This took two months to make – Hope you enjoy 🙂

From a young prodigy in Northern Ireland to a global golf icon, Rory McIlroy’s journey begins at Holywood Golf Club and spans the world’s biggest stages. Through setbacks, struggles, and historic triumphs, this is the story of a true golfing legend — The Master

Rory Maroy remarkable Hall of Fame career. [Applause] There is talk today that Rory could be the next great one. I know I can win. I know I can beat all these guys. You thought he’s going to do it. Then you think he’s not going to do it. Go in. Go in. Rory Maroy delivers again. The only person that’s stopping me from doing it is is myself. You watch a guy torture himself. Time for the biggest reset of his career. [Music] May 4th, 1989, in the quiet seaside town of Hollywood, located in Northern Ireland, a boy was born who one day would captivate the golfing world. That is just a wonderful golf shot. Rory Maroy was the only child of Jerry and Rosie Maroy. My mom worked night shift at a local factory. Rory’s father worked multiple jobs just to keep the family afloat and support his son’s golf dream. My dad at one stage was taking on three jobs during the day to support these trips that we were taking to the United States for me to play in golf tournaments. At 2 years old, Rory was in the living room swinging plastic golf clubs with a rhythm that didn’t make sense for a toddler. I always thought I was going to be the best player in the world. Rory’s golf journey started just a few minutes from his front door at Hollywood Golf Club. My dad plays ever since I was about two. He sort of brought me up to the golf club and, you know, sort of let me hit balls about and stuff. Rory began showing a talent for golf at the age of two, learning from his father. you know, he was the one that got me into it. He basically grew up on the golf course from being a kid to playing golf. It was here at the golf club Rory met childhood and still to this day golf coach Michael Bannon. Michael was the pro at Hollywood Golf Club, a family friend, a good friend of my dad’s. Normally, you have to go and you have to start the player off the basic fundamentals of the golf swing and teach them how to swing and move and hit shots. You’re on the golf course for four or five hours at a time with only your thoughts. But at that stage when Rory was eight, he actually had a lot of this. His first television appearance occurred in 1999 following his win at the Under 10’s World Championship. At the age of nine, he showcased his golfing skills on the Irish talk show, The Kelly Show. Um, I took her balls into my mom’s washing machine. Your mom’s washing machine’s here. He was invited onto national TV and was now tipped to be the next biggest thing in golf. You want to be a professional golfer when you grow up? Yes. [Applause] For the next 8 years, Rory developed as a golfer and even represented Europe in the 2004 Junior Ride Cup. Then in 2005, the world really took notice. This is our young prodigy, Alex. Rory Mroy. Rory Mroy from Hollywood and County Down. Irish boys champion and Irish youths champion and recently the West of Ireland amateur champion. Just turned 16. It’s quite brilliant and he looks like he’s enjoying every moment and that’s what I like. Rory’s breakthrough came in 2005 at Royal Port Rush, one of the toughest Lynx golf courses in the world. Whenever I think back about Royal Port Rush and about Lynx golf and and my development, you know, I always think about that round of golf. A member of uh the golf club phoned me and he told me and I thought it was a joke. No one can shoot 61 Royal Port Rush. It’s such a difficult course. He went three under on the front nine with three birdies and then lit up Royal Port Rush with a staggering six birdies and an eagle on the back nine. Finishing the day bogey free and 11 under. It was the first round I’ve ever had without a boogie. When that came through that day that Rory Mroy had shot a course record of 61, it was just a jaw-dropping moment. Almost earthshattering score for a 16-year-old to shoot. Uh you just would never have seen 61 out there. It was like what? Yeah. An amateur, a 16-year-old has just broken the course record at Royal Port Rush. Still only 16, he retained the title he won in such style last year. The following year, Rory defended his titles at the West of Ireland and Irish Amateur Close Championships. The young prodigy to become the first player since Nile Golding in 1991 to successfully defend the West of Ireland crown. You hear so often about, you know, wonder sports kids and they end up never making it. In 2006, Rory competed in the European Amateur Championship. No, I think, you know, I played really well this week. This feels really special at the minute. How old are you? 17. But with Rory, we always heard, you know, there’s this really special golfer from from Hollywood. You want to see this young kid hitting a golf ball. After capturing the European Amateur Championship, the young man from Northern Ireland earned the label team prodigy. There was something different about him, and I can’t really quantify it. It’s just there was always something different about Rory. His win at the European amateurs earned him a spot in the 2007 Open Championship, his first major. That’s