peeking the bicep. >> Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, so
that’s what I liken myself to. But, yeah, I was always a fan of
the guys that were larger than life, whether that was literally in
their size or their characters. >> Speaker 2: Yeah.
>> Speaker 1: And I feel like that’s how
wrestling should be. As a fan, you should see it and be like,
there’s something special about that. >> Speaker 2: When did
the ball catch him after WWE? When did that happen? >> Speaker 1: Well, I’ve always been
a huge wrestling fan since I can remember. >> Speaker 2: You don’t even remember,
like, five, six years old. >> Even younger, I think my earliest
memories of life, I’ve said this before, are watching WrestleMania 2,
Hogan and Bundy in the cage. For some reason, I remember being a tiny
kid, three years old or something, eating. And I was watching that match to
the blue steel cage, obviously, is ingrained into my
head through high school. I was like, okay,
I think I want to become a pro wrestler. And then I was lucky. As I finished high school,
a school just opened in Adelaide. Hartley Jackson, who some people may know, may not know he actually
trained under Anoki. And so he brought that whole Japanese
style of training to Adelaide and pretty much kicked my ass for a few years. Yeah.
Yeah. There’s a reason my knees are sore from
doing thousands and thousands of squats. Being in Australia at the time, there
was no one that was signed to wwe, so I was like, okay, that’s not attainable. I’ll focus on Japan. Made that happen. And then after that, people did start
getting signed to WWE from Australia. So I was like, okay. And I pivoted and tried to work my way
towards that way, and it worked out. It’s my gardener,
[LAUGH] he’ll be done in a second. He’s doing-
>> The Bron Breaker’s cutting the grass. >> [LAUGH], Yeah,
you’ll hear him barking soon. >> Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah. >> [LAUGH]
>> Speaker 2: At least they’re keeping them busy. >> Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. >> Speaker 2: Bronz,
I’m really excited for this, mate. I really am. I’m like, I’m pumped. This.
This gym is just incredible. I love the fact you got a little bit. You got a little sprog there,
a little baby girl, which is great. Today, you don’t have to leave the house. >> Speaker 1: Exactly. >> Speaker 2: So convenient to have this,
but not only that, it’s just the best equipment ever. >> Speaker 1: Yeah.
>> Speaker 2: So, yeah, I’m so what’s today’s workout gonna be called? What are you gonna call it? >> Speaker 1: We’re gonna call it,
Tsu nami. >> Tsunami, Big Bronson,
Tsunami and Delta. Yeah, gotta get them both. Yeah, play that meme. >> Speaker 2: That’s go doable. >> Speaker 1: All right,
all I want to do is have a sick pump. >> Speaker 2: Let’s do it. >> Speaker 1: That’s what I’m chasing,
chasing the sick pump. >> Speaker 2: And it’s a shoulder day. >> Speaker 1: I’m gonna start with
bulletproofing your shoulders. You ever seen this gimmick? >> Speaker 2: Only in a Pulp Fiction. >> Speaker 1: Yes. It’s not going in your mouth. >> Speaker 2: Okay, cool. That’s good. >> Speaker 1: So I tore my rotator cuff
once and I had to rehab my rotator cuff. >> Speaker 2: Right.
>> Speaker 1: It was from doing heavy military press. >> Speaker 2: Okay. >> Speaker 1: And since then, I use this
thing, which helped me with my rehab. >> Speaker 2: Right.
>> Speaker 1: I do it before I do any sort of shoulder stuff. We’re gonna hold it out in front and
you’re gonna do rotations. Okay. I do 20 swings one way, count them. >> Speaker 2: Okay, okay. >> [LAUGH]
>> Most people I count. Most people count out loud. >> Speaker 1: Yeah. And then from there,
I switch and go the other way. >> Speaker 2: So it works. It works all a little
kinda like stabilize. >> Speaker 1: I go diagonal. >> Speaker 2: Wow.
Okay. >> Speaker 1: Sheamus
has all the toys out. Football, soccer, 20 this way. >> Speaker 2: Yeah, diagonal. >> Speaker 2: You bring
down the road with you? >> Speaker 1: I used to. And then I stopped. Because on the road,
I try to not do shoulders. Okay.
I try. If anything, I do a bit of like chest,
chest and arms. Maybe back. >> Speaker 2: Right, watch out. I don’t want to hit you in the head. We go back straight up again. All those stabilizing muscles. Same thing.
