In this video I will discuss how to fix your stance so that your swing is efficient and you can finish in a balanced position.
I get a lot of questions asking how to take your stance to hit a good shot and how where your feet should be with the irons. Put the feet fairly close together in terms of like right under your hips. Really good for the iron shots wider with a driver. And here you see my feet straight out, but that’s not so easy to swing with your feet dead straight. Sometimes people their hips are too tight to hit in that position. And sometimes if you’re a baseball player, people even turn their feet inward, which makes it even harder to be consistent. very difficult to make a follow through because the front hip, not so much the back one, but this front foot as it’s in this way a little bit will lock that hip, make it very difficult for you to finish your swing. What tends to work best is the feet turned out slightly to the sides, especially the front foot or the left foot even turned out more, which allows you to turn your body through this way a lot easier. Opens up that left hip. So, turning that foot outward a little this way. you see here actually can help free the front hip and allow your body to rotate much easier into the finish. So if we’re struggling to get through the shot, struggling to have good balance, turn that foot out and you can rotate right through to a full finish and have great balance.