Rory Mroy. [Applause] That was for birdie. Irish am Rory Mroy. Second shot to 18. Rory Mroy was an unknown 18-year-old in 2007, but he left Carni with the silver medal, the prize given to the leading amateur at the Open. self-confident without being cocky. The leading amateur and winner of the silver medal is Rory Mroy. He reminded me, frankly, of a guy called Tiger Woods about 10 or 12 years before. He was fearless and he was flawless. And just 3 months later, Rory turned pro. And you know, hopefully I can come out here and play around and hopefully make a name for myself. He’s just turned pro and you’re going to be hearing a lot about him over the next few years. His name Rory Mroy. Rory Makavoy. Now he is a a coming lad from Ireland but tremendous talent. After turning pro, Rory signed with International Sports Management, which quickly attracted early endorsements and his first big sponsor was Jimra Group, a luxury hotel company based in Dubai. So before even entering the professional competition as a pro, Rory was set for life. We’ve seen him in in Europe since he was an amateur and we’ve always known that he had something special. In his second event as a pro, Rory finished tied for third combined with a tie for fourth at the Open D Madrid. Rory had earned enough prize money to get his European tour card. Final day of the Dubai Desert Classic at the Emirates Golf Club. The man they’re trying to catch. There’s Rory Maroy. In 2009, Rory competed at the Dubai Desert Classic. There’s no doubt he has the ability. It’s just a question of letting him develop. [Music] Look at this. Never looked anywhere else. I’m Rory Moy today made a statement to the world. as he walks to the 18th T. He leads by just one shot. [Music] [Applause] He’s got it. My goodness, he’d get her some drama along the way. Michael Roy is a winner of the European tour. And it’s relief as much as anything else. [Music] [Applause] 2009 also became the first year Rory competed in all four major championships within the same season. Steady play across all four majors along with his win at the Dubai Desert Classic helped Rory break into the world’s top 10 for the first time. He was now number nine in the world and the ball was in his court and future in his hands. In 2010, Rory made the jump to the PGA Tour. A day that Rory Maroy won’t soon forget. It was an unbelievable finish at the Coil Hollow Championship. Rory Maroy makes history. Only a few months after he joined the PGA Tour, he won his first tournament. He’s the youngest player to win on tour since Tiger Woods. They’re definitely some great young players. Rory Mroy is probably the top of the young class right now. It was a historic day as 20-year-old Rory Mroy, just two days shy of his 21st birthday, shot a course record 62, exploding on the scene. You know, it’s it’s been a it’s been a crazy ride until this point and um I’m I’m just delighted to get here and to get my first win in the US is very special and to do it on a golf course like this is is even better. The same year, Rory had earned enough points throughout the season to play in his first Ryder Cup. 21 years old, finest young player in the game. Rory Mroy, the young phenom from Northern Ireland, who would be playing on no doubt the first of many European Cup teams. This is the guy that’s going to be the next superstar. And I think players out there know that’s coming, too. How’s he going to cope with the ride of cup pressure? [Applause] Roy. [Applause] With high expectations swirling, entering the 2011 season, then the next year it was time for Rory to win a major. CBS Sports proudly presents the Masters. And the first of the year was the Masters. It’s Sunday at the Masters with the usual final round intensity. I’m Billy Payne and welcome to the 75th playing of the Masters. Often considered the crown jewel of golf, the Masters stands as the sport’s most prestigious tournament. And wearing a green jacket signifies for a lifetime that you are a champion. There is Mroy, the second youngest to lead at the 54 hallmarks. And he’s been the leader since day one. If a youngster like Rory has this title, my goodness, it will just unfold everything for the youngsters. Maroy has been putting on quite the show. Rory had a fourshot lead going into the final round. Rory Mroy now [Applause] for par. Wow. [Applause] He started the day with a bogey on the first and a par on the second, but when Charles Schwarzel eagled on hole three, they were tied at the top. And he’s played a beauty. He’s now tied at the top with Rory Maroy. But he would bogey the next, leaving Rory as the solo leader. Just enough. Rory had maintained a one-shot lead after the first nine, but disaster was about to strike. There is no feeling of pressure from a golfer’s point of view than playing the back nine at Augusta National on Sunday, either in the lead or with a chance to win. And now Rory, look out. I was leading the tournament going into the back nine. Just hit a a p shot on 10 and I just sort of unraveled from there. My goodness. This is a tournament like no other. And it’s the greatest feeling, but the first time you experience it, it it will get to you a little bit because it it’s intense. You want it so bad. Better be careful. Going to get again. Oh my goodness. You