The other side. >> Speaker 2: So one in front? >> Speaker 1: Yeah, One in front,
one diagonal, one completely out. 90 degrees. Is this 90 degrees? Yeah.
>> Speaker 2: It’s pretty close. >> Speaker 1: Doesn’t matter
if it’s not straight, I mean, it’s probably better if it’s straight,
right? >> Speaker 2: Always, excuse,
you gotta work with the elbows. >> [LAUGH] Yeah, my elbows are like. My arms don’t go straight out again,
which is from chips in my elbow. Yeah, so I can relate. You gotta deal with however you can do it. >> Speaker 2: I can relate to the chips. >> Speaker 1: Done. >> Speaker 2: All right.
Okay, so. >> We do it?
>> Yeah. >> Speaker 1: So swing it. How’s that feel? Straight out of it. You can feel it working in there, right? >> Speaker 2: Yeah. >> Speaker 1: You can see it working. See, that’s the other thing. Not only is it helping you, it’s fun. >> Speaker 2: Yeah. >> Speaker 1: 45 degrees, 30 degrees. I don’t know my degrees very well, that’s why they have numbers on my bench
that tell me just a little warm-up. >> Speaker 2: Good, okay,
Then I’ll do earlier. >> Speaker 1: Yep.
>> Speaker 2: I’ll do the angle first. I can feel, I can, like, I’ve had little. >> Speaker 1: And
you can work up in weights. Like I said, it’s a whole set. We can start the workout. >> Speaker 2: All right. >> Speaker 1: So
I’m just gonna use this mirror to see. >> Speaker 2: Okay, so
you start off with this. >> Speaker 1: We’re gonna
do some side laterals. So I’m just gonna do 15. >> Yep. I mean, I’m not going to tell
you how to do side laterals. You know what you’re doing? >> Speaker 2: Yeah.
>> Speaker 1: I’m so used to working out with music. >> Speaker 2: I know.
>> Speaker 1: I feel like you’re gonna hear me puffing. You can sing to me. Yeah, maybe that’ll help. Not the best for a dust. So 15 reps. Used to be in a choir, you know. Used to be in a choir. >> Speaker 1: There we go, look at that. Chasing that pump. Getting thick. >> Speaker 2: Great lighting in there. >> Speaker 1: Voluptuous delts. >> Speaker 2: This light is incredible. >> Speaker 2: It is good, right? >> Speaker 2: Yeah. >> Speaker 1: I time my rest periods now. >> Speaker 2: That’s good. So I use an app. >> Do you? >> Speaker 1: I do. My coach, his name is. He’s a pro wrestler from
Australia named Slex. After my injury, I’m like, you know what? I’m gonna drop a few pounds. So he’s helped me with nutrition and
my workout, but he has an app and
you’ll see all the exercises we’re doing. But it also tells you
how long to rest for. >> Speaker 2: That’s great. >> Speaker 1: Which I think is great. Yeah.
>> Speaker 2: Yeah. >> Speaker 1: For the longest time,
I either wasn’t resting enough. >> Speaker 2: Yeah. >> Speaker 1: Or
when I was doing powerlifting, I was wresting-
>> Too much. >> Speaker 2: Too much, yeah. >> Speaker 1: So this is the sweet spot. I’ve been.
I’m down. At the same time, I also did. What’s that scan called? To have it at the PC. >> Scans your body fat, your muscle mass. >> Speaker 2: Yeah, I just did it. Dexa scan, maybe, something like that. I can’t do the interbody or something. >> Speaker 1: Yes.
Yeah, that’s it. But I’ve maintained these last few
months since I’ve been working with him, I’ve lost 25 pounds. >> Speaker 2: That’s incredible, bro. >> Speaker 1: But at the same time,
I’ve lost no muscle, so that’s been the. The key. It’s good to see where you’re at. You know that body fat count
of a packet of crisps. So I’m trying to change that. Well, the problem is Aussie food,
it’s so good. >> Speaker 1: Yeah, they do it very well. >> Speaker 2: I grew up-
>> Speaker 2: The crisps are so good. >> Speaker 1: I grew up on meat pies,
you know what I mean? Who’s your favorite wrestler? >> Speaker 2: Sheamus of all time. >> Speaker 1: Of all time. Or even if you can give me,
like a Mount Rushmore, like a four. >> Speaker 2: So
I’ll give you who motivated me. So the first guy really was. Was. Was Savage. I love Savage. Still do. >> Speaker 1: Me too.
>> Speaker 2: After Savage, I was. I love the bad guys. Right.
