Hey there guys, Mr. Short hitter here. Don’t look like a short hitter to me. I want to thank Joe Ross for sending me these Kirkland golf balls, the new 2025 version. He wanted me to test them out. He said the old balls from 2023 had good and bad reviews. I know because I did review that golf ball. It’s a windy day. That’s why I have this on. But you guys are going to get a few extra holes because I actually took this golf ball out a couple months ago. played a few holes with it, tested it out, but I wanted to take a fresh look at the golf ball because a couple months have passed. Let’s get to it. Okay, hopefully the wind doesn’t blow my camera over right of the path. Hopefully, it didn’t hit part of that path cuz I want to see how far it went. I don’t know if you can see this, but not a very good start here. Just right at bridge. So, I’m actually glad it didn’t hit the bridge. So, we can see where this ball carried. So, carried right here into the bank. I hit this pretty good. The question is, is this ball a higher spin ball? I know the previous version I was getting a lot of spin with the driver, a lot more than I wanted. So, definitely into the wind. In any event, let’s take a drop and go from there. 141. into that same wind. I’m going to go ahead and hit a seven iron cuz it gets a little firm there in the front. The pin is on the left, but if we blow it out to the right, those trees will get in the way. So, miss here is left. Sit. Sit. Went long. 10 paces to the green. 15 paces down to the hole. So, I was going to hit a 54, but I’m just going to go ahead and hit a 58. Land it just a little on the green. These are the times that I feel like the 58 comes in handy. Not really necessarily trying to hit high flop shots like that. and turn. Going to save bogey here. Limmonade is a little different than the other one, but still kind of minimalist look. Says performance plus on it. Couple arrows. Not really big and bold. It’s a downhill putt here. The wind is obviously blowing right to left now. The flag’s not moving. Can’t feel any wind back here, but up in the treetops, it’s got to be moving right to left. So 176 is getting pretty firm to a red pin. I’m going to go ahead and hit a five hybrid. I’m not really concerned about hitting it short because I’ve been practicing that shot. right may hurt me a little. So guys, if you watch my video on shortsighted, you know I’m a little shortsided here because this goes down and away. Since I’ve got nothing in front of me, I’m just going to hit a five hybrid. Just make sure I get it on the green. The lie is not really great to try to hit like any type of flop shot. And if I just hit the 54 and landed on the fringe there, or 58, landed on the fringe, it would probably roll 12 15 ft past the hole. So, I’ll just hit the five hybrid. And if I hit it perfect, I can get it close. If not, I may be 12 15 ft past the hole anyway. [Music] [Music] through July 18th. It is Christmas in July at Golfball Planet. Get 15% off plus a free dozen whiffle balls with the code July 2025. And you can always save 18% by using my discount code, MSH18. I wouldn’t be surprised if this ball was a high spinning ball throughout the bag. This grain is running away, so it’s not going to stop there or anything. I feel like this is going to be a high spinning ball. with the wedges, irons, and hopefully not too much spin with the driver. And it’s definitely a little bit firmer, or I would say firmer than like a Prov1. What I’ll do next is I’m going to show you the three holes I played a few months ago, 2 3 months ago. Um, I want to thank Joe Ross for sending me these Kirkland balls. And then after you wash those three holes, we’ll put the numbers of everything, all the data for the 50 yard shot, 7 iron, and the driver. And again, if you don’t want to see that, you can skip right ahead to the data at the end. Nothing like starting a ball review on a hole where you could potentially lose the ball. I’m going to go at that bridge there. Maybe if I hit it right at that bridge like Mo Norman, I could bounce over it. But it’s about a little under 200 carry. Okay. Little fade towards the middle of the fairway. I’m at the corner here and you can kind of see these trees that overhang. The pin is tucked right on the right edge of that green. So, you would have to go over all of these trees to get to that pin. And those trees are getting pretty tall. So, I’m going to play it a little at the left side of the green. And really to play here is to be a little short if anything. It’s a ball mark right here. This would be a pretty good drive if it flew all the way here. 119. Wind’s blowing left to right. I didn’t feel like I hit that shot that poorly. And maybe there’s more wind up there than I think, but that ball really tailed off to the right. So, we clipped one of those trees we were trying to avoid or ended up flying to here. Front left would have been a lot better. This ball feels really good coming off the putter. Okay, 327 with the slope. [Music] Very, very loud shot. And now 129 with the slope. So, hit it off the toe. 198 total in the back left portion of the green. I’ll go ahead and hit a seven iron. Should be able to get this past the pin [Music] that pretty good. And it went really high. Maybe a tad off the toe. Should have flew past the pin. As you know, I never like hitting it over the green, but I wanted to test this ball and see if with that seven iron, it would fly past the pin from 129, and it did just that. So, I made a career out of avoiding spots like this over the green. Never want to be over the green with the green running away from you. But here I got enough green to work with. I’ll just hit a little toe down 58. [Music] It’s a fringe. And I don’t know if that helped me or hurt me. [Music] So, we did hit it right there. 114 124 with the slope. I’ll go eight iron here. And again, if I strike this solidly, 124 with the slope, we have wind helping. It should be past the pin. Okay. Did not strike a silent, so it won’t be past the pin for sure. [Music] 190 to the beginning of the fairway. [Music] 368 to the flag with the slope and the wind is maybe blowing 12 to 15 somewhere in there. Probably closer to 12 miles an hour. [Music] That ball as good as I could hit it. Okay, we are into the wind. 171 with the slope. I’d be pushing a four hybrid for sure. Go ahead and hit a highwood here. Cleveland 3+ Highwood 18 degree. [Music] Pretty solid, but a little fade. It’s going maybe 15, 20 ft right in the flag. And I heard something up there. So, I don’t know if it took a big bounce or what. So, that ball was struck pretty solidly, but I do not see a ball mark. I kind of thought there was a ball mark in here. Someone left a little plastic on the green and I’ll use that to help me line this shot up. Does break right to left downhill. [Music] [Music] I’ll head the line. [Music] Oh, pulled it right from the beginning. The data for the Kirkland Signature was pretty impressive. So, first starting at 50 yards, the Kirkland launched about 2° higher than the Prov1. Had about 900 RPM less spin. The descent five degrees steeper, peak height one yard higher. So pretty good performance from 50 yards. With the seveniron, the Kirkland had about 1 mph less ball speed. Launched a little over a half a degree higher, spin really close, the descent really close, peak height close, carry three yards shorter, and the total 5 yards shorter. with the driver. The Kirkland had point4 less ball speed launched really close spin really close the descent close peak height close carry the same total only one yard shorter than the prov1 in this test the Kirkland did a lot better than the previous Kirkland golf ball. I hope you enjoyed the video. If you did enjoy the video like, comment, subscribe. Until next time, Mr. Shore hitter out. To go.