know, just sort of lost it. He’s going to get up and over this little tree and that hit it. Oh my god. But to actually go out and perform and do it, it’s uh sometimes you get your own way. Yeah. It just goes from bad to worse. Yeah. His his body and his mind are just overheating right now. You can tell his fifth shot finally finds the surface and it’s not a great one either. The misery is over. It’s ended with a triple and he falls from first to seventh. No, it just does not break from back there. And as it seemed like it couldn’t get any worse. Come on, Rory. Just straight in the back. Keep your head steady. Rory was in his own head. I can’t believe it. I lost a lot of confidence in my putting around the turn. You know, I didn’t really have get anything going. Second guessing lines and second guessing my speed. And you know, on these greens, you can’t do that. Rory Mroy is at a stage right now where he’s got the world at his feet. It’s important not to take the tough losses too badly or too tough. [Music] And it’s so difficult to watch the youngster unraveling. You know, I’ll have plenty more chances. I know that. And hopefully it’ll build a little bit of character in me as well. Only needs one. Charles Schwarzer takes the Masters 2011. [Music] Today it’s live final round coverage of the 111th United States Open. when you lost the Masters and you had to wake up to all these headlines, you know, Rory chokes and so on and so on. From Northern Ireland, Rory Maroy. Do you get depressed when that happens or do you have a side to you that just fires yourself up? If anything, it made me more determined to to go back and and to prove to a lot of people, you know, a choker or, you know, can’t handle the pressure. Um, you know, I was determined to go out and show them that that that wasn’t me. See that? See if he can make it. Mroy is showing us something. Everybody says Mroy is going to be the next great. He’s younger than the rest. Whenever I dreamed of being a professional golfer, it was about winning trophies and it was about, you know, winning major championships. He not only elevates his sport, but he transcends the game. Let’s go. Look at this. Look at this. Rory has what it takes to be a future ball number one. [Music] Another US Open champion. An unreal performance from Rory Mroy, the 2011 United States Open Champion. [Applause] In 2011, Rory’s career soared with his first major title. A hero’s welcome home for Rory Mackoy. Back at the golf club where it all began. And off the course, life wasn’t bad either. That summer, he was seen with Danish tennis star Caroline Wniaki. What do you get when the number one women’s tennis player in the world starts hanging out with one of the world’s top golfers? They are a hot topic. With both Rory and Caroline climbing to the top of their sports, their lives were anything but ordinary. I have a tennis career and I I want to play my best. I want to be the best player that I can be. Is it enjoyable to have Caroline follow you out there on a relaxing day? Yeah, it is. It’s nice. It’s It’s great anytime she’s around. At the end of the day, the most surprising thing is that that I’m happier and that he’s happy as well. [Applause] [Music] With a relationship off the course, Rory seemed to find peace in his personal life and it showed in his game. It’s great to have her at tournaments. You know, it makes me feel a little more relaxed and you know, the only PJ tour event he’s been at this year is the Honda and I end up winning. We are live at the final round of the Honda Classic where for the second straight Sunday, 22-year-old Rory Mroy tries to become the number one ranked golfer in the world and closing in on number one. I think he’s got the the most natural mo motion game today. I think he just he looks great going through the ball. You what do you want to do or what do you want to be when you grow up? And I always say I want to be the best golfer in the world and I want to win majors. And uh I got one of those last year. You know to to add the number one ranking to that would be would be very special. Maybe one of the greatest swings in the game. Everything perfectly sequenced up. Wonderful balance. This is where I want to be. This is why I play golf to to put myself in the contention to to win big tournaments and and try and become the best player in the world. Rory might have that similar special kind of ability that Tiger exhibited for so many years and become the number one player in the world. And Mroy has finally realized his dream. He has ascended to the top of the world by winning the 2012 Honda Classic. And for the rest of the season, Rory was unstoppable. I realize that I’ve got a talent and I want to make the most of it. And I want to see how good I can actually be to break Nicholas’s record of seven. [Applause] Yes, the new ruler of the game of golf is Rory Mroy. Winning that psych major championship was uh for me was a validation. At 23 years and 3 months of age, he became the second youngest player to win two major titles, just behind Jack and just ahead of Tiger. Rory Maroy wins the PGA championship at 14 under shooting a 66 final round score. His second career major. I could win a major championship again. And the way I won it and the place that I won it, it