So, I mean, Savage look perfect. I love Dibiase Warrior. When he came out as a kid,
I just felt his energy. >> Speaker 1: Big Warrior fan. >> Speaker 2: Yeah, Big Warrior fan. I mean, he just. >> Speaker 1: Just a freak. >> Speaker 2: Ball of energy. >> Speaker 1: Yeah, ball of energy. He’s a freak,
he’s screaming about other worlds, he’s- >> Planes going down. I used to have, I think it was like
Hulk Hogan Super Tape Volume 2 or whatever it was, right? >> Speaker 2: Yeah. >> Speaker 1: And
it was him versus Rick Rude. But the start of the. Before he made his entrance this one time,
they showed him backstage and you just see him like
walking around the halls. I was like, what the hell is this? And then his music kicks in. Runs fan forever. >> Speaker 2: I mean, what cardio he has. >> Speaker 1: Yeah.
>> Speaker 2: Just everything into that entrance and it just blew you away. >> Speaker 1: Just gonna do a warm
up set here on the shoulder press. >> Speaker 2: Okay. How do your reps technically do? >> Speaker 1: I probably just do 10. The thing is, a lot of people, I think,
kill it with their warm ups and then by the time they
get to the actual sets, they’re too fatigued to
do their actual set. So I’m like, as long as you get
the movement down, you’re feeling warm. Like, the next couple of things I’m
probably not gonna warm up for. There we go. >> Speaker 2: Awesome, I love this thing,
pull yourself out, it’s great. >> Speaker 1: That’s what I do. I’ve been doing two plates aside for
the last couple of months. It’s been a little too easy. >> Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
>> Speaker 1: So I’m like, well, Seamus is in the building. Let’s do. Let’s do three plates. >> Speaker 2: Let’s go. That’s awesome. >> Speaker 1: 10. >> Speaker 2: 10 easy reps, you know. >> Speaker 1: Nice. >> Speaker 1: Here we go. >> Speaker 2: How many? >> Speaker 1: 10. 1. Good. 2. 3. >> Speaker 2: 3. >> Speaker 2: I’m literally
trying to survive this. >> Speaker 1: He’s got it. >> Speaker 2: You’re killing me. >> Speaker 1: Let’s go three again. No, I’m really joking. Six. Seven.
>> Speaker 2: You’re not helping me, are you? >> Speaker 1: No, no, I’m just here. Eight, two more, come on, nine. Do it, last one. Ten up. Yeah. >> Speaker 2: Did you help me? >> Lightweight. >> Did you help me? >> Speaker 1: No, no, my fingers were
just there, but I wasn’t helping. Give you a nice little finger. >> Speaker 2: I don’t
think I like this machine. >> Speaker 1: You know
what I found with this? >> Speaker 2: Killed my ego. I already humbled me. This humbles me. >> The humbler. Back tight against [INAUDIBLE]. >> Speaker 1: So I.
I don’t have my lower back. I do it like I do a bench, right? Like a powerlifting style bench. >> Speaker 2: Okay. >> Speaker 1: I have my legs wide. >> Speaker 2: Yeah,
Spread them there, bro. >> Speaker 1: Yeah, you can see that. >> Speaker 2: Yeah. >> Speaker 1: Adductor machine. And then I have. I have my shoulders pinned against the. The pad. >> Speaker 2: Yeah.
>> Speaker 1: Traps, so I can force from my feet all the way
through, get my traps and push. >> Speaker 2: That’s awesome. I’m good. >> Speaker 1: Yeah. Ten.
Ten beautiful reps. Good. >> Speaker 2: Great,
look at those shoulders. There we go. Yeah, one more, one more. Smash it. Yes. You feel it? >> Speaker 2: My gosh. >> Speaker 1: You can feel it,
you can sense it. I wanna do a little front jump movement. Just doing 12. >> Speaker 2: Nice and smooth. >> Speaker 1: Here with the mirror. You can look at yourself if you want. I was never a big. So my. My other gyms, I never. Never had a mirror. >> Speaker 2: Yeah. >> Speaker 1: And
then my wife’s like, we should get a. Some mirrors for the gym, so
you can sort of see what you’re doing. >> Speaker 2: Yeah.
