U.S. President Donald Trump, who is lifting and dropping the world, was seen driving a golf cart himself at a golf course in Scotland, England, and spending a leisurely weekend.
According to Reuters on the 26th (local time), President Trump played golf with his second son Eric and U.S. Ambassador to Britain Warren Stephens at his Scottish Turnberry Golf Resort earlier in the day. There were no public events on the schedule.
Security was tight. Roads have been closed and police checkpoints have been set up in south-west Scotland, where Turnberry Resort is located. Presidential Secret Service (SS) snipers were also deployed.
President Trump, dressed in black top and bottom and a white “USA” hat, drove a golf cart by himself on the same day. It was followed by about 15 carts that appeared to be accompanying vehicles. While driving the cart, he played songs such as Billy Joel’s “Uptown Girl,” Elaine Page’s “Memory” and Simon & Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water” loudly, The Independent reported. President Trump smiled or waved to the camera throughout.
Anti-Trump protesters, who appear everywhere he goes, also appeared in Scotland on the same day. Protesters of the “Union Against Trump (STC)” criticized President Trump’s internal and external actions and investment in local businesses, holding signs with the words “Scotland hates Trump” in Edinburgh, the capital.
Conflict of interest has also been raised in terms of the visit to Scotland’s inspection and promotion of the golf course business in the name of the family. This is because most of President Trump’s schedule is focused on visiting golf resorts he owns.