was almost like the perfect league. The Phenom from Northern Ireland seemingly has it all. Charisma, charm, and an otherworldly game. [Music] And it’s pretty quick. Mhm. Oh, this guy. This guy is earning that number one position. Roy Moy is your 2012 BMW champion. You know, I’m just on a good run. You know, I’m playing well. I’m confident. [Applause] [Music] 2013 was a humbling year for Rory Maroy. Despite entering the season as number one, equipment changes. A certain Rory Mroy was unveiled as the new face of sportsware brand Nike on Monday in Abu Dhabi, putting him alongside the likes of boxer Floyd Mayweather, tennis star Roger Federra, and rival Tiger Woods as one of the highest earners in sport. With that new multi-million dollar contract and his form of last year, the weight of expectations led to inconsistency. Rory, can you uh give us your thoughts on what was another disappointing day out there? For me, it’s strange. I mean, I wish I could stand up here and tell you guys what’s wrong or what I need to do to to make it right. Maroy flops again after a 79 and says he’s playing like he’s unconscious. This year it’s sort of been a couple of good days, then a bad day, then a couple of good ones again, then another bad one. How frustrating is it for you that you don’t know why your sensational form of last year has unraveled like this? We’ve got the sun saying brainless. Rory can’t get his head around this form slump. I I can’t really fathom it at the minute and it’s hard to stand up here and tell you guys what’s what’s really wrong. And indeed, this is a common theme amongst the papers this morning. But towards the end of the year, Rory managed to find his form again. I’m starting to get the consistency back in it, which is a good thing. History in the making. It’s the final round of the 2013 Emirates Australian Open. And this is a head-to-head battle. Adam Scott up against Rory Mroy. and an eagle opportunity at the par five second. Yes, the long putter was not the best of friends for Adam Scott today as Adam Scott couldn’t seem to get the putter to work. Rory would sink his important birdie putts for Rory Maroy made a number of putts from that distance today. Right on line now for Maloy. And you are the champion who’ve been winless up until this moment. He is now the 2013 Emirates Australian Open Champion. After his win in Australia, he took his personal relationship with Caroline to the next level. And the couple announced their engagement on the 1st of January 2014. They announced it on Twitter stating, “Happy New Year everyone. I have a feeling it’s going to be a great year. My first victory of 2014,” she said. Yes. You were playing well at the end of the season, getting the win down in Australia and then um getting engaged in the same place. So that was that was quite nice. And after spending a year getting familiar with his new equipment, 2014 was set to become glorious in every way. But that quickly changed. Was this the pick that caused a split between Rory Mroy and Caroline Wnjaki? Rory Maroy has broken off his engagement to Danish tennis player Caroline Fosniaki just days after sending out wedding invitations. Wedding invitations had been sent out already. You were with them, you know, that morning. That’s right. The star golfer and tennis pro have split later in the day. It happened on like a 10-minute call. Oh, I was shocked. I thought at least, you know, I would get a face to face or something, but there was nothing. Time to move on and concentrate on the tournament. And that’s what he did. The roar for Rory. I think I’m I’m proudest of the way I handled my emotions, how I gathered myself when I needed to. Oh, quarter of the ball is over the hole. It’s in the biggest smile of the day from Rory. Oh, that chips in. Would you believe it? Brilliant. Rory Maroy around in 66. And then the 2014 Open Championship on the northwest coast of England. Royal Liverpool Golf Club in Hoy Lake hosted the 143rd Open Championship. I think when you’re going out to play the first round of a major, especially the first round of an open championship, there’s always anxiety there. You’re nervous. After shooting six under par in the first round, Rory went out to his second, eager to avoid a meltdown. A trend we had seen far too often from the young Northern Irishman. There were so many questions asked about it. Rory, when was it exactly that you realized freaky Fridays had become a problem? Do the same things as as you did on Thursday. Then hopefully, you know, another Freaky Friday wouldn’t happen. But then he shot another six under par. I I felt like I put everything to bed. You know, it’ll be nice not to have to answer these questions again for a while. on Saturday. He widened the gap to a six-shot lead [Applause] and you just looked and said, “All right, he just won this thing on Saturday.” Then came the final day of the open and after three great showings, Rory had everything to lose on Sunday. Rory, my boy [Applause] And it’s a birdie opportunity for Maroy. Should go a little left. Should go left. Should go. Oh, yes. He needed that. The walk on 18 is is second to none. Is is so so special. The hairs in the back of your neck stand up and it’s it’s just an incredible feeling. The reception at the Open Championship is