>> Speaker 1: I don’t want to look at myself, but now that I have them, find. >> Speaker 2: Always
looking in the mirror. >> Speaker 1: Looking in
the mirror all the time. To be like, hm. >> Speaker 2: I need some from Nashville. But the problem is I. I just don’t have any. I haven’t given myself enough wall space. So I might have to be on the back
of the door or something. >> Speaker 1: Yeah, I don’t know. >> Speaker 2: I got, I got it. >> Speaker 1: 12. >> Mirrors are great,
man, I do gotta get some. 10, is it? >> 12. >> Speaker 1: Nice. The first time I did this, I,
you know, almost ripped myself. So on the way down,
you gotta watch the weight. >> Speaker 2: So
same thing happened me, I was in- >> Old school gym? And if you go to old school gyms,
people won’t notice. Yes. Because everything here is brand new and
polished. This [CROSSTALK] frayed. >> Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. >> Speaker 2: So
this is metal frayed like cable? Dude, I almost. I almost had to go to the brother. It was close. Our training school, our dojo,
which we came up in, was full of beasts. Like everyone was could destroy it. >> Speaker 2: That’s
the total opposite me. >> Speaker 1: You would
have fit in perfect. >> Speaker 2: I love it. >> Good, the rest of Australia, we prouded
ourselves on being the biggest guys. Well, not just the biggest,
but the toughest. >> Speaker 2: Yeah.
>> Speaker 1: If you come train with us, you better be ready to get. >> Speaker 2: That’s an Adelaide, right. Yeah, Adelaide wrestle rampage dojo. >> Speaker 2: Adelaide was kind of. Yeah. Like everyone talks about Melbourne and
Sydney. >> Speaker 1: Yeah. >> Speaker 2: Brisbane,
they’re the popular places, you know. How far is Adelaide from Sydney and
Melbourne? >> Speaker 1: It’s like a two
hour flight from Melbourne. >> Speaker 2: Okay.
>> Speaker 1: It’s not- >> Ten hour drive. >> Speaker 2: It’s Parrot or Brisbane, it’s on the other side.
Perth’s the furthest, that’s the one. >> Yeah, [INAUDIBLE]. >> First is on the west coast because clearly on the side with my first
tour we did, I just debuted, I think Sylvia,
which my 16 year came up with last Monday. >> Speaker 1: What year was that? >> Speaker 2: 2009. >> Speaker 1: You know what? >> Speaker 2: I think you weren’t there,
were you? >> Speaker 1: I watched you and I got
three tickets to the show because this is showing my first time working for wwe. I went and
put flyers into the merchandise bags. >> Speaker 2: Really?
>> Speaker 1: For about two hours. Just fly a bag, fly a bag, fly a bag. Me and two other wrestlers, we did that,
we got three tickets to the show. I was like, all right. >> Speaker 2: That’s awesome, I think on
that tour, I wrestled Jamie and Santino. I’d swap every night. >> Speaker 1: Okay.
Yeah. >> So this is gonna be a close
grip bench for triceps. >> Speaker 2: Okay,
how many sets this does? >> Speaker 1: Just two.
>> Speaker 2: Two sets of what? 10 reps? >> Speaker 1: Yes. Feel those elbows go. >> Speaker 2: I know me,
that’s good, though. >> Speaker 1: I’ve always
been strong with tries. Good. There you go. Well, watch that. >> [LAUGH]
>> Need to come down. Next time, let me know, two more? >> Speaker 2: Yep. >> Speaker 1: One. One more. Come on up. Easy. >> Speaker 2: I should
have eaten breakfast. >> Speaker 1: I mean, that does help. I had a coffee, that was it for now. >> Speaker 2: Do you
have any breakfast here? No.
>> Speaker 1: No, no. >> Speaker 2: Okay.
>> Speaker 1: But that’s fine. That’s good.
