Obviously, some sort of training device to try to hit the ball in the sweet spot. But does anybody know anything about this club?

As you said, training device. Also, leave it in the clubhouse, I’ll be there in 45.

So is the idea to swing it and have the ball go perfectly through the center? That way you train hitting the center of the iron.

My mother-in-law calls it her “tickler”.

It’s a device to drive a ball directly into your shin

Training aid, promotes shanks and toe strikes. Surprisingly didn’t sell well as people are already good at those.

Looks to me like a putter that’s been pured over a lifetime

It’s to scoop your friends balls from behind when they try to tee off

Looks like the club I swing on my second shot after absolutely piping a drive up the middle

Get a large nail or metal rod and stick it in the ground with about 1-2 inches sticking out. Swing this club as if the rod is a ball. If your swing is off center, you get immediate feedback.

So you go to the range with the goal not to hit any balls?

    “SST” = sweet spot trainer?

My guess is you’re supposed to hit nothing if you’re swinging correctly

For the best feedback, screw your ball to the floor before using