um I mean there’s no really like it. Tab it in the champion. This year in 2014, it’s been a difficult 18 months at times um since the start of 2013. You know, winning the CL chug makes makes it all worthwhile. Obviously, the summer has been, you know, the best stretch of golf that I’ve ever played. And, [Applause] uh, you know, just great to to get, you know, back to winning majors, back to world number one. It’s, uh, you know, it’s just been a it’s been a great threat. And we have a shining star at sunset. Rory continues his run to greatness. There’s a great thing in sports I look at is is how good is your good? Everybody can be pretty good when they’re on, but how good is it? And his good is might be some of the best ever. Mroy wins his first WGC event ever and regains his status as the world number one. And as the icing on the cake for the season, he was part of the European team that won the Ryder Cup. A Mroy Masterclass accounted for Ricky Fowler and he also finished the European Tour by winning the race to Dubai. He ended the year by being named 2014 Player of the Year on both the PGA and the European Tour, making him only the second golfer in history to win both awards in the same season. savor the moment with his victory at the 2014 Open Championship. The champion Rory had secured three of the four major titles in golf. The US Open in 2011. An unreal performance from Rory Maw. The PGA Championship in 2012 and 2014. Can it be? Yes. The new ruler of the game of golf is Rory Mackawward. And the open championship in 2014. With three of the four major championships already to his name, only one remained to complete the career grand slam, the Masters, which would prove to become the toughest and most emotional challenger of his career. And it wouldn’t be long before Rory once again found himself within reach of the green jacket. The Masters paired with his childhood idol. Tiger is paired with world number one Rory Mroy. They both started their final round. Rory Mroy 10 back from leader Jordan Spie. [Applause] This for Birdie. Not the start that he want. He made par on the first four and would need something special to have a chance at catching up to speed. Just beautifully read. That was a really difficult part. This is Maroy from the trees at the par four. But then the birdies started coming. What a shot. Yes, Rory Maroy for a much needed birdie. [Applause] Second consecutive birdie. Two under for the day. pays off a brilliant second shot. Bird is at 11 and 13. Gets to minus 10. Well, you go to minus 5 along with an Her Matsuyama for birdie. Oh yes. 66 matching the low round of the day in the company of Tiger no less. Though he never mounted a serious challenge to speed. One of the epic performances in the annals of the sport. Rory’s fourth place finish was his strongest at Augusta so far. [Applause] Despite the career grand slam remaining just out of reach, we have to wait another year 2016 Masters to go for that career grand slam. Rory opened 2015 with a win at the Dubai Desert Classic. And for Rory, it’s the easiest to win. I don’t know what he’s going to achieve this season, but I think it’s going to be something extraordinary. Brilliant. In May, he added two more titles. The WGC Cadillac Match Play Championship. The top seed, the world number one, Rory Maroy, outlasts them all. And the Wells Fargo Championship. But here at 18, one more putt, a par for Mroy to clench it and win number 11 for Mroy on two. The season started strong for Rory. Rory through the years from a pudgy young amateur phenom to the best in the game. But a torn ankle ligament sidelined him for 6 weeks and broke his rhythm. An ankle injury forced Rory Mroy to drop out of last month’s British Open. So knew it must have been really bad. He never really found his form again for the rest of that season. Had an injury, missed a good chunk of the summer. After that, my season was sort of derailed. I remember talking to his trainer at that specific time and I said, “How bad is it?” He said, “It’s bad.” Rory Mroy may have missed the mark on the golf course at the Irish Open, but he found something else. But his love life was in full swing. He appeared in public with his new girlfriend for the first time since his high-profile breakup with tennis player Caroline Wniaki. The new mystery woman in Rory’s life was quickly unveiled to be Erica Stole. The couple would get married in 2017. You’re getting married. I’ve got you a wedding present. Box of socks. What’s all this about? Just in case you get cold feet again. They would bring a little girl into the world in 2020. Over the next few years, Rory would win some admirable tournaments. There’s going to be a cheer at the end of this one. What a shot. What a incredible shot. Absolutely fluffed right down the pin. Thank you very much. Rory, it’s your champion. steps right in and this time the third time’s a charm and Rory Mroy wins the tour championship and the FedEx Cup in 2017. Rory had a setback in the shape of a winless season was the first time there was a a lot of negativity that was focused at him personally and his game. Part of it was also due to Nike’s exit from the equipment market. A familiar logo that has been on and inside the bags for some of the biggest names in the game will transition out of the equipment business. After testing multiple brands, Rory ended up signing a long-term deal with Tailor Made worth $100 million. The old Rory was back. To get back to this level again, um, you know, it means I’m I’m doing the right thing. 