Yeah, I’m full of. >> Speaker 2: I try not to. I try not to start eating food until,
but after 12 anyway. >> Speaker 1: Yeah, that’s good. >> Speaker 2: This light’s amazing, bro. >> Speaker 1: Look,
I feel good in front of that light. Right? But honestly, sometimes when I take the
photo, it doesn’t look as good as it looks just in the light with your eyes and
I’m like, I. >> Speaker 2: Hate when that happens. >> Speaker 1: If the light
catches me just right. Very handsome. >> Speaker 2: Does that happen
when you met your wife. >> [LAUGH]
>> Speaker 2: When your wife saw you across the room, and then the hotel in
the bar, the light just cut you just like. >> Speaker 1: I grew into
the beast that I am now. So we’re actually high school sweethearts. >> Speaker 2: That’s brilliant. >> Speaker 1: So we’ve grown up together. She knew me before wrestling even, but maybe I was a little bit
cuter in high school. And now I am what I am. >> Speaker 2: She’s like, yeah,
I always say that to her. I go, well, you’re stuck,
you’re stuck with me now. I’m counting now, just in case. >> They’re killing that way, bro. >> Speaker 1: What? Two, three. Yeah, yeah, let’s go. There we go. [MUSIC] More everything. Squeeze those triceps. >> Up [SOUND] yes. Awesome, feel like that helps afterwards. There’s a couple of one twos. Are you coming in like this? Real karate style? >> Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
>> Speaker 1: Switching the hands. I did karate for
four weeks as when I was 11 years old and went, not doing that ever again. >> Speaker 2: Apart from Limp Bizkit, what’s the most embarrassing
music on your playlist? >> Speaker 1: I don’t consider
anything embarrassing. >> Apart from them. >> [LAUGH]
>> Cuz I listen to everything. But I guess the stuff that people,
you know, people see me, they think I’m big angry dude. And I do like to listen to-
>> Metalhead, Big heavy metal head. >> Speaker 1: Hardcore sort of hip hop and
stuff to get me pumped up. But I listen to a lot of girly pop. >> Nice. >> So if you speak to Kathy Kelly at work, [LAUGH] we actually have
some similar music tastes. >> Speaker 2: Okay.
>> Speaker 1: People like Chapel Roan, listen to her a lot. >> Speaker 2: Chaperone. >> Speaker 1: No, no, not chaperone. >> Speaker 2: Yeah.
>> Speaker 1: Sabrina Carpenter. >> Speaker 2: Okay. >> Speaker 1: Okay. There’s a. There’s a band called the Beaches that
I’ve been listening to a lot lately, which is like an all girl band. >> Speaker 2: Okay.
>> Speaker 1: I don’t know, something about like girl singers. Just is easy to listen to. I listen to everything from Elvis
all the way through to, you know, the Deftones and. Yeah, even more like classic stuff like
Johnny Cash and this is Rammstein. Yeah, I listen to everything,
I’ll listen to Whitney Houston. Some love. I’m a big Tina Turner. I know. So in Australia, I don’t know if
the same as island because not here for some reason, but the Nut Bush,
big, big hit for Tina Turner. There’s a dance to that in Australia. Really?
And at weddings everyone
does the Nutbush dance. >> Speaker 2: Okay. >> Speaker 1: And then when I came
to America, people were like, what are you talking about,
Nut Bush dance? I was like,
I thought it was an American thing. Because Tim Turner but apparently it’s an
Australian tradition to do this dance to [LAUGH] like a little kick like this. Yeah.
And then it’s like a little knee. >> Speaker 2: This is like a workout. >> Speaker 1: You turn and you go again. Kick, kick, kick, knee, knee,
then maybe, maybe another kick and then it was like a clap and turn. So it’s like a-. >> Maybe it’s knee knee. Yeah, it’s knee, knee, then kick. So we’re gonna do some bicep curls. >> Speaker 2: So the only tricep
exercise was the close grip, right? >> Speaker 1: No,
we’re going to end with tricep. >> Speaker 2: Okay.
>> Speaker 1: Okay. So we start with the tricep? >> Right. >> Speaker 1: Sandwich it with two
bicep exercises and end with it. >> Speaker 2: I like that
because it’s brings you back. Yeah.
>> Yeah, yeah, tells a story, many. >> Yes, come back, you in this business. >> Speaker 1: So all storytellers,
not just wrestling in the gym, you know, at the pub,
telling stories, simultaneous. Is that the word? 10 at the same time? Yeah, 10.
>> Speaker 2: Look, those tens, ten’s a magic number. >> Speaker 1: It is biceps,
actually, my weakest point. >> Speaker 2: I couldn’t tell. >> Speaker 1: You could tell? Well, I could tell. [MUSIC] There we go. Look at those biceps,
he is a brother with some biceps. >> Speaker 2: Came with
him in the package. >> Speaker 1: I feel like
you’ve always been jacked, like even when you
debuted just always been. >> I have a picture of that when I did-. >> Jacked dude. I’ve always been like a chubby sort of
kid, but I had no shoulders, no arms, no chest. So I was sort of just like,
yeah, this sort of kid. >> Speaker 2: Now look at you. >> Speaker 1: And yeah, then my wrestling
coaches who got me into weights, so he’s like, I started wrestling. We did a lot of push ups, squats. Your traditional wrestling stuff. I got my wrestle board here. So in Japan, use these all the time. But because I got trained in
that sort of style before Japan. >> Speaker 2: Yeah.