  1. Good review. I had the 2023 ones (wife bought them) and they weren’t that bad. One day maybe you can do a review on their Wedges?

  2. I just tried the members mark balls from Sam’s and thought they are pretty good I would like to get your opinion and comparison against the Kirkland if possible Thanks!

  3. Personally I typically play either Kirkland or Callaway SuperSoft. Any chances of you doing a comparison video on these two??

  4. I still don't understand how people still don't understand. Kirkland does not make anything. They get overun balls each year from different manufacturers and put the Kirkland name on them. Every year it's a different ball. It's like Sears put the name Kenmore on appliances and charged premium for the name and they all were Whirlpool not so premium

  5. You mentioned Moe Norman. IMO he’s never gotten the recognition he deserves. Often referred to as the best ball strikers, I would instead say he was one of the most unique and consistent hitters of his era. He’s one of my all time favs. I use his single plane swing for wedges and a traditional swing for the other clubs. Well, it’s a traditional method mixed with Stack and Tilt to accommodate my arthritic hip.
As MSH advised, I found what works for me and I make it work for me.
As for Kirkland balls, I love em. Perfect price and perfect fit for my level of play.

  6. Looks like this version of the Kirkland ball definitely warrants a test. I wonder if the yellow painted ball performs the same. I've heard that sometimes the yellow balls don't perform the same as the exact same model in white.

  7. I played them (Kirkland) and found them somewhat less durable. The price is right and I will try the new version. Thanks for your input.

  8. Good review. How was the durability? Scuff easily? I know that less expensive bals in the ProV1 area tend to be less durable.