220 yards into the wind with a five iron. What a glorious shot. What a finish. Rory Maroy is a twotime FEX Cup champion at East Lake. And Rory Maroy, the de facto current face of the PGA Tour, gets it done. While one tournament win a year is enough for many, Rory measures success in majors, but ever since his win at the PGA Championship in 2014. And we have a shining star at Sunset. Rory continues his run to greatness. He wouldn’t win another major for a long time, but he came very close. He finished second in the 2018 Open Championship. It’s going to be another excellent open finish for Rory Marai and second in the 2022 Masters. Bunker to bunker. This is impossible. [Music] Anything’s possible and was the co-leader going into the final round at the Open Championship in 20122 where he finished third. That cut right there had to be so antilumatic for Rory Maroy. He hit the ball so well. Then in 2024 at the US Open, I’ve been waiting a long time to win a major championship after my last one. We welcome you to Pinehurst, the US Open, where history has been made before, and it will again today. Rory was once again within reach of a major title, a chance to break the 10-year spell. Please welcome our 2011 US Open champion, Rory Mroy. [Applause] He started the final round three behind leader Bryson Duchambo. He’s been the star of the show, Bryson Dejambo. As unique as stars, the game is seen. I love the test that Pinehurst is presenting. It’s what a US Open should be like. And Mroy put his foot on the gas from the beginning. And Mroy out of the gates quick with a birdie from 21 ft and quickly got within one. He did it and he did it. Yes, he did. But he just pins out on the right. First bogey for the Shambo. But just after Bryson missed, Rory also made bogey. Did he do it? Ah, what a heartbreaking hole. Pretty much trying to see where he was on every hole. I even saw it on 10 where he made birding. I’m like, “Oh man, he’s gunning. He’s going for it.” Mroy looking. Bryson Dashambo trying to win this championship for the second time along with Maroy who has been chasing that elusive fifth major for 10 years now. Back to back for M. Rory was playing better than ever and was leading by one going into the 16th hole. And M boy with a miss. A miss that would cost him dearly. As one of the most exciting final rounds in US Open history reached the 72nd hole, Mroy and Dambo were tied at six under. Rory’s one of the best to ever play and being able to fight against a a great like that is pretty special. made it all the way through there. Smiley pointed out when Bryson kind of hit that shot at at on like off that route and he couldn’t hit the tree right there. Longer and you get tangled up to the right. This is going to run into the bunker. And he found himself in that bunker. I was like, “Oh my god, we’re going to a playoff.” Rory in the hunt for that fifth major that he’s been chasing for a decade. And the chip shot just ran out a little bit and got past the wall. He made it look simple. Long bunker shot lies ahead for Bryson now. Oh, caught the slump. Ran up there. Right below the hole goes to Shampo. I saw a um a statline that he had made like 460 something putts within 493 3t 9 in for Rory. With a disappointing end to the round, Rory could do nothing but wait. It’s Sunday at the Masters with premium conditions and a cadre of contenders who are primed to make their case for the coveted green jackets. People ask if you could only play one golf course for the rest of your life, what would it be? And I think walking around this place every day would be pretty cool. It was finally time for the 2025 Masters and Rory was in the form of his life. It’s the first time he’s won twice on the US tour before the Masters. Beach has a popular champion afterwards got another player’s title, but also under more pressure than ever. I I mean, he’s playing the best golf that we’ve seen in quite some time. And if he does it and he completes the career grand slam, it will be unequivocally one of the great accomplishments in golf history. If if not now, guys, I don’t think it ever happens. And going into the final round, Rory had a two-shot lead. I just have to keep my head down and focus on my job. He’s playing for something bigger. He’s playing for golf immortality. When you have a long career like I have had, luckily, you sort of just learn to roll with the punches, the good times, the bad times, knowing that those disappointments will turn into good times again pretty soon. With the exception of an early double bogey, that is a six. Rory’s round was solid. Going into the 13th hole, he was four shots clear of the field. When he pulled three off the tea, I was like, “Okay, okay, he’s going to lay up here. It’s the right decision.” The only thing he couldn’t do was put it in the creek uh with the second shot. And and the tournament’s his [Music] [Applause] worst wedge, I’m sure of. One of the most dubious shots in the history of the tournament. Now, it seemed to be a flashback to 2011. Come on, Rory.