>> Speaker 1: It was this. Or like push up bars. But then I remember my coach being like,
it’s cool. We do all this stuff in training,
but you gotta start actually- >> Lifting weights. >> Speaker 2: Yeah.
>> Speaker 1: I was like, okay. I didn’t know. I never lifted weights in my life. I remember getting on a bicep curl
machine, putting on 20 pounds, like nothing and being like [LAUGH] so I was
like, okay, I gotta try and get strong. >> Speaker 2: What’s
your favorite cheat meal? >> Speaker 1: Favorite cheat meal? Again, so I’m not in Australia anymore. >> Speaker 2: Yeah.
>> Speaker 1: But if I was in Australia. Meat pies. >> Speaker 2: Okay.
>> Speaker 1: You had meat pies in Australia? >> Speaker 2: I never had one. >> No, I hadn’t been rubbish,
it’s rubbish. >> Speaker 2: Throw it in the garlic. >> Speaker 2: Greggs,
there’s no Greggs over there? >> Speaker 1: We have that same
version except it’s delicious. >> Speaker 2: Yeah.
>> Speaker 1: Instead of tasting like Carboy. >> Carboy, yeah. So that’s the problem again. I don’t want to offend any English people,
but I do. Your food is all very bland. Whereas you get to Australia
fresh Australian beef. The best beef you can get in the world
in a meat pie with gravy, tomato sauce, ketchup. >> Speaker 2: Here.
I love ketchup, listen, I poketch everything. Delicious. Yeah, but here in America, I guess my favorite sort of cheat
meal is like burgers, Burger chips. >> Speaker 1: Yeah, really nice. >> Speaker 2: There’s some people burger. >> What’s your favorite burger place? >> Speaker 1: I’m gonna be controversial,
a lot of people say that it’s not good, but Shake Shack. >> Speaker 2: Yeah, my wife g Shake Shack. >> They’re made fresh and
then they do the crest. The burgers. >> Smash. >> Smash tag. >> I get the one with avocado on it. >> Speaker 2: Yeah.
>> Speaker 1: Delicious. >> Speaker 2: My wife loves Shake Shack,
brother, we got it. >> Speaker 1: It’s just.
>> Speaker 2: Yeah. >> Speaker 1: So fresh. >> Those cheese fries? >> Speaker 2: Definitely terrible. >> [LAUGH]
>> Speaker 2: Delicious, though [LAUGH]. >> Not part of the macro. My macro app isn’t working right now. >> Speaker 2: [LAUGH]
>> As I’m eating these cheese. >> Speaker 2: I get I get, so
my coach doesn’t call it a cheat meal. He calls it an untracked meal,
because I tracked it. >> Speaker 1: Supposed to have one a week,
sometimes two or three. >> Speaker 2: And I just. >> Speaker 1: But I don’t lie, some
people will lie to them and be like, no, I’ve only had one. >> Speaker 2: I’ll just tell them. >> You like yourself. >> Speaker 1: Yeah.
You know. >> Speaker 2: And
got some Shake Shack last night. You like yourself if you’re. >> Speaker 1: And that’s hard also,
like on the road. >> Speaker 2: Now, what’s. >> Speaker 1: What’s the last thing? >> We’re gonna do some alternating hammer. >> Curls right? >> We’ll do that, and then we’re gonna
move on to one more tricep exercise. Okay, so we go delts. Tricep, bicep, delt, tricep. >> Speaker 2: Okay.
>> [LAUGH] >> Speaker 1: Sandwich them. >> Just alternating hammers. That’s Seamus’s nickname. The hammer. >> Speaker 2: What? >> Speaker 1: In the locker room
Now I’m talking about in the ring. >> Speaker 2: I haven’t heard that one. I haven’t heard that one. But I don’t know what you guys
are calling me behind my back. >> Speaker 1: Seamus. >> Speaker 2: Seamus is too hard to say. >> Speaker 1: [LAUGH] It really isn’t but-
>> Too much effort. That’s an Irish thing. Aussie thing, too, though. You always take someone called Roberts,
you call him Rob, some called Steve. Tom, actually, add words. >> Speaker 1: Steve O Steve. >> Speaker 2: Yeah. >> Speaker 1: I mean Bronson. >> Speaker 2: Richie. Richard. >> Speaker 1: Like my wife paige. >> Speaker 2: Is it 10, right? 12. >> Speaker 1: She would say Bronnie for
Bronson. >> Speaker 2: Nice. >> Speaker 2: Yeah. All right,
that’s a little pet name for you. Yeah.
>> Speaker 1: Bronnie, Big Bronnie. >> Speaker 2: All right,
here we go, look at these. >> Speaker 1: I’m
impressed by your biceps. I’m jealous. >> Speaker 2: I’ll let them pick for
the weekend if you want. Thank you. >> Speaker 1: I’ll link you to. >> I just can take your body part and
swap body parts. >> Speaker 1: Sounds like
a horror movie waiting to happen. I like body horror movies. Did you see. Did you see the Substance last year? No.
>> Speaker 2: You got to give me a list of stuff to watch. >> Speaker 1: Everyone’s
watching that Love island thing. >> Speaker 2: My wife-
>> Speaker 1: People online have told me, like, you’re watching Love Island. I’m like, I didn’t even know what it was. >> Speaker 2: My wife made
me watch the USA one. I just.
I tapped out. I can’t watch this, man. I can’t do it. >> Speaker 1: Me either [LAUGH]. >> Speaker 2: I can’t watch this. Watch a couple of episodes. I was like, I can’t do this anymore. This is the worst I’ve
ever seen in my life. It started off in UK, I think, and
then when Australia, they love that. They do, but I was like, I can’t watch it,
I tell my wife, I can’t watch, I can’t. Please don’t make me watch it. Please. I know you want to. Like, can we just do anything else,
you know? >> Speaker 1: Yeah, it’s not for me. >> Speaker 2: Stick on some Rick and
Morty. >> Speaker 1: That’s a good one. >> Speaker 2: Family Guy or
King of the Hill or something. I just can’t do it. >> Speaker 1: I’m a big South Park guy. >> Speaker 2: I love South Park. >> Speaker 1: The first
ten seasons of Simpsons. >> Speaker 2: Bro.
>> Speaker 1: Simpsons, the Simpsons in Australia. >> Speaker 2: I won’t lie. >> Speaker 1: It’s like
Australian culture. The first 10 seasons of the Simpsons,
you can speak to anyone around my age. >> Speaker 2: Yeah.
>> Speaker 1: They’ll quote anything from the Simpsons. So when I moved to the States and I would
quote something or say something from the Simpsons and people didn’t know,
I was like, this should be your thing. So somehow Australia. >> Speaker 2: The episode where they’re
talking about Homer had the pig and he’s like talking about like pork rinds
and pork chops and like the alloy and it’s like, it’s often the same animal. Yes, Lisa, some. >> Magical. >> Magical animal. >> Speaker 1: Yeah [LAUGH]. >> Speaker 2: Yes. >> Speaker 1: We’re going
to do a tricep exercise. This is a cross cable tricep extension. >> Speaker 2: Nice. >> Speaker 1: I’m gonna grab
one of these little balls. >> Speaker 2: Yep. >> Speaker 1: Grab the other one. Get it in your hand. Just take a step back. Yeah, you almost want to
roll it into your body. And then from there we’re
keeping your arm stable there. We’re not rocking up. >> Got a get up back as well. Look at that? It’s like a road. It’s like a map of Georgia or Texas. >> Speaker 1: It’s like the,
the Rocky Mountains. Mount Rushmore is on my back,
that’s my goals. >> Speaker 2: It’s a big back, mate. >> [LAUGH]
>> Big back. The Hogan promo,
there’s an earthquake would happen and he put everybody shrimp plaza
on his back and swim to safety. So here. >> Speaker 1: Yep, there we go. Squeeze. Look at that. Look at that. >> Speaker 2: Is the mirror
the first time today. >> Speaker 1: There it is. Little glance over. Wink at yourself. Yeah, there it is. >> Speaker 2: We said a crack here today. It’s great, we should have had
like a whole table of beers and- >> Speaker 1: Yeah. >> Speaker 2: We literally should
have done 10 episodes of this. I think. I think drunk Celticoria
work has to be amazing. >> Speaker 1: I want to do it at the PC. Right. >> Speaker 2: Anywhere you want to do it. >> Speaker 1: Right here.
>> Speaker 2: Still here. 15, right? >> Speaker 1: 15.
Yeah. You just come hang out next time. I have all the Australians around. >> Speaker 2: Be great. >> Speaker 1: That’s the way everyone’s. Lots of banter, food, drinks. Here we go. Come on. Finish off strong. For any pro wrestler that doesn’t own
one of these, you should blast and fast. We’re working the triceps anyway. Let’s get a sweet pump. Maybe 20. There’s 20. Do a few sets. So this for me specific to wrestling
again, I came up in the the dojo in Australian which is run by
Hartley Jackson who trained under Enoki. The Japanese tradition. They use this in old school Indian
wrestling as well with like the clubs, maces, push up board. But in Japan it was a stable. So every dojo I’ve been to in Japan pro
wrestling Noah New Japan Pro Wrestling, they have one of these and it’s that
you’re able to target your triceps better, you’re able to use it to get
a deep stretch if you want to do those line push ups. It’s just been around in wrestling
history since I want to say the 70s. Yeah. Since I saw Noki doing it. And there’s something about it that like
it almost protects my wrists a little bit. >> Speaker 2: Yeah, it’s good, it’s smart. >> Speaker 1: But for me, when I started
wrestling in the dojo, I started in, it was a minimum 500 free weight squats,
200 push ups. >> Speaker 2: Jesus. >> Speaker 1: And if you couldn’t do that,
you had to keep doing that. Once you could get that, that’s when
you’re allowed to be in the ring. The respect is a big thing. We used to have to come into the dojo,
we do our cardio, whatever. You have to wipe your feet
before you get in the ring. Like, I love that sort of stuff. A little bit of a lost art nowadays. [MUSIC] You know what, it’s hopping and
popping in the microphone. [LAUGH]
>> Speaker 2: I’m right there with you. I’m right there with you. >> Speaker 1: One more set. What do you think?
>> Speaker 2: Yeah, let’s do it. >> Speaker 1: Let’s do the two sets. >> Speaker 1: Yeah. >> Another nice 20. Triceps are pumped. Look at this guy. Like a real, like a real gotch. Seamus Oonoki. >> [LAUGH] You’d never
know my name when I first started on the indies,
Seamus O’Shaughnessy. >> Speaker 1: I know, that’s why I said O. >> Seamus Oenoki. Brother, I’ve had so much fun today, man. Having me into your gym, have me into
your home, it’s an unbelievable setup. Now I know you got a lot
of fans out there. >> Speaker 1: Yes.
>> Speaker 2: On the other side of the world-
>> Speaker 1: [LAUGH] Yes. >> Speaker 2: On this side of the world,
across the pond, in Europe, a lot of them are watching you and
love watching every week, right? And a lot of them can relate to you
because of the way you look, your size, they probably have the same
type of body type. What I normally do now that they’re into
the workouts is, I’ll give you the floor, just you with the camera. >> Speaker 1: Yep.
>> Speaker 2: And share anything motivational stuff, advice, stuff you’ve overcome with everybody
else because this is your moment. >> Speaker 1: Yeah, of course. You know, for me, my dreams and
goals are always to be the best pro wrestler I could be, try
to get to wwe, try and do these things. And I feel like if you
want to be successful, you have to constantly be chasing your
dreams, also, constantly evolving. If you’re not evolving, you’re dying. That’s the way I see it. So whether that was me starting as
a smaller guy, putting on the pounds, doing powerlifting, getting as strong as
possible to now where I’ve had an injury, had to change my workouts,
make sure I’m staying healthy. And now losing some weight,
whatever that is, whatever that iteration of your time
periods is, you should always be evolving. So that’s my advice for
you guys out there, Big Bronson, breathe. >> Go on! I hope I didn’t wake your daughter. >> Speaker 1: That’s okay. [LAUGH]
>> Speaker 2: Brave change. [MUSIC]

Anybody know where I can buy that rotating ball on rope?
He's lost so much weight
I usually skip interviews on podcasts but I happened to hear one of Bronson a year or two ago. Definitely a fan of him, glad he's attached to one of the best in the world today with Seth. Hope for great things!
Bronson hasn't said a single word of a lie about Australian culture. He definitely speaks for us!
1 – Didnt know Bronson was from Adelaide…Hometown REPRESENT. 2 – The wrestling dojo he mentioned I didnt know existed. Looked it up and someone who I taught in my first teaching job around 15 years ago just headlined their most recent main event. Couldnt be more proud honestly. I now have a new spot to check out in Adelaide…I just wish I had known about it when I was a kid (though it didnt exist until after I was finishing High School by the looks) cause I love the profession and wanted to be a part of it then (Now, too, but Im old and nowhere near in shape)
